We were at la Botana with some friends and order all seafood, the food was delicious and the prepared drinks as well. Great place to have a good meal.

I can’t even consider this a restaurant review I have been coming here for so many years it just feels like a visiting family. There is a high level of service and friendliness that I don’t even get from my Mexican family. The menu here is extensive so you need to try a few things before you figure out what you like. The best way I can describe the food is that it’s mom’s cooking not the best but the most comforting. Of course my mom never made me margaritas but if she did I’d want them to be like this. They rival any bar I know. The prices are always reasonable and portions are generous. I keep coming back for more.

Very bland food. Tamale had very little meat, very thick tortilla. Very disappointing. Won’t be coming back.

La Botana was getting my boyfriend and I by for Mexican food because we’re new to CO. We’re used to the real deal Mexican food. Eh it’s just OK. We discovered El Fogon on 84th. It makes La Botana taste like a sit down Taco Bell. Sorry, La Botana. You were good while we used you up trying to discover new places. We’re breaking up with you. Lol

It was ok. Don’t ask for extra chips unless you want to pay for them. No food was that great but it was edible. The flan was horrible. Won’t be going back here.

I have never had such terrible service. From the moments we came we had to ask the servers to stop and help us. We asked for advice as to what’s good on the menu and the guy had no personality. When we got our food, they set it down no comment, we had to stop him to order condiments, then no one checked on our food. We then had to stop another person to get our tab and boxes. We saw her walk to the server, they talked for about five minutes glaring and gossiping before they went to get what we needed. Could have been cause we were the only white people in the place. When we got the tab we told the lady to keep the change cause we didn’t get the best service from our actually server. we then received a very rude response when she said«well was something wrong?» So we explained that it would have been nice to have someone check on us, so she continued with«we are all checking on you and we are to busy to deal with this». We decided after all the attitude we would rather not leave a tip(we are servers, this is the first time in my life to purposefully not tip) so we stop back at the lady and just asked for our change back. As she gave us change she said«thank you please DONT come again» I was irate. Wouldn’t be surprised if out food was spit in. The food is decent, sorta bland but when you’re as hungover as we were, it’s all good. I would never go back to such a rude place.

My wife and I stopped into La Botana on Monday evening. The first thing I want to say is that the place is clean. It was a slow night, and staff could have been standing around talking. Instead, they were cleaning, which is always a plus for me. The service was very good, but not intrusive. Our servers made sure that my coffee never ran out, and that we always had water. As far as the food goes, it wasnt so impressive. My wife received a bean burrito, instead of chicken, but didnt want to complain. I ordered soft rellenos, which turned out to be mostly egg, surrounding a small amount of chile and cheese. As has already been mentioned, the green chile was more like a gravy, fairly bland, with no real spice to it. For dessert, we got a sopapilla and flan. The sopapilla was very good. Served traditionally, plain, with honey. The flan had wonderful flavor, but the was a little tough. It was not a bad experience, just a little underwhelming.

Great costumer service and great prices! I always get a steak burrito or a ham & cheese torta. Everything is absolutely delicious! And the price is great! Love this place. The renovations really made this place better. Keep it up.

Food is OK, but bland. Green chile was rather tasteless and no heat. Corn tortillas are thick, heavy, and completely without taste. They get a 3 because service was excellent, food was hot and fresh, and i am hoping another visit will prove me wrong.

Food is good and drinks are good but one night we went in and they charged us double for all our alcoholic beverages when I asked about the bill the waitress was rude and said«oh do I need to explain it to you» and I said yes and when we got to the drinks she noticed she made an error she corrected our bill I have not been back they have bad service and rude waitresses.

Visited for the second time on a Sunday and boy was it packed! Looks like they recently remodeled the place from the outside but inside looked the same. For as many people were waiting they should have considered expanding the place. I don’t know if the man eating next to me was more annoyed then I was since he was eating and I was standing right behind him. There was a small waiting area in the front of the building but it was freezing in there. Food was okay and service the same. I’ll probably be back since my husband likes it but it’s not my first choice.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. Even after I bought my new house, we drive the extra 10 minutes to eat there. It has become part of our family tradition. Good food, family business, good prices!

Should be 2 ½ stars. This is the classic boring Mexican food place. soggy burritos. Not much that stands out here. Not a fan. Lot’s of good Mexican places to go to. This is not one of them.

Let me start, by saying that I am Hispanic and that I have had authentic Mexican food and La Botana Mexican restaurant Is far from it. I expected a lot more than what I got I ordered a shrimp cocktail, to make a long story short it ended up In my toilet after the first bite. Very unsatisfied, will not be returning.

Came in to get a breakfast burrito for myself and they wouldn’t take my card because it was under $ 5 lucky I had a little cash. The clerk was on the phone the whole time she was helping me. The food was gross… way way to much garlic and mostly potatoes. Won’t be going back!

After living in the area for 30 years, I tried this place and found great food and service! Honest, authentic Mexican food and friendly staff. When I had workers in to remodel my house, I would order a bag of breakfast burritos at $ 2 each every few days! That made them happy .

It was good, not great. Went here on accident. We were looking for Los Nogales, but then figured out our friend said Las Palmas, and were already by Los Nogales. Looked up their reviews and decided La Botana had better reviews. The food was good,(too much garlic) service was good. But the sauce for the dishes was a bit bland. Since this is pretty far away from us we won’t return.

it’s a tiny place on that corner that i’ve been noticing. I had decided this would be the place to try the next time i needed a good plate of huevos rancheros. Today was the day for breakfast(desayuno as the menu says) Just a tad weird to be having breakfast next to a bar with tequilas lined up on shelves but whatever. There were two wall mounted TVs blaring telemundo. The food — good coffee. My entrée was just okay because it was warm — as if it sat a while before being served. I think they had to wait on the diced potatoes to finish cooking because that was the only side that was actually good hot. I was hungry so I just ate it lukewarm — not terribly satisfying but what the heck the entry came with corn tortillas. The red sauce could have used some chile heat. Our drinks were refilled promptly and the rest of the services was good. I think i’ll come back for dinner sometime and i hope my food is served at appropriate temperature then.
