There’s a reason that the parking lot is always empty. I think the food must be pre-made. Would not recommend this place.

I have been very hesitant to try this place because the parking lot is always empty. I just figured if no one was ever there… It must not be very good. Well, I was wrong! I am so happy to report that it is good! Really good in fact. Every time I see salad rolls on the menu, I get them. This place has some of the best. She uses very, fresh veggies and it tastes great. I got the teriyaki chicken and although the portion size was… meh, it tasted perfect. The presentation isn’t great, so I was expecting it to be disappointing, but nope. It was delish. I tried only one piece of sushi, and although it was good… I don’t feel like I have experienced enough sushi here to comment on it any further… Like the reviews before my noted… The wait is very long. It’s just the one lady making the food. So, if you are even slightly in a hurry, try it another time. You will need to be wearing your patient pants when you visit this place for a meal. I wish more people went here… I’m scared they will go out of business and that would make me sad :-(Go. Eat. Get the salad rolls!

What a gem! My husband, 20 month old son & I took my father here for his first ever Japanese-American food experience. To be safe I ordered him a bowl of Udon soup with tempura for under $ 10. He loved it. The broth was wonderful and the thinly sliced fried onions delicious! I shared a rice dish(forgot name, starts with a B) with hubby made of potatoe starch noodles, beef, mushrooms & rice. Wow, it blew us away with delicate flavors. We also shared a 9 piece California roll. It was huge, the size of my palm around. Every item had a Korean twist added to it such as pickled vegetables. We did wait a long time for food and we were the only ones there, but it was well worth it!

Not many(any) options for japanese food in The Dalles, but this is a nice option. I like their sushi and they have many other tasty items as well. It’s definitely a quite place, but they do a nice job and I appreciate them being here!

I do not recommend Midori Sushi. First hint we should of left was that the place was completely empty. Sushi was pretty blah. Tasted like it was just taken out of a fridge and prepared a few days before. Sweet n sour had scraps of dried chicken. Yakisoba noodle had what looked like burnt frozen mixed vegetables mixed in. It had the smell of an old ash tray. Miso soup came last and smelt like an ash tray as well. Complained to the lady and she acted like we didn’t know what Miso should taste like. She totally ignored the fact the multiple dishes smelled liked cigarettes. Went down the street to KFC, paid half the price.
