Luxe Lashes

I saw Mikaela for a lash fill and purchased a series of 3. I scheduled an appointment for the second fill, which she changed 3 times and then cancelled due to her personal issues. She offered to send me a refund, which I accepted. What followed was some of the most amazing shucking and jiving I’ve ever seen.
Several times she said she would send a check. A check never came. Then she said she HAD SENT a check. Still no check came. She asked me to let her know if it didn’t arrive, knowing full well she had never even sent it. I got jacked around big-​time for several weeks and was baffled by her unwillingness to make good on her representations.
I made Lydia aware of the situation. She replied that it was an «unfortunate experience» and denied any affiliation with Mikaela even though she’s Mikaela’s mother and referred me to her. She suggested that I, quote, «turn the other cheek» and let it go, a rather odd and offensive approach to customer service, if you ask me.
When a check finally did arrive, it bounced. I was done. I told Mikaela I’d be filing a small claims action and visiting the D.A. about the bad check. At that point she scurried over and threw some cash in my mailbox.
Meanwhile, I found another more reputable lash stylist, but she said that in good conscience she couldn’t do a fill for me at that time because the quality of Mikaela’s work was so poor it had damaged my natural lashes. She had glued several natural lashes to one extension, causing the slower growers to pull out. The new stylist removed the extensions so as to spare my remaining lashes, and three weeks later after my missing lashes had grown back in I paid her to apply a full new set of extensions.
This was a ridiculously frustrating experience that was totally avoidable. Both Mikaela and Lydia lack a sense of fairness and the kind of integrity that make a business a pleasure to patronize.

Met with Mikaela to get a full set of lashes put on. I have had lashes twice before, and this was by far the best experience. She was very professional, worked quickly, and listened to exactly what I wanted. She went above and beyond, and they look absolutely incredible. So happy!

gave this place 5 stars because of how nice both lydia and mikaela were, but I think some changes were made and it took so much planning, rescheduling, and changing to get my prepaid fills from them… I gave up my last one so I lost 50 dollars. Granted I got in a minor fender bender on my way and had to cancel. But I actually counted the times they changed on me, which was 13 times, with 3 different phone number changes.

I had been wanting to get lash extensions for quite some time, but had reservations about getting them. I read up on the pros and cons, but was still unsure if it was right for me. I finally took the plunge and made an appointment with Lydia. From the moment I walked in, I felt at ease with her. She sat and talked with me for quite some time and answered all questions I had about the procedure. She never rushed the visit and explained everything she was doing throughout. The lashes looked great and made such a HUGE difference since normally I have very short, light colored lashes.
Needless to say, I’ve gotten so many compliments that I’ll be returning to Lydia on a regular basis.

I have been to four different people in Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village. I love having lash extensions so I have not given up. I have been through many painful and stressful situations going to people who hurt me or just made me look ridiculous.
FINALLY found Lydia not only was she gentle but it was so relaxing I could have fallen asleep. Best part is my lashes look AMAZING!
Do yourself and your eyes a favor and don’t waste your time going to anyone else (at least not in this town).I wish I could make a list for you of who to NOT go to but I don’t want to give names so just trust me and go to Lydia.

I love Lydia and her lashes! I first got then done for my wedding. I think they are a must for every bride! They looked amazing at my wedding and then lasted perfectly through a very active ten day honeymoon in Hawaii. They were great, because I could just throw on lipstick and didn’t have to worry about doing a full face of makeup for dinner every night. I’ve decided to keep them going, at least for a few months, because I have a couple of other events coming up, and because they just make my eyes pop! I actually drive to Thousand Oaks even though I live closer to Encino because I really like Lydia, her prices are very reasonable, and the quality is great.

I have been going to Lydia for a couple of months now and couldnt be more pleased. I have very faint, blonde lashes and she does a great job with them. Very professional and willing to work with my crazy schedule. I drive from Glendale to see her because I know she does a great job and is worth it. She comes highly recommended.

Lydia is an artist! Lashes look natural, full and a great way to shorten your getting ready time significantly. Lydia is professional, warm and she makes the time fly by as she carefully applies each lash individually. Whether you are doing it to avoid using mascara (as I did) or your natural lashes are lacking, GO TO LYDIA. She is the best!

Lydia takes her time with her craft resulting in you walking out with natural looking lashes that make your eyes pop. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to simply forgo mascara or to really do it up for a special occasion.

Wow! Long natural looking lashes and no more mascara. Lydia is very professional and excellent at her craft. Can’t go wrong with this! Fun stuff.
