Hands down, best cakes and best people! Love these guys! Used Jaime for our wedding and our cake was flawless! It tasted so good! It was the only wedding cake I’ve ever actually enjoyed! I would recommend them to anyone!

If I could give more stars I would. From the moment I met with Jamie and Dean I knew I found the right people to make my dads 70^th cake. The cake was beautiful on the outside and tasted even better then it looked. Jamie is a true artist, I can’t begin to tell you how many guest were aww inspired by your creation. From the piping to the photos everything was perfect. The red velvet was so good, very moist and full of flavor… I can’t wait to order my next masterpiece from them… Thank you for making our celebration so memorable. .

Jaime is so delightful. A truly joyous spirit. Our guests were bowled over by the wedding cake Jaime made for us. Our flavors were Italian Rum with a salted caramel filling. Several guests told us it was the best cake they had ever tasted, and I would have to agree.

Purchased a custom carrot cake from Jaime Cakes for a coworker’s birthday. Jaime provided great customer service by designing a cake that included my coworker’s name and favorite color (green)! She also accommodated my schedule by allowing me to pick up the cake before the bakery opened… on my way to work. The carrot cake was an office hit, and it is very clear that Jaime is an EXTREMELY skilled pasty chef/​baker. I look forward to purchasing more cakes from Jaime Cakes in the future. :)

Not only did they do a fantastic job on my daughters’ Justin Bieber themed birthday cake (would love to post a pic, but don’t know how!) … but the cake itself was the best I’ve ever tasted! We got chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. It was spectacular! I frankly just wanted a nicely decorated cake and wasn’t putting much stock in the taste of the actual cake … and boy were we pleasantly surprised! Great job!

I ordered a cake. There was an issue with the address I provided (a.k.a JaimeCakes couldn’t deliver my purchase). The owner Dean personally reached out three days in a row (over the weekend) to ensure I was a satisfied customer. I live on the east coast and despite the time difference, Dean made every move possible to complete my order. Since the cake ultimately couldn’t be delivered, Dean gave me a voucher so my family on the west coast could come order a cake on site. He didn’t charge me for delivery, three days of running around, nor one wasted cake. I mean … does it get any better?
My family used the voucher yesterday and said it’s the best cake they’ve had in SoCal!

Let me start by saying that Jaime’s cakes are THE Best that I have tasted so far. I have been planning my daughter’s wedding and the previous bakery where I placed my order closed unexpectedly, after I have given my deposit. Jaime’s cakes was a life saver, as her cakes tastes 100 x better.
Jaime and Dean are really very nice and accomodating. Just like everything else in life, sometimes you encounter some bumps along the road. However, Jaime and Dean are very quick to do all they can to fix the situation.
I truly appreciate all that they have done so far, and I cant wait to see her finished product on the day of my daughter’s wedding.

So I usually don’t put negative reviews without actually dealing with a business first but this place has been a headache and disappointment .
So first I looked Unilocal up since I use Unilocal for everything, I recently moved out to Encino, I have two birthdays and a corporate party coming up in June and one family party in July in desperate need of great cakes and deserts. So I would have been a great customer. I look them up wait for my day off which is Saturday, decided to go get consultation between my other appointments and errands on my day off and then I showed up to the woodland hills location couldn’t find it called them 3 times, they finally answered and said oh well we used to do this out of our home (admirable) and that is actually not a store front… Then why do you have it on Unilocal like a store? Anyways … She gave me the address to the Thousand Oaks one so I decided to go there the day after since I had no time to drive all the way out there. Sunday morning I had many things I needed to take care of but I checked they were open and called no answer as usual so I drove out there for an hour and 12 minutes since the lady had told me that the woodland hills location could be a pick up location as well. After switching everything over I get there and there is a note on the door that they are closed. You know what? I’m just done… They might have the most amazing cakes in the world, if their customer service is like this, specially for a customer who is eager to spend every free time or not so free time on two birthdays and a corporate event which are 3 big cakes and then some in just one month … which makes me a great client for them, and I get this then whoever is not this eager … What do they get to do? Lmao no thank you I will take my business somewhere else… And they will take me with open arms $$

Very disappointed, I called the day before a couple of times and after not getting an answer during business hours I decided to leave a voicemail and said that I saw they are open on Sunday’s and asked them to call me back so that my fiancé and I could stop by and look at ordering a cake for our engagement party. I am an active duty service member and after stopping by this business on my way home from the base and seeing a «sorry for the inconvenience» sign on the door, I will not be doing business with Jamiecakes.

I stopped by just to see what sort of deserts were offered. I tried a key lime cheesecake and a chocolate chick cookie dough cupcake. Both were really good and the key lime cheesecake was the best I’ve ever had. I met Jamie and her husband who were as friendly as can be. I don’t live in Thousand Oaks but I will for sure be back for some sweet treats: D

I ordered a two tiered birthday cake for y moms birthday and Jamie cakes put it together for me in a matter of a couple days even during a busy wedding season. I called four other bakeries and nobody could do it in the timeframe that I had but this place came through. The cake tasted great but beyond that was truly a work of art –exactly what I had in mind. I’ll definitely order all my special cakes from this bakery.

All I can say is O-​M-​G! I ordered a cake, cake pops, cookies and cupcakes for our son’s bday party and holy moly did JamieCakes deliver! Pictures speak louder than words so those are included with this review. Everything tasted great and looked beyond amazing! I can’t say enough about this place! My guests were blown away! Everyone was afraid to touch the dessert because it all looked so beautiful! Wish i would have known about them when I got married so they could have done that cake too. Will ONLY use them in the future for all events! Big shout out to Jamie’s husband Dean who also helped so much with putting everything together! THANK YOU JAMIE AND DEAN AND THE WHOLE JAMIE CAKES TEAM! You guys are so talented!

Found a picture of a cake on pinterest and really wanted it for a baby shower I was hosting. I emailed Jaime and she said no problem. It turned out beautifully and tasted AMAZING. She was very responsive to email when I had questions and a delightful person when I met her to try a couple cake flavors. I highly recommend her shop!

We were so impressed with our cupcakes! I ordered carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for my daughter’s bunny themed birthday party and everyone LOVED them! We will definitely be ordering from them for future parties!

Jaime and Dean are seriously the most down to earth owner couple my fiancé and I have ever met. They still believe in the old school way of doing business by making you feel like family and wanting to earn your trust and business for years to come. My fiancé and I were just walking by one day and we decided check it out on a whim. We are so glad we did. We were greeted by Dean who has an infectious east coast courteous personality and even though they had an appointment already lined up, still made time for us to try some of their amazing product Jamie had already whipped up some samples for the couple before us and had some left over so we were really lucky. The chocolate ganache, cookies and crème cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes, and strawberry filling are to die for. Jaime takes such pride in her work and its easy to tell that quality is her #1 concern. We chose cupcakes and a small cake for our wedding and we are more than happy with our choice. We refer every chance we get, not because we got schmoozed, but rather because Jamie and Dean are genuinely nice people who care about their customers. This is a quality that is not easily found in most business these days.
Kudos Jaime and Dean and thank you for all the hospitality, laughs and courtesy you have extended to my family and I. Keep up the great job and well be stopping by soon for our cupcake fix :)

I am a baker, and admittedly, I am a snob about baking… when I bake, and especially when others do it. I don’t always have the time to bake, so it’s nice to know when I can find a place I can turn to when in a pinch. For the longest time, I haven’t found any place that’s close to where I live… or if I did, they’ve come and gone. Until now. I was just doing my random searches and stumbled upon JaimeCakes in Thousand Oaks.
We walked in on a Saturday, and while she had none of her spectacular cakes on display, she did have a case filled with a nice assortment of cake pops, cupcakes, brownies, coffee cake, and cheesecake. I admired all her cakes with customers’ photos displayed on Unilocal,and they are wonderful to look at. I was really hoping to see them up close and personal. In fact, one of her customers had walked in while I was deciding what to order, and she was picking up a custom cake she had ordered. I was secretly hoping we’d get to see a freshly finished product, but unfortunately, the lady was a bit early, and she had to wait a few minutes. You can be sure I tried to draw out my process, so I could catch a glimpse, but alas, it was not meant to be.
I will say, though, as spectacular as her whole cakes look in their photos, that in her display case, the coffee cake and cheesecake were all pre-​sliced, but to be honest, they were a bit sloppy to see. They kind of looked like a kid cut them. I mean no disrespect, honestly, but as a baker myself, I’ve thrown away plenty of stuff because I sometimes can’t cut straight or chunks fall off… and it looks bad… or less than perfect. As a baker, and seeing the way her cakes turn out, I KNOW she cares. Bottom line is, for a bakery, I honestly expected the pieces to be better looking than they were… it made me a bit uncomfortable, and I started to question if I even wanted to buy anything. BUT LOOK ABOVE AND SEE MY 5 stars. There’s a reason why I and everyone else has given 5 stars.
We bought a few things, a nice cross-​section of items, to see if all these 5 star ratings are for real. So the moral of this story is this… you can’t always tell a book by its cover… or the quality of food by how it looks. The blueberry pecan coffee cake was superb… moist and delicious with a nice infusion of pecans, brown sugar and blueberries. DELICIOUS. We also tried their turtle brownie. O-​M-​G. Loaded with a thick, glorious caramel topping, loads of pecans, chocolate chunks and a dense, moist chocolatey brownie. O-​M-​G AGAIN. We also tried the cheesecake… again, delicious. Very nice texture and flavor. We also tried 2 cupcakes… a lemon cupcake that was bursting with lemon flavor through and through and extremely moist, plus a German chocolate cupcake with a lovely coconut-​brown sugar-​pecan «blob» on top of chocolate frosting and a chocolate cupcake. Also moist and delicious. I have no complaints at all… so while sometimes, how something looks does matter, at this place, it didn’t. AT ALL.
My niece is getting married next year, and I’ll be throwing her a baby shower. I now know where the cake will be ordered from. I’m pretty sure I’ll be back before then, though.

I have to say I am very impressed with JaimeCakes, I ordered a golf themed vanilla cake with bavarian fillings and it came out exactly as I wanted. I also ordered some muffins and it was the best muffins I have ever had.

Jaime Cakes is absolutely fantastic! She made two cakes and mini cupcakes for my cousin’s Baby Shower. She was able to accommodate my cousins diet needs and made a gluten-​free, dairy-​free, and vegan cake. The cake for the guests was praised by all! Mommy-​to-​be loved her individual cake as well.

Vegan cake for a mainly non-​vegan crowd, no thanks right? Wrong! Not if you go to Jamie Cakes! We had an adorable elephant cake made for our friend’s baby shower and it was delicious! Honestly, it was better than non vegan cake! We got a tier of carrot cake and a tier of chocolate chip cookie dough. Both were so incredibly moist, sweet and delicious without being overly sweet, and just all around so yummy. I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie dough. It’s a chocolate cake with a thick layer of amazing cookie dough. I’ve never tried vegan cookie dough that tastes good, but this one hit it out of the park. Plus my friend who ordered the cake said the entire process was a breeze and Jamie was awesome to work with. I will definitely be ordering from here again as I’ve been dreaming about this cake since the baby shower!

I don’t have enough nice things to say about this Bakery! I found them on Unilocal and they were beyond wonderful. My friend was having a rather large baby shower with over 70 people. I needed enough to handle that many people. And everything needed to be vegan! Jaime went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. She spoke to me about design, flavors, and even functionality. The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cake pop may be one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.
The food is amazing, everything looked perfect, and the price was right! I HIGHLY recommend them! Thank you!!!
