This is the very best source for authentic and delicious dumplings and dim sum in the area(and maybe further)! The buns(Bao) are incredibly tender and as perfect as they come. The barbecued pork filling is tangy and just perfectly sweet, combining with the buns to make each bite delightful. The dumplings are delicious whether fried, steamed, or boiled, and mini buns are like soup dumplings at other dumpling parlors. The taste and quality is on par with or better than Din Tai Fun, and prices are much better! That is of course, because Han’s is completely different atmosphere. It looks like a little takeout, while Din Tai Fun is a chain that is lots of flash and style, with prices to match. I prefer Han’s by far, because the super friendly couple who own and run the restaurant are really sweet and wonderful. They care so much about their customers! They have really filling and flavorful soups, especially the beef stew soup, which has a very thick broth and big, delicious chunks of beef. For vegans, the eggplant and tofu is perfectly spicy, and many of the dumpling items are vegetarian. You are sure to be happy! Once you have the orange chicken here, you won’t go back to Panda!

Love this place. The first time I found this little shop was on my birthday a few years back when I had an intense craving for potstickers. I was not about to drive out to the valley since it was peak traffic time. Thankfully this popped up on Unilocal.Definitely delicious dumplings. Their portion sizes are amazing and the owner and wife are super nice and always willing to accommodate. Mapo tofu. Mongolian beef. Green beans with pork. All solid. This is definitely the place to go if you are feeling like Panda Express but want a better bang for your buck. Plus they actually have pretty authentic dishes! Did I mention dim sum? All the bao and dumplings are legit :) Bonus– they have delivery! Such a life saver for those lazy days.

Don’t be put off by the appearance. Ugly place which was very messy. AMAZING dumplings though, which were freshly made.

Great for all! Great family deal! Not overpriced for great food and service! Hard to find reasonably priced Chinese. Very fast delivery! Well Worth it! Very nice owner!

This place serves pretty good pan-fried dumplings. I devoured a plate of them faster than you can say«Chinese take out». The skins are thin, the filling savory, and the dipping sauce balanced. I also tried the steamed red bean buns, which were good too. Very few places serve dim sum type dishes in this area, so I look forward to trying some other items. I stayed away from the stuff on the steam table, though it looked good. The owner is friendly. The interior of the restaurant is a disaster. Strongly recommend taking out vs. dining in.

The food is really good and the portions are big enough for two people. When I go there, I order 2 or 3 entrées for my gf and I and still have leftovers for another two days.

Came in around 2:30pm on a Tuesday, after wanting to try this place for like a year(the delay was because I almost never have cash on hand, and they’re cash only). There was a group of a couple high school-ish aged kids eating, no one at the register, and food in warming trays. The takeout menu emphasizes what others have said: this is not intended to be much more than a place to get decent Chinese takeout. The thing that seemed weirdest to me(and maybe I was just unobservant from hunger) was a lack of clear labeling of things. There was a partial menu on the wall above the register/food area and a description of the combo options, plus photos of items and combos on the back wall, but nothing had labels. The glass casing for the warming trays looked like the had had sticker labels at one point but they were all but gone. When someone(I think the owner) came out to help me, I got my chow mein and orange chicken very quickly and for like $ 5, which was excellent, but I found it interesting that he assumed orange chicken was what I wanted. While accurate, part of why I went with the orange chicken was simply because I wasn’t sure what the other options were and I was too hungry to be bothered to ask. The chow mein was delicious and perfectly textured, but could have used more carrots, but that’s how I feel about pretty much any variety of Asian-inspired noodle dish. The orange chicken wasn’t the best because it had been sitting but it was still really good, and tasted like a much higher quality than Panda Express’s PLUS it was actually«spicy»(it wasn’t hardly spicy but significantly more so than Panda) and the sauce was thick and sticky, which was yummy. I’m definitely going to return at some point, probably for some dumplings or other more authentic options than orange chicken. :)

The owner is super nice but the food is Ok… I’ve had various items but I can’t say anything has been terrible but I can say there was a chicken dish that I had which was awesome… dish name? But flash fried marinated chicken with crispy basil, it was super good. Give it a spin if passing by and don’t mind the sign out front…“Donut Chinese”(it use to be a donut shop) if it ain’t broke(the sign) don’t fix it… I guess.

Found this place via Unilocal.Reminds me of the Chinese food on Kaui. Great place for takeaway food only(in my opinion). The fried dumpling are a most but you can’t go wrong with any dish on the menu.

When I went here on a Saturday early evening I got served cold leftovers. I ordered fresh wonton soup; while warm on a cold night, it was so-so. Certainly not the best of Chinese cuisine. This is a hole in the wall, not so expensive, no service, and cold, cold useless food shown in the serving area. I told my friend NEVER to bring me here again. I’d rather go for Americanized Chinese food at Panda Express. Yes, that bad… to choose a less than authentic option.

I gave this 4 stars for a couple of reasons. I do love this place. Han, the owner, is the nicest and friendlier Chinese fellas that own a restaurant. It is a hole in the ground. My experiences, they are the tastiest. This is that instance. I have never come across bad food there. I dont eat pork, so I cannot comment on it. Lo mein commonly known as «chow mein» for west coasters is very tasty and fresh. There is enough meat in the Orange chicken to justify the purchase. Mongolian, teriyaki chicken is great. The family prepares fresh very fresh fresh fresh vegetables daily. Always crunchy. Chinese pizza is very good, but oily, but good. I will go there for our biweekly family ethnic food day. Now, for the missing star. Upgrades and the overall appearance needs to be addressed. As with most hole in the ground establishment’s, the money goes into the quality of the food. Also, his sons free hand sketches are posted throughout.

I grew up in San Francisco and know good dim sum. This place has the worst dim sum I’ve ever had. The Chinese food is not too great either. I’d rather have Trader Joes frozen dim sum. The customer service was good though.

I have eaten at just about every Chinese food place in the area and I really enjoyed my kung pao/chow mein combo and pan fried dumplings from this place! The chow mein had a great texture! I hate dry chow mein! The food was made to order and it wasn’t a long wait! Also our food was hot! The man at the register who I assume was the owner was very very nice and helpful in choosing our items. The dining room is not the dining room at pf changs. I mean come on, people. It was clean enough for a hole in the wall chinese food restaurant. I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people who just simply aren’t very accepting of hole in the wall places and their colorful owners. I enjoyed my experience because the food was good and the service was kind and warm. That’s what I care about and if that’s what you’re into too, then give this place a try! Annnnd it’s always better to support local businesses! PS probably better suited for take out!

Came here for lunch a few days ago. We ordered the pan fried dumplings, beef stew noodle soup, and chicken chow mein. Everything came hot out of the kitchen and not from the hot serving dishes. The dumplings tasted great, the chicken soft noodle was nothing special, and the beef stew noodle soup was NOT what I expected. The noodles were decent but the contents of the soup were lacking. I was expecting authentic beef stew instead I got thinly sliced beef. Similar to the beef you find when eating chow mein. The owner was very pleasant but I would not be going back anytime soon. A suggestion would be to tidy up the place… It appeared really dingy to me… Not a good impression. But I have admit the dumplings were yummy.

I came here today for lunch. I wanted something a bit different today, so I queried Unilocal to find out what was nearby. I walked in to Han’s Dumpling and it looked okay on inital impression. I ended up getting fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and some kind of shrimp and vegetable dish. Everything came off the steam table, so it should be steaming hot, right? Not at Han’s. The food was just kinda warm. Wasn’t big on flavor. I would not return, and I hope I don’t get sick tonight

Sadly, I must agree with others — the dim sum tasted like it was from a frozen packet. If I wanted frozen, I would just go to the supermarket and make it myself at home. It saddens me, since I REALLYREALLY want a good dim sum place in our neck of the woods :(

This place is a filthy mess. When i went there the food in the warmer was cold and old looking. The floors are dirty the cook came out with stains on his shirt. The dumpling was odd tasting. I wont be going back to this place if you like restaurants dirty be my guest but not for me!

THEFOOD: We ordered from the Dim Sum menu. Unfortunately, all the food was obviously from a frozen packaged and steamed/fried on the spot. Nothing tasted made«in-house.» For much less, I could have bought all the frozen items in LA and warmed them up myself. THEVALUE: It was okay. About $ 25 for dimsum for two. Not outrageous or anything. THEEXPERIENCE: It was really hot in here. No AC and it was at least 85 degrees outside, warmer inside with the deep fryer going and whatnot. The tables are sticky and uncomfortable. The service was slow and mediocre. The verdict? I will probably not be back. Go to LA for real dim sum.

These are four-star pan fried dumplings. I love to get the dozen for 5.50 and nothing else for a cheap, filling lunch. They come with a great soy sauce laced with vinegar. Everything else on the menu is pretty good, and not a bad deal either. Han is an extremely nice man. After I tell him my order I’ll hear him go in the back to make the food himself, or tell an employee. The dumplings are made to order every time, but there are trays of pre-made food in the front. I also really like how the sign out front says«Donut Chinese Food.» I always laugh when I see it. Apparently, Han used to sell donuts too, but stopped a few years back.
