This was my first time at a Golden Spoon so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. It’s not like your typical froyo you’d get from Yogurtland or Pinkberry — much sweeter and creamier, and more like soft-serve than anything. I got peanut butter with vanilla and brownie bites. The brownie bites have a more dark chocolate-y taste than typical brownies. Yum!

First time at Golden Spoon. My girlfriend and I had peanut butter and gram cracker with a side of butterfinger topping. Will defiantly come back again!

Great prices and reward points. Service is what you would expect form high school teens.

When we go to the serve yourself, we end up spending WAY too much money and I veer completely off my healthy lifestyle with concoctions of brownie bites and Reeses Pieces. But here, you get the same yummy low cal flavors but with(relatively) normal amounts of yogurt! The mini is NOTMINI! It is plenty. And it is pretty cheap. I have recently enjoyed the Toffee, Coffee, and PB as well as cupcake. I get Almonds as my topping on those delicious flavors, and my sweet tooth is all«thank you!» and my «diet is all«good job!» And my wallet is all: I’m feeling kinda heavy:) They are open til 10! Thanks for that!

Before I found out about the insanely amazing Cupcake flavor at Golden Spoon, I visited Golden Spoon only a handful of times. Back then, if someone asked me what I thought of Golden Spoon, I would just say, «eh, it’s alright». But now, with that Cupcake flavor(get it with the Strawberry) I’ll take it up to the same level with Pinkberry. And after my friend brought up her issues with self serve fro-yo establishments(and she’s got a point, which I will get into in a minute) I am liking Golden Spoon more. You see, my friend has seen some self-serve establishments(which shall remain nameless, but check my friend Julie H.‘s reviews on fro-yo places for more info) have kids run around and stick their fingers in the topping dispensers. Totally GROSS. And she’s noticed these places have tip jars for their employees who only weigh and ring up your order. That’s lame. I’m giving the chains(Pinkberry and Golden Spoon come to mind) that have their employees serve you MORE credibility with their level of service and cleanliness.(Again, kids don’t tend to touch and fondle the toppings as much as with the self-serve places). But aside from my tangent, Golden Spoon has the traditional and fun toppings like rock candy which was a fav of mine from when I was a young’un, mochi(yumm) and all that mouthwatering goodness that all of us like to top off our fro yo’s with. So, to put it quite plain and short, I’d rather go to Golden Spoon than risk having contaminated toppings from Menchies or any of those Self-Serve fro yo places. AND the fact that right now Golden Spoon is totally on it with their flavors!

Nice, friendly service and huge portions. Yogurt is sweet so I’d stick with a mini. The small ended up being too much. They have the basic flavors and many toppings. I don’t mind that it’s not self service so all the toppings are behind the counter away from customers getting it all messy.

Walked in and couldn’t believe my eyes. Where I come from up north, the public is trusted to have the intelligence and competence to make our own yogurt with whatever toppings we darn well feel like consuming, as many or as few as we wish. Then we pay by weight. It is glorious. So the guy behind the counter assembles your yogurt for you here. Maybe that’s normal in these parts. I noticed that a lot of people were getting plain yogurt without toppings, which I thought was weird, cause most people consider yogurt an excuse to eat the toppings. I asked for four different toppings plus a sauce, which is par for the course where I come from, but I got a weird look in response. The result was so cloyingly sweet, I couldn’t finish it. Guess that explains it. Me, not finish my froyo? Unheard of! My advice: stick with plain frozen yogurt if you go here, and don’t overdo it. PS Tip jar labeled«college tuition» = Cheesy/manipulative!!!

I come here about once a week. The fro yo is good but sometimes a little more watery than at most places. Most of the employees are pretty good except for this one girl that has all these piercings and tattoos. It kind of grosses me out that someone like that is serving my food. My favorite flavor is peanut butter. It is the richest flavor there and worth trying.

My staff loves this place and goes fairly often. We went yesterday and the sizes are amazing and the taste is impressive. Not alot of ambiance, but worth a visit.

I used to go to Golden Spoon all the time before all those self-serve froyo shops tempted me away with their cutesy, colorful interiors & variety of yummy toppings. However, I’ll always have a soft spot for this place because I’m addicted to the island coconut flavor. So good! If they had it all the time, I’d definitely cheat on self-serve froyo with Golden Spoon more often!
