This is my family’s fave spot for brunch… I love everything here. The special french toasts are always delish. And the staff is über friendly.

I really like going here for breakfast on my day off when I get a chance. My favorite is the banana walnut pancakes and a side of sausage. They are usually busy on the weekends but that says the food is good. So if you have to wait that is part of life and doesn’t mean the place had bad service.

Pretty good food and service. Been there 4 times and was good each time except once. The last time there my breakfast was burnt.

This place reminds me of Nudy’s which used to have a restaurant in Downingtown but no longer does. The French Toast with bananas and walnuts was OK but not really as good as Nudy’s or a number of other places. Lower prices substitute for really quality preparation. The service was OK as well. I feel comfortable with a rating average.

Thorndale’s little best kept secret! Kelly’s is the place where you want to take guests and out of towners for a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing, attentive and friendly. Their food is great, and comes out very quickly. We started ordering food to go, and when we pick up, there is always a line of people out the door. The owners are wonderful, and portion sizes are amazing!

Awesome place all around. Food, service. Only down side is that place is too small and crowded but that’s nothing that can be helped!

Great little hometown lunch spot. You get what you would expect from a descent breakfast/lunch place. The food is consistent and the waitresses always go out of their way to make our kids feel special.

Whether you come for breakfast or lunch, the food is absolutely amazing. Everything is homemade and the ingredients are always fresh. The scrambler is my favorite breakfast and the salad and wraps are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend Kelly’s!

Wonderful breakfast/lunch place! As with Cheers, «everybody knows your name!» Very friendly and attentive staff. We love it. Not sure why basic breakfast items and sandwiches taste better at Kelly’s but they do. Only drawback as can be a crowd for breakfast on weekends and a wait. Worth it.

This has the best«small town» breakfast place feel. The food is fast and cheap. Pretty average breakfast selection, but the wait staff is super nice and very attentive. The coffee is hot and the owners are nice. They have become my regular weekend breakfast place. It just feels very homey, and I like that.

My family moved here from Texas less than a year ago and I’ve been on the lookout for good eateries ever since. I chose the Giant grocery store in this strip mall as my go-to for shopping, but did not notice Kelly’s until a friend came to visit me from Australia for my 68th birthday. She wanted to take me and another friend from Philly out to lunch and found Kelly’s here on Unilocal. She liked the sound of the reviews so we chose to give Kelly’s a try. I have to say that I was very impressed by the food, service, and costs. Food came quickly and was very well cooked. I had a mushroom burger that was made exactly the way I like it, and the waitress fulfilled both of my special requests regarding condiments and exchanging chips for salad with a smile. My friends received the same kindly service and ate every bite off their plates, so obviously they enjoyed their food too. One special note… my friends and I have not seen each other in quite a while, so we had a lot to talk about. No one complained or pressured us in any way to hurry up and vacate our table once we finished our meals, even after we discovered that they had actually already closed for the day 15 minutes before we were ready to leave. To me that is amazing. I will wait until I try the breakfast menu to see if I’m prepared to up my rating from a 4 star to 5 star, which I suspect may happen. I only go grocery shopping once a month at Giant, and my Grandchildren always accompany me to help. I now know exactly where we will go to eat before shopping in June… Kelly’s for sure.

Not a bad breakfast but not good either. My in-laws rave about this place but they do live in the sticks. Coffee was good, but the cream was in those little containers but better than a powder, OJ was nothing special. I had the eggs benedict which was pretty average and the side of bacon which they initially forgot was inedible. Next time they take me I am trying something simpler. Service was fine.

Great food, great service and fast!!! I was in the area so decided to check this place Out on Unilocal. It had good reviews on Unilocal so we checked it out. What a great spot this is. It was pretty crowded but our waitress was right there as soon as we sat down and our drinks were there in no time. She recommended the chicken salad sandwich for me and it was awesome. Also, the food came out super fast and it was delicious. On top of all that, pricing was great. This place deserves every bit of the five stars I gave it. Not one bad thing about it

This is a nice lunch place in the Thorndale area — I’ve only been there a few times, but it is a nice break from work and a good place to get a soup and sandwich with not too much fuss.

Being big breakfast fans, we were excited when we discovered this place. Our first visit, the service was awesome and the food was good and hot! We decided a couple of weeks later to get breakfast to go. We picked it up and discovered no silverware, napkins, condiments, etc in the bag, but we managed.(The food was good, but pancakes are always better with a fork and syrup!) We decided to do take out again, and while this time we had all the condiments, the portion sizes were well over ½ the size smaller than what we’d gotten before. Not enough sausage gravy to cover the biscuits, the bacon was folded over in and wrapped in aluminum foil and was one big clump, maybe 5 pieces of potato for home fries, etc. This morning we woke up early and decided to go in again to see if maybe that’d be better… Sadly, we don’t know because we never got our food! After our order was taken, we sat and chatted and we began realizing everyone had food but us. After waiting 20 mins., our waitress came over and said«your food will be a few more minutes» and before we could say anything she went back in the kitchen. After another 10 minutes, and watching food delivered to tables who came in AFTER we ordered, we decided to leave. We would’ve let our waitress know, but she never came out of the kitchen after telling us our food would be just a few minutes. So we left a few dollars on the table to cover our drinks, let another waitress on the floor know we were leaving and why, and got out of there. We wanted it to be good, but it’s just not. I get the sense though that they have a regular clientele that they cater to so there’s probably no chance of them improving or us going back.

Best breakfast & lunch spot in the area! Food is great, service is friendly. You may have to wait to get a table on the weekend but its worth it!

Place sucked the first time I ordered to go. Gave them benefit of the doubt, since there is no where else to really get a great breakfast except the local diner. This place lacks customer service! I get better good mornings and good afternoons at the local banks and diners. For a waitress to take my order and not greet us, followed by a, «what do you need?» speaks volumes of your business. Then when I asked for salt and pepper on my eggs, they look at you as if we’re asking for a complicated order? I ordered a breakfast hoagie and no where on the menu does it say they flood it with home fries. I couldn’t see the bread to my sandwhich. My wife ordered the breakfast wrap which comes with salsa and sour cream. We had to drive back to pick it up because it was never placed in the bag. Only to then eat the food and the taste is mediocre at best. Kelly you need to step it up. I will gladly share my experience with all my friends. If you truly are a family restaurant then treat your customers as such!

This is the best breakfast I’ve had in D-Town yet. I agree with MJ M. This is the best sausage gravy in the area, which is something that is never easy to find. I’ve yet to have a bad meal there, and consistency is never a problem. The french toast hits the spot and the bacon tastes fresh. For those who enjoy bacon, it’s easy to appreciate expertly cooked, thick bacon but here it is. Everyone is always friendly, the food comes out fast, and it’s easily the locals favorite joint. Give it a shot and you will NOT regret it.

Went here on Father’s Day with my wife, my Mother in Law and my Father in Law. I had never been before, but they go fairly regularly. My father in law got the banana walnut pancakes, which he had gotten the week before, and said that they were very good. I got Sausage Gravy. I have had a difficult time finding Sausage Gravy in this area, since I moved here 4 years ago, and it is generally from a can. We asked the waitress if it was from a can, or if it was homemade, and were told that they make it right there. I have to say that I believe it was definitely the best Sausage Gravy I have had in this area. Not too thick, but not too runny either. I was very pleased. Plus, the serving size was spot on with what I would want for breakfast. I did not know how big the serving would be, so I ordered a side of scrapple. I was happy with the scrapple as well. it was not too thin, which is something that I have seen at many places, and it was cooked perfectly. All in all, I will be sure to go back when we are with the in-laws, as I think I have found one of my favorite breakfast places in the Downingtown/Thorndale area!
