Walked in here today and was quite disappointed. They only had a few items available and the vast majority of the items shown on the menu on line were not available. It’s pretty misleading to have a great menu on line then offer your customers a flat bread or grilled cheese. The place is very small and not inviting. Just a waiting room with some basic snacks for parents who have kids at school of Rock. Some other reviews on here appear to be more advertisements than real reviews. Probably will not be going back.

This place rocks, literally. Walked in here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! We had hand crafted, fresh and delicious sandwiches and stellar freshly brewed coffee. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was fun and casual. If you come during the right time of day/night you’ll see people rocking out — maybe students from«The School of Rock» next door(partners with DSOTS) or their instructors. Pretty awesome. This is a neighborhood gem and we’ll be back for sure.

This is more of a snack bar to the music school next door than a restaurant. Waited 45 minutes for nachos and a pizza. Would have left, but it was a groupon. You can get the same selection of food at the Target concession counter. Very limited seating. Was expecting more of a Hard Rock Café atmosphere than a teenage hangout.

Although Dark Side is open to the public, I felt like an intruder. The café is open to the music school next door, and is really more of an upscale snack bar for the school’s students and their families. There are only 4 small tables, otherwise, you get to awkwardly eat on one of the big leather couches. Only two people were working, but being such a small place, it was enough. Both employees were very nice. I don’t see how the live music on Friday nights thing works; there’s no room in there! Obviously, they make it happen, but I think I’d get a little claustrophobic. My sandwich was actually very good. I tried the brisket sandwich, which also had avocado on it. Good combination, and supported well by the ciabatta bread. My biggest problem with the menu is that it’s so limited — just a few sandwiches, brisket nachos, and a few flatbreads. There’s a «build your own» flatbread option. Some self-serve frozen yogurt for the kids, too. Prices on everything except the yogurt were good, with the yogurt being a ridiculous 66 cents per ounce. I’m used to paying 44 – 47 cents at other places around town. I can see why others may give the Dark Side a higher rating, but I left underwhelmed. I also doubt I’m the target audience, so take my opinion with a grain of salt!

Saturday«Open mic night.» Fun to hear local musicians. BBQ brisket nachos: saw several other tables with them and gave it a shot. Really tasty.

I decided to try this place today because lunch can be redundant over here and I was wanting to somewhere new. I was very surprised by their prices because they were so reasonable! I ordered the prosciutto flatbread and it was delicious! The sauce had a ton of flavor and the mozzarella tastes far fresh! The guy at the counter was really nice and it was really awesome to see the kids learning music at the school that connects to it! I hope they grow and make the seating area bigger because this food is great! The beer is a plus as well
