Gator’s Dockside

The wine label is weak, there is more beans in the nachos than chili and the wings are way over cooked. Service is attentive. Oh yea, dim the lights…

After waiting 30 minutes for a table which we expected… we waited longer for drink and appetizer order to be taken and even longer to order our meals. the food took longer than the ridiculous amount of time it took to take our order… our appetizer order was wrong, our wing sauce was wrong… we were told the manager was coming to the table… she didn’t…she instead comp’ed two kids meals and charged us for the more expensive incorrect appetizer… all in all the visit was a disaster: the server was nice but the ordering process, food, and check were a disaster! They are going to have a real problem when things are in full season in The Villages. People we came here with at the same time with the same number of people were walking out when we got out meal and they were complaining how long the meal took! Shame on the manager for not coming to the table!

Every time I have been to Gator’s Dockside, it has been good. I had never been there before 4 weeks ago, and now I’ve been there 6 times in 3 weeks! The sweet Thai chili sauce is the best! Love the jalapeño egg rolls! Everything I have had has been good.

Overall horrible service. Had 3 different servers none of them knew what we ordered. Mangmenent was in a high horse and threatened to call police after we decided to leave. had to put her in her place and let her know she was a incompetent manager. Food was forgotten to put in and was wrong when we got it.

We came for lunch on Saturday afternoon. A party of 70 was in the back watching the game so they told everyone they can’t seat anyone else for 30 – 45 minutes. We were already seated but watched at least 40 people get turned away from half full restaurant. Also on this visit the service was slow (we ordered before the 70) and the staff had a bad attitude. The food was mediocre at best. This was our second visit and probably our last.

Excellent sports pub! Good food and drink specials. Many tv’s for catching almost any sports activity! Laid back, casual and not in a hurry type of barroom! Many seats at the bar, high tops and tables all with good view of televisions! Clean and friendly!

Service was horrible! We waited for almost an hour after ordering and finally left because we never got our food. Waiter was all over the place. Watched the bar tenders play fight with each other while waiting. Some entertainment!/

We were parched and famished, and wanted to wet our whistles and have a quick nosh.
Our expectations were low, and we didn’t want anything battered, which makes up a large portion of their bill of fare.
An order of Buffalo Wings and a couple of beers, that seemed like the safe bet.
The wings came out quick, they were juicy, succulent and tasty! The beers were 2 for 1, so the entire bill was around $ 10.00
Good stop, eat outside if you can.

Excellent! The Service here is outstanding. The staff is super friendly. The building is very clean. As are the bathrooms. Looks like it may be brand-​new.
I was traveling through on a work trip. I ordered the turkey burger without a bun and in in a lettuce wrap. The manager came out a few minutes later and asked me how I would like that prepared. I guess it can be confusing sometimes. The turkey burger was amazing. There were avocados and a special wasabi sauce on it. Side salad had cheese and bacon. It was very fresh.
Overall A great experience. I will definitely be back!

Just average food. Can cater to large groups. Great setting, large indoor bar and outside eating.

5 star review for this establishment. We have over 60 people in our group and the service has been fantastic.
We get together every game day to watch the MI State football game and this is our first time at Gators Dockside at Brownwood. I hope we make this a regular stop.
Amazed at how well the servers can keep up with us. The food and drinks are great. But even more important are the 10 HD TVs sounding our group.
Way to go Gators for making our group feel like you really appreciate our business.
