I was able to sample Cashio’s food at the food pavilion at the Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo. They were serving fried shrimp, fish and oysters, as well as crawfish ettouffe.
We tried to the shrimp boat which was a huge amount of fried shrimp (super crispy with a thicker batter) and crinkle cut french fries (which were OK but nothing special) AND a school roll. (C’mon you know what a school roll is one of those fluffy white rolls that are baked in a big pan so that the bottoms are all square and the tops are all round. LOVE them.) As befits being steps away from the Gulf the shrimp were delicious as was the taste of ettouffe that I tried.
I will definitely seek out their booth at any future festivals/​fairs.
