Since I’m a picky gourmet cook on the run (not by profession) I personally would rate the food quality more of a 3 — 3 ½. Nonetheless I frequent Café on the Run often because it just meets many of my family’s needs.
I assure you that you will find many favorites.
The convenience, price and variety pushes it to 4 star.

Café On the RUN has a perfect location in the HEB at the end of the Market Street. The food is made fresh daily and there are plenty of healthy options for your friends watching their diet.
Good– for lunches with the boss, a quick take home meal for dinner, or meeting friends for a snack before hitting the Market Street. I have tried the goat cheese and mushroom quesadilla. It’s really tasty, but not for everyone. You must like both the distinct flavor of the cheese and mushrooms. YUM! They have great flavored chicken breasts and healthy veggie options. I haven’t tried their salad bar, but the selection looks pretty good.
Bad– It gets crowded at lunchtime with both shoppers and people trying to get a quick bite. Although the staff is nice, some days they can be slow and indifferent.
Parking can be a bit of nightmare during events. It sucks sometimes and I don’t like driving around in circles, but I also don’t want to encourage Parking Nazis because I know NO ONE likes getting towed!
Ugly– Nothing to report yet. It will remain on my «go to list» when I need a quick meal.
