Me and the guys came here as part of our Bachelor party. We were immediately greeted by Michaela, super nice and informative, told us everything we needed to know. Everyone else on staff was nice too. We had a blast and was well worth the price.

I go pretty often, they need to clean their helmets cause they smell, they need to stop slowing you down out of no where when you’re racing, the people who work at the front are pretty nice but the guys who run the races are too bossy & don’t want you to beat any records

Really expensive. Find a groupon or something! Over pretty fast but really fun, for both adults and kids. Clay at front desk was really helpful to figure out which kids should do each race because we had a bunch of different ages and skill levels. We will definitely be back, but not without a coupon! (We paid $ 160 for 3 races, 4 people, with a coupon, and we were there about 90 minutes)

I work so close to this place and have been going from past 2 years and probably have done close to 100 races till now. I was always excited to go and race due to friendly staff and tips they use to give, I kept trying different Karts to improve times. But with some policy change the staff is not friendly, they seem to be under pressure all time. A lot time when i am the only racer with my friend and still they dont give karts of choice, i understand if its crowded its hard to manage but when there is no other racers than too its a rude behavior of saying no. One time they gave a pretty bad kart and after 1 lap i stopped to tell them about issue and the answer was«You have to race with what you have»…seriously… If i am paying, i am hoping for some quality. Its been great before but deteriorating. I hope they can make this place fun as before and yea fix or replace some of very old karts

Use to love coming to this place but it seems lately they favor their friends or regulars. Letting your friends go top speed while everyone else is slowed down is not very safe and takes away the fun.

This place is overpriced. The people don’t really know what their doing all the time and the wait can be long. The video games are typically broken and eat up coins without«putting out»… They need a good café or something more creative to keep busy when you’re not racing.

I had a great follow up email conversation with manager Jordan Helus today. He reached out to me regarding my review and quickly acknowledged our dissatisfaction with our experience in our first visit to the facility. After an honest back and forth email conversation about the details, he offered us a COMP race to make up for it. I greatly appreciated how he handled the complaint and I’ll definitely be back soon to race! My kids and I look forward to it. Thanks Jordan!

Fun place but difficult to pass competitors on track! I visited MB2 using Groupon for the first time today. The track is located in the industrial section of Thousand Oaks very close to Amgen. The place was well kept with indoor race track, TVs and arcade games. They have separate racing for adults and kids and helmets are provided. It was a fun experience but the track setup makes passing competitors difficult. The attendant told us that since there was no rear view mirror, he would wave a flag to let us know someone behind was passing us. He never did any waving to the drivers in front of me and since the track was tight, I did not try to squeeze through the drivers in front of me to pass them to prevent crashing into them. There were four of us on the track and we were only able to go single profile one in front of another. The whole race took about 10 –15 minutes and it would have been more fun if we felt safe to pass one another. Fun place overall!

Overly priced IMO but fun; my little guy likes to come watch the races and my oldest is just of age /height to finally drive. We would def take her here for a special occasion and see if she likes it as she and her friends are always looking for cool things to do

This place was so much fun. Went to MB2 for an outing with our guest. Same as the previous time, we had so much fun that the laps flew. Lots of laughs and really competitive. I would do this over and over again.

This place is for kids, do not really care for it, and get really bored real fast. They control the speed for the kart and really makes you upset. It’s like come on

So funnnn you can drive super fast! Only problem is the wind if you have contacts! My contacts fell out twice but they were pretty nice about it! They even gave me a refund and let me try again one of the times! The manager there is super nice! Will definitely be back hopefully with glasses this time haha

On my second visit here I noticed the customer service was not as top notch as my first visit and I was disappointed that the café had been removed. The employees seemed as to just go through the motions of their job without extra enthusiasm and friendliness. My wife who was spectating really wanted a hot cup of coffee but made due with a bottle of water. We also noticed the facility was a little cold. perhaps an easy fix to not having a snack bar/café would be adding a variety of vending machines that serves hot coffee and snacks. There is a dipping dots ice cream vending machine, soda machine, and a few simple chocolate and snacks sold at the counter. More importantly, the go-carts were just as fun if not more fun than I remembered. I loved zipping around the track and drifting the corners at high speed. These electric carts are pretty fast and offer a lot of torque. I’m still a big fan and would recommend this experience to all my friends. I would like to organize a event here with my coworkers for some friendly competition.

MB2 is probably the most entertaining thing in Newbury Park, but then again it is the only entertaining thing in Newbury Park. Unless you enjoy watching Judge Judy, while eating left-over Side Street Café pancakes. The idea of a Go-Kart place is so awesome, but the execution is where it falls through. Pricing: The price for me is way over the top. For rich white families, yeah this is would be great. For any other demographics, such as teenagers without good paying jobs(me) it’s extremely overpriced. $ 20 a race regularly for 10 – 15 minutes. You could just use this money this getting 10 Dip N’ Dot packs from the machine in the back, and enjoy yourself more. Environment: They have a dinky arcade to the right. Then they have pool table and such, but all of it costs money. All of this would be fine, if you had to wait for like 15 minutes, but races can take like 2 hours to wait for. Chris Christy, Kevin James, or Kathy Bates could probably finish a mile in the time it takes to race when it’s busy(and they take a long time to run a mile…) They used to have an amazing Pizza Place here, but they either got kicked or left. So long Rusty’s Pizza. Actual Races: The karts actually are surprisingly fast. Regardless of the short races, I have to be honest and say it all depends on who you are racing with. The problem is there is a high chance, you will be stuck with what they call in the business: Try-Hards(When someone tries harder than necessary). Try-Hard’s can easily ruin any fun experience and they sure do at MB2. For some reason, Go-Kart Racing is the only thing that gives them any reason to live, so they come to break record scores and talk about the«gnarly» helmet that got FORGOKARTRACING. This just kills any sliver of fun you were expecting. Get Classy MB2!

Mb2 is sooooo fun! It’s definitely the best go cart place I’ve been to! I’ve been here twice and I came recently after purchasing a groupon. The groupon was $ 13 for a 14 lap race. Since it was my second time here, they already had me registered in the computer! I was surprised because it had been 3 years in between visits. My boyfriend and I came on a Friday during the day so we had racetrack to ourself. The track is huge and the 14 lap race was just the right amount of time. It’s a great activity to do with a group of people so I’ll definitely be back with some friends. If you haven’t tried Mb2, you’ve gotta get out there soon for a fun time!

Me and my girlfriend got a groupon for a 14 lap race & had so much fun at Mb2. Huge property, & cool area for kids birthday or something of that nature. Honestly, I would come back with some of my friends & enjoy racing against. Mb2 is pretty pricey so I suggest looking at groupon! I did one race for $ 13. I prob could have only done one more race but was satisfied with one race. Overall, I would obviously go back and bring friends. With they had good food or at least apps lol. Enjoyed myself when I went.

Brought my daughter here for the first time, can’t say that I’m disappointed with that decision. I gave it 4 stars because the lines took too long, I didn’t find out they needed shoes until I got here, they had me wait 5o get shoes(I think front desk guy forgot he had us waiting), and because it’s warm in here… bathrooms are cooler(that’s sad). Regardless, my girls had a blast, prices were doable for Jr racers, and can’t say I didn’t enoy myself. I will see you again MB2!

Had a great time at a work event here. The staff were all very friendly and were very helpful and flexible with our group. I really liked that they give out not only individual racing sheets similar to the ones at laser tag but trophy’s and medals for the winners of your group. The cars go up to 55 mph and the track is very fun. They have booster seats for the vertically challenged and the seats can also extend backwards. The cars may vary somewhat so we all had a favorite. Easy for even first timers. We got set up in the VIP room where they can set up to have parties for birthdays and other events. Even if you don’t want to race you can use their pool tables and Nintendo to play games. There’s also an arcade with guitar hero and racing games. I had a great time!

Fun getaway for parents and their kids. Located just off the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks, MB2 provided a great Saturday afternoon for my family. There is plenty of parking and the facility itself is large enough to host 100’s of guests. As you enter, there is a(pretty pathetic) arcade on the left. Straight ahead is the race track and on the right are some pool tables and air hockey. Food is for sale, but we didn’t buy any so I can’t comment on the quality. The prices could be a bit better, but if you don’t come often it’s worth the dollars. $ 20 gets a nonmember one 9-lap race that lasts about 5 – 10 minutes. Not the greatest bang for your buck but for something fun and unique it’s not terribly overpriced. We did 2 races and the wait was around 30 minutes for each.(IE– you don’t pay and hop into a race car. You need to wait your turn.) The staff was friendly and informative and my wife and I were comfortable with the safety measures taken around the track. Overall, a fun time for the family. Highly recommended!
