Dead River Expeditions

This is a fantastic company to go with if you want a great weekend of rafting.
They offer trips on the Kennebec and Dead rivers. The guides at Dead River Expeditions are all excellent, with lots of knowledge, and are extremely friendly and welcoming.
This is a smaller company, so you aren’t going down the river with huge numbers of rafts with a generic steak/​chicken lunch afterwards. DRE keeps the numbers lower which leads to a more personal interaction with the employees. There really is a family feel to this company. The lunch is truly a home cooked meal. Nothing beats a great day of rafting followed by a great lunch (including desert!).
The lodging is fantastic as well. Cheap, clean, and they cook you a great breakfast in the morning.
I’ve been rafting with other rafting companies in the Forks area and DRE is definitely the best all round. Great rafting and great people.
