Meh, it’s KFC. 5 stars for staff and timeliness at this location. Food was ready before I had a chance to fill my drink. Nice cashiers/kitchen staff.

For Fried Chicken, I will do things I’m not very proud of. That aside, I’m a bit of an authority in the subjects of fried, chicken, breasts, thighs, and biscuits. KFC is a mid-line fast food chain for chicken, and it has since I’ve was a kid. It outlasted Pioneer, and ranks up there with Church’s and Popeye’s. But far behind Chick-Fil-A, and specialty«bird» eateries like Honey’s Kettle Fried Chicken. This particular KFC is clean, but has a smaller menu. They got my order incorrect, and the chicken was a little undercooked. Some things are best left as a child memory, and not re-lived. $ 5 menu or not, I would rather not again.

Air Conditioning works great! 5 dollar fill up meal is just the right amount of food at a great price. Tables were instantly clean after a guest departure. friendly staff! Over all a great experience. I will be back soon!!!

The food is generally OK as expected at this chain, that’s not the concern. Visiting this location 25 years now and regarding getting multi meals, like at lunch time a customer may only use a coupon on one meal, even if it’s a totally different coupon on a different meal for like a take out for a spouse or co-worker. Now in recently years, some of their competitors have now allowed a second coupon for different item during the same visit. Why I’m posting about KFC now, they offered an online discount coupon and canceled my printing of it because I viewed it twice. Then KFC Customer Relations after three weeks now has not responded at all regarding my question to them. They have now lost us as customers of the chain for 45 years in LA and Ventura County, plus traveling.

Finally got to the correct listing. New cashier. Asked for sauce and didn’t get it. Last order with the other cashier was incorrect as well. We always ask for a to go order and go here every other week. Service was apparently too quick that the new cashier didn’t put any sauce in the bag. Thank goodness I had one still left at home from the last visit. They need to slow down and pay attention. Most of the cashiers here barely speak English. Probably part of the problem. No offense. However; when I’m paying for a meal to go. I do expect it to be what«exactly» I order.

Popcorn Nuggets – Forget about it! We got 4 boxes of opcorn Nuggets and after trying them our response was NEVERAGAIN. Most of the«pieces» were so small that all there was, was the fried coating with virtually NO chicken. A few nuggets were OK but nothing like the advertising. BLAND and not worth the price!

KFC taste the same wherever you go, but this place is horrible just for the mere fact that every time I’ve gone to this pkace I always have to wait for my Hot Wings. and the part that I really dislike is that they tell you its going to be a 10 minute wait or more after you pay. I think thats sort of information you tell your customers before they pay so they might order something else thats ready, and the people that work there could be a little more friendly. I know it probably sucks coming home smelling like fried chicken but hey… its a job, might as well smile.

Bought the Unilocal deal for my kids here and the manager acted as if he had never heard of such a thing. It makes me hesitate to buy more Unilocal deals. He finally accepted the deal coupon after a lot of wrangling. Average KFC in a town where there are very few fast places to eat not geared toward SUV barbie who has never had to earn a living.

2.5 stars. 50⁄50 on the food. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes it is just passable. Get here on a good day and you are alright. On the bad days the food fills a hole and nothing more.

I give KFC5 stars because under my expectations for what it is(modest fast food) they have never under delivered. My order has always been correct, cooked thoroughly, and quickly. If I have a question, since I don’t frequently visit and have the menu memorized, they are polite when answering. I happen to like the potato wedges and biscuits most.

We love the food, but the staff is TERRIBLE. The manager tells my wife her order will be $ 6.69 for the meal and then when he rang it up it was actually $ 11.89. She asked why the difference and he claimed that an extra small Cole slaw made up the difference($ 5. 00 +) and he expected her to pay that much… Rude, condescending and disinterested are NOT the way to make customers come back to your restaurant. We will find another KFC for future purchases and tell all our friends to do the same as he has been rude several times now, but NEVER again!

I often find that they do not have white meat for the boneless chicken. Most of the chicken is very dry. In my opinion the food is sub-par for a typical KFC. Thus week I have decided to no longer frequent this location… there are many other fast food locations with better QC.

Excellent service tonight from Jose(I believe the counter manager). He knew all the specials and patiently explained them, because there are quite a few going on right now. Everything was prepared quickly and exactly the way it’s supposed to be! Lucky for me, but unlucky for everyone else, they were low on everything but grilled… Sigh… love extra crispy but was not in the cards. Still, it’s nice to be able to count on KFC to be exactly what it’s always been, and with good, friendly service, and their new brewed iced tea, I’m liking it more and more!

This is the closest KFC to people from Newbury Park; though not far, it’s not really convenient for«fast food». The place is clean and well-kept since it is in Thousand Oaks which doesn’t have many«rundown» places. The parking lot is somewhat small especially if during lunch and dinner periods but manageable. Food is usually fresh and hot here. Its fried chicken so you can’t really mess that up especially following corporate procedures. Only on a few occasions the grilled chicken was extremely dry but that’s expected with grilled over fried. The staff is somewhat friendly, not expecting over-the-top service, but it can be poor at times. Even management seems to not have things under control when its busy. Everyone running around and the wait times during peak hours have lasted 20 – 25 min lines. This is really what knocks down the stars due to slow and inefficient service. But if you’re craving fried chicken, this is better than nothing.

A must stop on Superbowl every year for us, a classic taste that cant be replicated and brings back all those memories of getting drunk then downing a 3 piece meal. There is no drive thru here so you have to go inside and don’t forget to check in on Unilocal for your free To Go CUP when you buy a meal. The servers were a little impatient trying to second guess what we were going to order, not sure if this is a language issue but it got me a little riled when I was ordering and he was somewhat rude, but he redeemed himself with politeness when he saw I was a Unilocaler! I wonder why? All in all good but not great!
