Absolutely terrible. The salsa with chips was bland, the steak I ordered for dinner was tough, and the rice and beans was disgusting. The only positive was the beer which was bottled. Avoid this place like the plague.

I had to endure a meal at this abomination while visiting family in Moultrie. How this place stays in business is beyond me. I’ve eaten at some bad places before, but this would have to take a spot on my top 5. You know it’s bad when you actually hope for food poisoning just so you can get it out of your system quicker. I would drive 50 miles out of my way to avoid going there again.

I eat here from time to time, so far its been pretty good. The service was fast and the tea has always been good. I got the steak soft taco dinner with three tacos rice and beans to go today. The meal came with chips that were good but the sauce was a little hot for my taste. Over all a positive experience.

Please don’t do this to yourself. I have never regretted forcing a meal down as much as when I ate here. My husband and I were both ill. Dooon’t do it.

This was one of the worst dinners I’ve ever had, even for a Mexican restaurant. –food took an hour. When we complained, we were served cold food that had either been taken from the oven early after we complained or had been sitting. – I started to fear for my health after eating the chile relleno. I think the pepper underneath may have been sautéed kudzu. Everything tasted bad. – salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. – mother in law’s fajitas looked like frozen stir fry ingredients without the sauce I’ve had better meals here. Hope this is not a trend for them but probably won’t come back again for a long time.

*EDIT: After living in T-ville for half a year, there have been times when my gf and i, tired from working, tried to figure out where to go to eat. And since Fogata is closest, we default to it. Every time we go, its like… why did we come here. We shoulda just cooked. I no longer give it a 3.3. Maybe I just hadn’t eaten mexican in months, but its pretty basic. OLDREVIEWBELOW. Would return. Actually a 3.3 than a 4 star but… Yeah it’s pretty basic but it’s CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP Chips and salsa are decent. The salsa is a lil hot, a little smokey, I wish it was a lil more herby, but definitely NOMS. I ordered the Chimicanga #13 on the lunch menu and a soda. She ordered a Super Burrito. My Chimicanga was decent. Nice pastry-ish style wrap. COULD have been a little more hot in temperature, but overall, it was tasty with the salsa. The total for the meal was $ 14 for 2 people, OMGSOCHEAP!

Service can be a little slow, but the food is some of the best tex mex ever. The house specialty has the best of everything., but since we’ve come at lunch today we are ordering a little something different. The Chile Relleno is always my favorite, but the tostada, burrito and tamales are so, so good. Drink refills were offered when the food was brought out, as were additional chips and salsa. That was the last time the waiter visited our table. We had to go to the counter for take out box and to get check.

After having their chips & salsa once I decided to give La Fogata a lunch chance when I found myself in Thomasville. Thomasville is a great place to eat and there are so many wonderful choices of independents here. My #17 was a beef burrito, a beef enchilada, rice and beans. I ordered a taco to round out the meal. Every thing was very mild– a little too mild for my taste. The best thing on the plate were the chopped tomatoes. If you knew me, you would know that tomatoes are not high on my list of foods I love to eat. However these were brilliant red, meaty and had a wonderful flavor without the addition of massive amounts of salt and pepper. The taco was great but again, the meat was uninspired. The same meat was used in all my dishes. As much as I liked chips and salsa, I was hoping for some knock my socks off Mexican food. It didn’t.
