Excellent selection with dishes from around the globe, but the food isn’t all that spectacular. Had a nice cheddar soup with cayenne sprinkled on top. The other stuff I had was your usual over-fried Americanized fare.

I love lazy dog and for the food and atmosphere I give it 5 stars but this particular one barely gets three for service. Upon walking in I was greeted with a «what’s up» nod from the host. We were seated quickly and the waiter was ok. I should say we came here for lunch today as well and the waitress was sweet but never refreshed our empty drinks. And same with tonight. My BF put his beer bottle in the glass and sat with his finished plate on the table for 23 min… Nothing. My glass as well as my daughter and friend all had empty glasses. He did come by the table once and tried to take my daughters friend plate she was still eating off of and not our empty ones. This is one I won’t be visiting again unfortunately.

I can’t give any restaurant with a dog menu and patio less than a four! Our waiter was a doll. Wish I could remember his name– I think he was Miguel.(a week ago already). Was a great early lunch. We wanted breakfast food but menu conspired against us. Kid’s meal fine. Every bite eaten. Man enjoyed his meat. We were not sure about curry with my seafood selection but were overall happy and it was a good meal and family spot for a quick outdoor bite while shopping. We’ll return. I want to try this great happy hour i read about!

Great atmosphere, pretty good food too! A popular place and there’s always a wait in the Thousand Oaks Restaurant. We frequently go there prior to a movie at Muvico. Since it’s located pretty much at the Thousand Oaks Mall, there’s always plenty to do or just walk around and work off your dinner. We are definitely a Lazy Dog Fan!

Interesting variety of intl cuisines to cater to all groups looking for pre-movie meal, conveniently located by Muvico. Beer battered fish and chips excellent and crisp. Chicken Parmesan with fettuccine noodles cheesy yummy. Wok fried chicken in Kung pao is crispy and better than many Americanized Chinese eateries. Nice selection of draught beers. Unilocalers check in to enjoy free Cajun fries per table!

Lazy dog has always been a go-to prior to a Muvico showing. Never failed to amaze with friendly staff and a variety of food to choose from! A huge fan of their chicken tossed in some pasta with Alfredo sauce! Pizza’s are delicious but one thing that throws me off… Wok-Fired dishes? Almost afraid to try. But hey, that’ll be the next visit!

The Tex Mex salad tasted really good, had a great presentation, and was priced perfectly. It was also quite large and tossed perfectly. It wasn’t served on a flat plate or regular bowl, but in an angular bowl which allowed you to see 100% of it. The chicken, beans, corn, and cheese matched with the BBQ/Ranch dressing combo. Tons of seating options at the bar and booths. Good spot to come for a quick meal, long meal, or grab a drink at the bar.

Lazy Dog is a 3 star restaurant in my mind. While the atmosphere, ambiance, and service are more like 4 – 5 stars, the food just doesn’t taste that good to me. My pasta dishes and wok-fired dishes always come way too salty for my liking. For the price, coming here just really isn’t worth it for me. They do have a decent happy hour, and a cool bar, which is a plus. I really have no complaints about their drinks. Their outdoor patio is also an awesome place to chill and hangout, and contains a fire pit. It’s also cool that you can bring your dog here. Parking at the Oaks Mall, particularly by the Muvico-Lazy Dog-Red Robin area can definitely be challenging, especially during peak hours. This is a good restaurant for big groups, but I’d advise you to make reservations, as this is a popular spot in Thousand Oaks. The hostesses are generally nice, friendly, and accommodating. All in all, I will most likely be back at some point. While definitely not on the top of my priority list, I do have some friends that absolutely love this place. To me? Mediocre food, with above average ambiance.

Still a fan, though I picked the wrong entrée for myself the last time we were here. Met our good friends, who I’ll dub the«Dynamic-Dining Duo». We’ve enjoyed many fun outings with them over the past few years. They drove out from the West Valley for something to do on a Saturday. They are big Lazy Dog fans, so suggested we meet there. Dear Hubby and I were planning to have pizza with family later, so wanted something on the lighter side. The DDD-crew had ordered a flatbread appetizer before we arrived, so we got to sample a piece each of that, which was tasty. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Hmm. Not up to par on the taste scale with other shrimp tacos at other venues. Too Much Cabbage for me; had to dig deep past all the roughage to get to the flavor of the shrimp and the sauce. The corn tortilla was bland, along with the brown rice. Zero flavor. Mixing in the salsa made for too much heat. There was little of a happy middle ground for my tastebuds. DH enjoyed his stir-friend veggie dish, and our pals were happy with their choices. I just missed the boat on my selection, which was on me. I enjoy the architecture, people watching, friendly and attentive service, and reasonable prices. This is the first time I chose an entrée that didn’t strike a positive chord.

I came here with a friend as we were heading to the outlet malls. This was not one of my selections but hey, what can you do being a friend. Lazy Dog appears to be a chain as there are numerous locations around SoCal. This one was a pretty big one from the looks of it. The interior was decorated like a cabinesque feel. Or maybe that was my impression. They have large tables, high chairs and ceilings. The food here was okay. I ordered the turkey burger and a side of vegetables as I am on the paleo diet. Yes, caveman commence. Should I have ordered the beef burger? Maybe? I found the turkey burger to be okay. The patty was a little thin and not that filling to my carnivore diet. The vegetables were sufficient to satiate my hunger. The prices are reasonable. If you are looking for comfort food, then this is your place. Our server was good. She came to our table and assistant in our dining needs. Plenty of parking!!!

The drinks and food are usually on point. I like getting the turkey burger because it’s the only place that doesn’t turn it into dried out paper mache. The chicken tortilla soup is pretty good, as well. Just don’t go on a day that looks like it may be busy. Service takes a really long time for even the most menial things and the poor waiters seem overwhelmed and stressed out.

Lazy Dog is a bit of a mixed bag for me 3.5 stars… I have been numerous times while visiting the mall or Muvico. It’s clearly eating not dining but the happy hour, lounge and outdoor patio are great spots. The feel and vibe is very much chain concept restaurant with mostly pedestrian food. It is busy and gets really crowded with families and kids along with both pre and post mall and movie peeps. The bar and happy hour a much different feel, vibe and energy. Most likely because the aforementioned trolling soccer moms, wayward divorced dad’s and millennials set up shop lol The menu is standard fare it’s like I said eating not dining but they do a good job especially with the happy hour items along with the alcohol which works perfectly for trolling soccer moms and divorced dad’s out and about in Thousand Oaks albeit at the mall… Parking is plentiful along with adjacent valet. It’s attached to the mall people so have at it. Food options are truly limited at best mall food court, Cheesecake Factory, Stacked or oh god no Red Lobster and Olive Garden about a 3 iron away lol If you go in knowing the landscape with tempered expectations enjoy thus the mixed bag rationale.

I came here today for lunch with some friends. They have a great selection of burgers, salads, pastas, sandwhiches and more. I decided to order the fish and chips, soo good! Everything I ordered was hot and fresh. The fries were very crisp as well. No complaints at all, the service was great. I would definitely come back, there are so many more things I would like to try.

Came here with two of my best friends for drinks and appetizers after work at around 11pm. They were welcoming even though it was close to their closing time. Our waitress was nice and took our order quickly. Two of us got pomegranate margaritas off of the ‘clean cocktails’ menu and my other friend got a vodka with cranberry and pineapple juice. They were delicious and well balanced drinks! I had to get two! For the whole table we ordered the garlic flatbread(free with Unilocal check in offer), calamari, Cajun fries and Brussels sprouts(with no cheese). Everything was super fresh, hot and tasty. We were so happy with our choices! Overall, it was a great night there. I come here pretty frequently since I work nearby and they have a gluten free menu with a yummy stir fry vegetable and rice dish that I love. Also, I’m a sucker for cider on tap! The dine-in service is always consistent and I’m happy to eat there any time.

Hadn’t been to the Slothful Dog in years so stopped by for my daughter’s birthday dinner. Was very pleasantly surprised! This location is at the very busy T.O. mall that doesn’t have sufficient parking. If you’re going on the weekend be sure to allow plenty of time to find a spot. The facility itself is clean and modern. We went early(5pm) to avoid the typically long lines. We were promptly seated. I was happy to discover a Unilocal check-in currently gives you a free flat bread appetizer. Go Unilocal! Our server, Andrew, was very nice, patient and helpful. We started with the nachos and flatbread. The nachos were fantastic. Very unique. Bit of blue cheese and garlic mixed in. 5 stars in my book. The flat bread was good(and is popular here) but personally I prefer it to be a bit more cooked and these were floppy(but tasty). 3 stars. For dinner I had the hot wings.(Big wings fan.) The wings here come crispy with the sauces on the side. I really enjoyed them and would order again. 5 stars. My son’s «kids pizza» was great. Good portion and quality ingredients unlike the frozen junk some places serve. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this visit. The food was above expectations and the service was great. Definitely returning soon. 5 stars!

While I did enjoy the service, the place was a mess. Granted, not too many dining options in the area, hence the super long wait. We are talking 30 – 40 minutes that turned into an hour, a real buzz kill. Tables were messy, staff overworked, very noisy inside. While the server brought out the food quickly(pizza and salads) it was all a bit hasty in presentation. Prices are also a bit high for the quality given, fine, but not worth rushing back to.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we had surprisingly delicious meal. Our table had the crusted ahi over cauliflower mash, pot roast, chicken pot pie, and lamb shank. I had some of everything and all of the meals were prepared well, tender, flavorful, and well presented. Impressed. Check in and receive a free flat bread appetizer!

Came here with the family for happy hour before catching a movie. There’s is the best happy hour in the area. Good selection from $ 4-$ 7 for food and $ 5 beers. Cost us $ 85 to include 6 food dishes, a pasta dish, and 3 beers. Not bad. Food was good and tasty. The nachos were HUGE. All the dishes are good size and not dinky like most places. Definitely a treat before the movies.

The food here is pretty terrible… Despite how delicious everything looks in photos. I love that they called it the lazy dog café, and essentially the idea of being über dog friendly is great… More places should really start jumping on the bandwagon cause for certain they get more patrons that way. When looking for a place where you can bring your dog it’s just always popping up and people are charmed by that. They have a cute little dog menu. Very basic stuff, brown rice and chicken. … the latter I used to add flavor on my Caesar salad. I know I was outside but flies galore and because I was outside, I kept getting forgotten by our waiter. I hate when that happens. 3 stars cause Waka can come here.
