Love Love Love! Great office staff! Wish he was my go to doc for everything!

I had a breast Augmentation in June 2007… It’s 2015 and they still look wonderful. Even when freshly done they were still very natural looking. Great guy, great work, I’ll be back:)

Awesome!!! Dr. Azar did a great job. I had a tummy tuck, sculpt lipo. Breast lift. I never looked and felt sooo good. I get so many compliments, the staff is very nice. Vanessa is the best. Very welcoming. I also referred my mother in law n She got a breast reduction. She is very happy and her breast look great. I will be coming back with Dr. AZAR FOR ANY FINE TUNNINGS I NEED DONE AS I AGE.
THANK YOU DR. AZAR!!! This was a life changing experience for me. I have gained confidence and happiness.
As for the review below mine. They should have gone to a dermatologist to begin withn. Dr. AZAR IS A PROFESSIONAL PLASTIC SURGEON. I will add pictures at a later date.

I saw Dr. Kouros for a weird dark spot under my eye that I was concerned about. He is a very nice man, but… he told me without a thorough look at the unusual «spot», that he just happened to have a very intense laser on loan that week and would like to try this laser on the dark spot under my eye. I consented, trusting him. He lasered the spot.
Shortly after it was lasered, it became very, very dark and more noticeable than ever, so I went in to Dr. Kouros to have it checked. (this visit is not even noted in my legal chart that I have a copy of due to needing to see multiple doctors for the melanoma). At that appointment, he had nothing to say except to recommend other cosmetic services and photofacials.
Knowing something was not right and more concerned than ever, I went to the right doctor. They did a biopsy immediately! The dark spot under my eye… directly under my eye, that Dr. Kouros lasered… was an asymmetrical nevis… that did turn out to be a melanoma. They were surprised Dr Kouros didn’t recognize it as an asymmetrical nevis before attempting to laser it. I had to have it removed immediately! I have since had multiple Moh’s surgeries and reconstructive surgery.
To make the matter worse… I asked, very nicely, for a small amount of money back from Dr. Kouros office (under the circumstances). The office manager, refused. Then I get a rude letter from the office manager telling me they WILL send me the small amount I requested IF I sign an agreement and retract my Unilocal!The letter was so awful, it just made things worse!!! So I chose my review over $ 300 because of how poorly she handled this! It’s not even about my procedure anymore, but about how the office manager is treating me in her way of «handling this situation». I should post her awful letter! …I could’ve seen an attorney and cost them a lot more!!! But, instead just asked for a small refund of $ 300. Maybe I should see an attorney!
**I notice that Dr. Kouros has 5 stars now… that was not the case a few months ago!!! (The manager must have sent out a lot of these Unilocal retraction letters and she probably was a lot nicer to his patients seeing how being rude didn’t work!) All of a sudden there are only 5 star reviews… where did the negative Unilocal go…
There is a sign in my new doctors office… you can find it on the internet. It has pictures of each type of lesion and it reads…
«Look for danger signs in pigmented lesions of the skin» Consult your dermatologist IMMEDIATELY if any of your moles or pigmented spots exhibit… A-​Asymmetry B-​Border Irregular C-​Color varied D-​Diameter larger… they may be signs of a malignant melanoma. Now don’t you think he should have know this?
Initially, I was trying to be professionally correct in not going into detail on Unilocal,just making consumers aware that there could be a problem… and to do their due diligence by paying attention, but was told that I needed to state my experience not a generic statement, so here is that information. This review follows all of Unilocal’s guidelines.
Please, don’t trust your face (or body) to just anyone!
Below you will see that Dr. Kouros office responded to my Unilocal… you will see my responses to his after each response.
This is their response…
Them: We pride ourselves in communicating well with our patients.
Me: THEY DID NOT. They didn’t even read my chart or make entries regarding all of my visits.
Them: For each patient who is undergoing a cosmetic procedure, we make sure the patient already has a dermatologist monitoring the patient’s skin for skin cancers because that task is performed by a dermatologist, not a plastic surgeon.
Me: They asked me at my consultation appointment and I stated I HAD IN THE PAST.
(The office manager stated that I was under the care of a dermatologist… NOT ME!
I corrected her and told her I was NOT under the care of a dermatologist. SHE wants to believe this, but it is not true. I will gladly send my chart to anyone that wants this proof, as well as, my list of EOB’s straight from the insurance website for proof. I have nothing to hide.)
Them: In addition, laser treatments for rejuvenation target the water in the skin, not the melanin, and this method has been proven for several decades not to cause skin cancer.
Me: I did NOT say this caused the melanoma… I stated that the DOCTOR LASERED A MOLE that turned out to be a melanoma… instead of requesting a biopsy first! He didn’t even know that it was a mole!!!
Ridiculous!!!

I would give 10 stars if I could! My 5 year old daughter took a croquet ball to the bridge of her nose requiring 4 stitches. 5 days post trauma, she got an abscess in her forehead. She was taken to the ER around 1am. Dr Azar happened to be at the ER on another case, and the ER doctor flagged him down. It was the middle of the night. She was not the reason he was at the hospital, but he made the decision to stay. She needed immediate sedation, drainage, and packing. Dr Azar made sure I was informed of everything, and was very calm and gentle with my daughter. She was admitted to the hospital, and required 2 more sedated procedures of draining and packing over a several day period. Dr Azar came to the hospital every day, and was always gentle with my daughter. He took the time for me to ask many question’s, and made my daughter as comfortable as she could be considering the circumstances. Post discharge his office worked with me to allow for proper follow up, and my daughter was excited to see him again. He made a lasting impression on her, as well as my entire family. Words can’t say enough how grateful we are!

I’m writing to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Azar and his wonderful staff. I was truly impressed with Dr. Azar’s skills as a surgeon. He truly has a gift for helping people feel & look better about themselves. I could not be happier with the results. After consulting with several plastic surgeons throughout Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, I knew right after my consultation that Dr. Azar was the right surgeon for me. He is very informative about the procedures and answered all of my questions before I even asked them. Doctor Azar and his staff are the BEST! My experience was outstanding. I still love going into the office for follow up appointments. I am several months post-​op and couldn’t be happier. Dr. Azar is extremely professional. He took a lot of time with me during my consultation and seemed very concerned with my wants and needs. He explained everything in great detail and what he anticipated was true to the tee! His office staff is FABULOUS! Very attentive and helpful. My results are so amazing. Better than I expected! Thank you again Dr. Azar for your amazing work!

Dr. Azar is an excellent plastic surgeon. He did a brow lift, facelift, necklift and my eyes. I healed rapidly and 3 months later people tell me i look 15 years younger. I got the natural looking results I had hoped for.

We were referred to Dr. Azar by my daughter’s pediatrician. Their office highly recommended him to us. My daughter’s pediatrician’s colleague had her daughter’s mole removed and really liked the results and how he is very good and patient with children.
We had gone to our dermatologist and her pediatrician and they both agreed in suggesting to have my daughter’s mole removed and biopsied to check for cancerous cells since it was growing rapidly. And now would be a good time to have it removed while she’s still a toddler.
We went to Dr. Azar had our consultation with him and decided to have her mole removed. He gave us 2 options. One option was to have the procedure done with local anesthesia or have it done at the outpatient hospital with general anesthesia. He suggested not to go with the general anesthesia because my daughter was still little and there might be more complications and risks involved with the general anesthesia.
We went with the local anesthesia. I was in the room with my daughter during the procedure while he removed her mole. It was very hard for me to be in the same room with her, me as a mother, my heart was aching, having to see my daughter go through this process. All I could think of was «poor thing so little and she has to go through this.» Though this was our choice to have it removed as well. Dr. Azar was fantastic with her. She was screaming and kicking and trying to move her arms during the procedure. He just kept his cool, talking to her and letting her know what he was doing and was very, very, very patient with her.
After Dr. Azar finished with the procedure my daughter wanted to give him a big hug. That was amazing that she wanted to do that. The results of the biopsy came back and everything was fine, no cancerous cells yeah!
We are still under his care and we visit with Dr. Azar once a month. My daughter just loves him and his staff. His staff Vanessa, Lindsey, Crystal & Melissa are very awesome and they make you feel comfortable and they are great with children.
(I’ve had my daughter go to another doctor’s office where their staff was very crabby with children. That was their grandpa’s dermatologist; which we never went back to that office again. My daughters’ both had a horrible experience there at that dermatologist office and they didn’t want to go back, they cried mentioning his office.) It’s really nice to have the doctor and the staff treat their patients nicely like Dr. Azar’s office, not crabby like the other dermatologist’s office.
Dr. Azar does a great job and is very, very, very patient with children. My daughter loves coming to her monthly check up appointments. Knowing how my daughter feels about Dr. Azar, I as a parent feel very confident that she is well taken care of. We are glad we had her procedure done with him. I highly recommend Dr. Azar if you need a pediatric plastic surgeon.

I found Dr Azar through a friend and WOW was I impressed! His office has been nothing but amazing to me! I finally made the decision to make the jump and go forward with a breast lift and augmentation; Dr. Azars office got me in for an appointment the same week I called, and in for surgery the very next week! I was scheduled to be leaving out of town a few weeks after, so my schedule was very tight.
Dr. Azar answered all of my questions and got back to me right away when I called the office after hours with anxiety over the surgery. He put me at ease and was SO thorough and detailed with all of my questions.
In addition to making sure that everything was perfect, what impressed me the most was how detail oriented Dr. Azar was. This is the #1 quality I look for in any physician and he went above and beyond what my expectations were. From the initial appointment through even today, the entire practice does an amazing job of following up and following through! There is no leaving you in the dust once you leave the surgery center, they follow you through each step of your recovery. It is comforting knowing that they will be there for any need I may have.
I would highly recommend Dr. Azar to anyone and everyone I know! The entire staff goes above and beyond to ensure that only the best care is provided. Not to mention, I’m ecstatic with the results-​the best part!

Dr. Azar is phenomenal! They treated me like family from day one. Workers Comp was unresponsive in authorizing a much needed surgery to fix my hand wound. Dr. Azar and his staff worked diligently to attain the authorization thus making the surgery a success. This facility and its staff treated me and my case with a sense of urgency and that is extremely important to me. Thank you Dr. Azar, you’re amazing!

I have a new face and outlook on life due to the expert work of Dr Azar. Plastic surgeon. Also does reconstruction work as well.
I have sent several friends to him and all have been extremely happy.
Staff and all… first rate!

Horrible unethical Dr. He charge $ 2,500 to put 4 stiches in my forehead. I have a huge scar. I wish I never came into contact with this aweful doctor.
