Unfair pricing! I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve finally had enough. I’ve had the same dress dry cleaned 3 times before for $ 11.00. This time the lady working there rang it up at $ 18.00. I thought maybe it was an oversight and explained to the lady that the cost has always been $ 11.00. She told me no and argued the fact with me. The sign behind the counter clearly states $ 11.00 as well. I took pictures of the sign and pricing. Although this is only $ 7.00, there are probably other people that have been swindled the same way. All those over charges add up. Due to the rude behavior of the lady I will now pursue this and push this fact by reporting false pricing to the proper people.

Used to love this place until they quit cleaning and pressing my clothes well. The final straw was the damage they did to a vintage dress by breaking off the buckle. They offered no apology and didn’t offer to fix it.

I usually hand wash my sweaters before storing them away for the summer. However, this year I just had too much on my plate, and since my husband already takes his shirts to Brody’s, I figured I would send my sweaters to the dry cleaners so I could pack them away. Let me first say that I absolutely HATE wire hangers, and with good reason. They ruin clothes, especially sweaters! I figured a place like Brody’s – who charges a fortune – would know this. Wrong! I sent some very expensive sweaters to be cleaned but when my husband brought them home I was horrified to discover that my gorgeous cashmere sweaters were hung on wire hangers! Oh the humanity! Seriously, though… the sweaters now have those revolting«hanger bumps». I’ll need to hand wash them anyways now to re-shape them.
My husband offered to take them back to have them properly done.(Why, so they can finish the job and completely violate my sweaters?!?) No thanks. Instead I’ll rejoin the«green movement» and go back to avoiding the dry cleaners – I don’t care about their claims of using«ecologically friendly» chemicals. I’m not going to pay ridiculous prices for my clothes to be returned to me in poor condition. Do yourself – and your clothes – a favor and find another dry cleaner. But just be sure to ask how they will return your sweaters to you.

I was a loyal customer of Brody’s cleaners, mainly because the location is so convenient to my house, however, I will not be returning. When I picked up my coat, there was a horrid stench that smelled like burnt glue. I was in a rush, so I took it home and aired it out. Days later when the smell went away, I finally wore it only to find out that the«fur» on the sleeves had been shorn off! The coat looks like a 5 yr old went at the sleeves with scissors. There are jagged edges, and missing pieces. When I took it back, the lady insisted that the damage was due to wear and tear. Which would make perfect sense if I walked around on my forearms! She did not apologize for damaging my coat and blamed it on me. I understand that mistakes happen at the dry cleaners, but an apology would have been nice. I just wanted her to find out how she managed to burn the sleeves off my jacket and prevent it from happening again. There are so many other dry cleaners out there with much better service, so I definitely will not be back.
