Best Priced Handyman

So, we bought a home in Thompson’s Station, TN and we were looking for a Jack of all trades type handyman. Home Depot recommended this guy. At first he seemed attentive to our needs and willing to work. When we hired him for bathroom remodeling, he asked for $ 3,000.00 up front for a $ 4,500.00 job.
First thing that ticked me off about him and his helper were their vile smoking habit. They were either smoking or reeking of smoke, every time I dealt with them. When I asked them about the pile of cigarette butts on my driveway, the guy Pete Markowitz told me to «relax» and that they would clean them up.
They would come early but left by 1:30 or 2pm everyday. This project had a time constraint on it, which they were well aware of. After finally completing 2 tubs and a master shower, well over 1 month, they leave a mess on my back porch and left 1 tub/​shower combo incomplete. They even used my brand new shop vac to clean up their mess in the bathrooms. They were nice enough to change the collection bag with 1 of my own, that I paid for.
It is my duty as a responsible citizen to highly not recommend these guys. If I am able to save just 1 family from going through, what this jerk put us through, then my mission is accomplished.
