For some reason the cashiers always seem a little grouchy so if you go in with no expectations there, you won’t be disappointed! For take-out, the chicken burritos(+cheese) are yummy so is the chile verde burrito but their breakfast burritos are the best. For parties, we get stuff from the meat counter to make a taco bar: chicken, al pastor and carne asada(they will season it if you ask) along with all the fixings(tortillas, cilantro, onions, avocados, etc.) and people always love it.

Reasonably priced for plenty of authentic Mexican food made to order in a little meat market. I get the combo meals instead of the tacos, because they seem to be better deals. Casual setting with limited seating. The cashiers are not very friendly.

5 stars for their $ 3 Bean & Cheese Burrito! A big burrito filled with refried beans and melty cheese, for $ 3? Are you kidding me? They aren’t kidding. Whenever I go to a different Mexican restaurant and pay $ 5+ for the same type of burrito, it bothers me because I know a place like this exists. The service is fast and quick too. Get the green sauce and be happy with your cheap/delicious meal!

He food is good no great but for he price can’t complain. The one thing I like is that they make the food fresh. The meat is not sitting under a warmer light. I do nothing more then the tacos and nachos are pretty good

I would consider Mexican restaurant as good if they have tripas and this place has just that. Best thing about it is that its crispy and it comes with chips, lots of lime and jalapeño. I am a tripas burrito junky and this is as good as the one in LA. a definite place to go when I am craving tripas burrito.

Established is my go to in Thousand Oaks for quick authentic tacos on the go. Everything is always affordable, delicious and fresh. Not to mention addictive. I always stick with the carne as ads tacos or the nachos. The nachos are covered in sauces and cheese that make them so delicious! You have to try them!

The food counter in the back is pretty solid, and good for a reliable quesadilla or taco. But my favorite thing about Establos is the groceries. They have a great selection of salsa, hot sauce, and spices, and it’s all priced crazy low. Their meat counter is fantastic, and I swear by their marinated chicken breast– it’s so flavorful and moist, and takes almost no time to cook up at home. Their house-made chicharrones are to die for, and you can get a huge bag of them if you’re so inclined(And I am, no shame). Their house salsa is good too. This is a reliable restaurant and an incredible grocery store.

My wife and I make homemade salsa regularly. This place has the best produce every time I go. It is better than your local corporate supermarket — bigger, cleaner, and top quality. Like it truly went from farm to table. They actually put the cilantro in water like youre supposed to! That type of attention to detail and keeping with tradition is what keeps me coming back regularly. The quality of their meat and poultry bbq’ing is also very high and it is fairly priced. They’re very accommodating if you need a special cut. If you’re looking for some authentic eats on the go, theres a full traditional menu as well including mexican waters.

I look forward to Establos on my weekly lunch circuit because the food is always hot, fresh and tasty. Ordering and getting your food may be a little awkward for the uninitiated. First, it’s located inside a little Mexican grocery so don’t be thrown off by that fact. The menu board is on a wall near the front registers. The area is small so just step aside until you know what you want. You can’t go wrong ordering because everything is wonderful. My favorites are the chile relleno or asada burrito, torta al pastor, and the tacos(asada, carnitas, cabeza). You an also order aguas frescas(fresh made Mexican drinks), such as horchata(cinnamon rice drink) and sometimes pina(pineapple) or jamaica(hibiscus drink). And if you want a bottle of Mexian Coke or a Jarritos Mexican soda, both made with cane sugar, grab it from the cooler before placing your food order. Once you know what you want, just order with one of the ladies at the cash registers. They are helpful if you have any questions about the food. AFter placing your order, you get a small receipt with your number and go to the very back of the market with where there is a very small kitchen/grill at the end of the meat cases.(You can pick up some excellent beef, pork and chicken much cheaper here than at the chain groceries, by the way.) They will call your number, first in Spanish then, if nobody steps forward, they will call it in English. Don’t forget to tip the cooks — they work hard and are awesome. There are tables and chairs outside the market if you want to dine al fresco. I believe that the staff can do a better job cleaning off the tables and emptying the trash barrels more frequently so I’m knocking off a star for that. Otherwise the food is awesome and the prices are terrific.

I didn’t know there was such a glorious taqueria in the Conejo Valley. Really great authentic food, large portions at unbeatable prices. I’m not going anywhere else now for Mexican food in TO!

This place is awesome! The food’s cheap and tasty, they have drinks and pan dulce, and other little things. I got the cheese quesadilla and my boyfriend got the chile relleno burrito. The only thing is that it goes right through you! That’s what you get for being a guera though. Try it out! Goodwill and coffee nearby.

Worst experience. I figured that the language barrier was gonna cause some imperfections in my order, but the fact that they’re rude doesn’t help. There was no line, yet we were rushed. and she kept telling me she«had it» while I was ordering. hopefully I can upload a picture of what I got home with. I ordered three carne asada tacos. instead I got three mounds of what I THINK is carnitas, with some scattered cheese on it. Dry. dissapointing. I don’t care how inexpensive this place is, it was STILL a waste of my hard earned money. and I’m still effing hungry. Sigh.

This place is so awesome!!! It’s so hard to find good authentic Mexican food… we struck gold here! The price is right, the food is on point! I love getting the chili reijno burrito and the Carne asada tacos. I highly recommend this spot if your loo k ing for affordable real Mexican food. The place is always busy so that’s a good sign. They have a little Market too, which I think is a little more expensive compared to the other latin markets but it’s very convenient. Love this place, one of our favorite lunch spots!!!

I had been eyeing this place for some time now and I had to take care of some errands last week near this clean establishment. So after reading the previous reviews I was confident on the bit confusing ordering process(order up front and pickup in the back) and to expect a tasty burrito. Strolled in around lunch time and was greeted by a lady in the front. Looked over the menu above the cash register, decided to roll with the BRC, onions, cilantro, and some hot sauce. Placed the order, took a gander around the market and waited for my number to be called. Upon receiving my order I was pretty excited just over the size of the perfectly wrapped morsel. Took it outside, sat at one of the convenient tables located out front and proceeded to unwrap the burrito. First thing I noticed was that it was a little floppy and lacked any grillage on the tortilla. Dug in, confirmed it was a burrito, and completed the mission. Meh, it wasn’t bad, the hot sauce was weak, but it didn’t live up to previous reviews. The burrito included some crisp chips, bland salsa, and some pickled goodies. I wasn’t put off by the Establos, but it’s a place I’m not sure I’d return too. Customer service up front and in the back was on point. I think the market is pretty neat and that would probably entice me to come back for a few specialty items. 3.0 star not sure if I’d return.

Let me just start off by saying that I consider myself an avid burrito connoisseur. I’ve been eating burritos religiously since I was a young child. I raised in Southern California, which arguably has better Mexican food than you can find in Mexico. I’ve been coming here often lately. There is a kitchen tucked behind the back of this unsuspecting supermarket which makes delicious Mexican food. Their chile verde burritos are like a taste of heaven in my mouth. I’d argue that they are more addictive than crack. The only thing that would make this place 6 stars was if they had an open salsa bar. Truly a gem for the Conejo Valley!

I’m pretty sure the heavens opened up and the angels sang when I came to the divine realization that there was an Establos like 10 minutes away from me. I’m a huge sucker for Mexican food. I used to drive to the Establos Meat Market across the Amtrak station in Camarillo for awesome(and cheap!) Mexican food. As far as I can tell, this is another branch(the menu and interior look very similar, as well as the general process of ordering). This is a small grocery/convenience store that also has a kitchen. You go up to the register and put in your order and pay. They accept card with a minimum $ 5 purchase. You’ll get a receipt that you take to the back — the kitchen gets your order automatically and will call your number when it’s ready for pickup. You can browse the aisles for delicious Mexican snacks — the store is small enough that you’ll probably hear from any spot. The menu is fairly typical of these smaller, family owned taquerias — they have tacos, burritos, sopes, nachos, plates, etc as well as menudo on the weekends only. They have a pretty good selection of meats, including some less common ones like tongue and tripe. At the one in Camarillo, you can also purchase tubs of their delicious fresh guac and salsa, and this location is no different — delicious guac perfect for mouth shoveling. It will keep for 2 – 3 days but go bad after so plan to eat it quickly. There are tables outside which are the only place to eat.

This is a small Mexican market in a small shopping center next to The Oaks Mall. The produce here is fresh, they have basic meal ingredients if you live nearby and need groceries, and have a meat counter with fresh meat as well as cooked food prepared for you. The burritos and tacos here are very popular and the small tables out front are always full of people eating. I stopped in yesterday to get a soda and some snacks and the line for the hot food was a half dozen people. The store is clean and the ladies at the counter are nice.
