My plantation shutters are stunning! Troy is so personable and kind and wonderful to work with! He made this prt of our big move easy. The quality is so much nicer than the big chain store I used in the past and for a better price. I didn’t feel like a number but felt like a friend helping us. Troy at Downs Designs was a pleasure to work with — we had Norman Shutters installed throughout our home and they look amazing. The estimating, measuring and installation were all handled professionally and they took good care of our home while the shutters were being installed.
Shutters aren’t cheap but comparing Troy’s prices to Next Day Blinds made this an easy decision. Great all around!

We just had plantation shutters installed in our house and I wanted to write up a glowing recommendation for Troy Downs here on Unilocal.He was very easy to work with and the quality of his product and installation were very high. His prices are amazing — almost half the price of the other quotes we received. In fact, he even gave us the same pricing for piecemeal installation over time vs. «big bang» all at once, which meant we could prioritize areas of the house and do the shutters as we could afford them.
I’ve had friends who had nightmare experiences with other vendors and all I can say is he was an absolute pleasure to work with and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
