I love this place. It is a getaway from the city life. Even though I am pregnant I was able to walk to the waterfall. I just wish there were restrooms on the easy trail. It is great for young ones and older ones too.

Paradise falls is my all time favorite hiking trail. I used to be able to jog the entire way but I have accumulated a few pounds and now it’s a bit of a struggle to jog it. I now enjoy walking it and stop every 15 minutes to enjoy the scenery.(The teepee is cool and fun place to take a break and admire the scenery. It takes me about one hour to get to the waterfall and once there there are tables where I usually take Oranges and eat them there. The waterfall is kind of filthy so I have yet to convince myself to actually touch the water, let alone get in. I like to sit on the rocks and enjoy the sound of the waterfall it’s beautiful. There are many trees and plants that cover the rocks where you can sit so it’s perfect for those like me who get burned easily. Overall, great trail to bring your dogs for a jog or a nice walk with your family. Parking there is plenty, I’ve never actually encountered a no parking issue. Warning: make sure to take the same trail back because last time I went I took the wrong trail back and ended up hiking up a sand mountain in 90 degree weather. I nearly had a heat stroke. God bless those water filling stations found near the trail. Overall great 3 mile hike, it’s a must if your from the Thousand Oaks area !

great place for hiking with different trail options with very different terrain. I take my out of town house guests here and they love it. Pretty good workout too.

Thousand Oaks is such a beautiful place. Paradise falls is a nice hike and great views. The hike is very well opened and easy to follow, if you stay on the path there is no way to get lost. The water falls is very peaceful and great to enjoy but you do have to remember that it a sewer run off so its not the cleanest or nicest waterfalls out there but its still great to check out. On the way down to paradise falls there is this cool Tee Pee rest area, its man made and just makes for great photos. The Hike i would say would be very beginning/beginners. Parking at about 5am was perfect, lots of open spots and FREE but once i was done with my hike about 11am it was so packed and cars were waiting, GETTHEREEARLY(less people) This trail has no potter potties so be prepared. HAVEFUN be one with Nature :)

This is a great place to to walk and or hike to get back to nature and relax. A walk to the falls is pretty easy and takes about an hour round trip for those who want to take a moderate to easy walk. Don’t plan on swimming becuase the water is considered sewage run-off. If you are wanting to get your hike on, you may want to consider taking the trail beyond the falls to lizard rock or the mesa trail. Regardless of what you decide to do, the serine landscapes will not disappoint. Just a side note: If you can look past a water treatment plant that spoils the foliage for a short break, you wont be disappointed by the awesome beauty of the surrounding landscape. If you plan on walking most of the trails, plan on spending 3 to 4 hours.

Beautiful getaway from the city and exactly enough greenery/scenery satisfy my nature craving. My friend and I drove out to Thousand Oaks on a Saturday morning and arrived around 8:30. There was still parking at that time but plenty of neighborhood parking if the lot fills up. The hike to the waterfall was very easy with just enough incline to make you break a sweat. Make sure to stop and check out the teepee on your way there! Total, our hike was around 3 miles round trip. Cool hike, definitely worth the drive.

I cannot say enough about this hike! I enjoyed every second of it! It’s difficulty level is easy/moderate. It’s a good one for beginners. Great hike with awesome things to see. My friend and I drove the long journey to this hike. Took us about an hour and half. We arrived at the trail on 7:30 am on a Saturday. We parked in the parking lot on Avenida. It’s not hard to find. The trail head is just to the west of the parking lot. There is a map there but I didn’t find it useful. We did the Mesa Trail all the way to Lizard Rock first. Lizard Rock was awesome! I actually climbed the rock and got some awesome pics. On the way back down, we saw a trail called Stagecoach Bluff but I wasn’t sure that would take us to the falls so we ended up going back on Mesa. TIP: Stagecoach does connect to the falls and it’s a steeper way so definitely do that way! From Mesa, we turned right to get on the falls trail(we were coming from the rock and not the parking lot). We saw the teepees which was really cool! It’s a nice place to rest if you are feeling tired. Then began the decent to the falls. We didn’t take the steep way down. Instead, we made it a longer hike and walked by the creek. I loved it! It was so peaceful. Once to the falls, the view was breathtaking. There was lots of water and it was just gorge! I took a lot of pics and was also a huge daredevil and climbed up rocks and what not. So fun! On the way back, we took the stairs up and made a ride. That takes you back to the teepees after a steep trial up. We then decided to take the Moonridge trail back to the car. It was much quieter and longer. We also saw the Indian cave which was interesting! We got a little lost. Once out the trail, we ended up in a residential neighborhood. I think we missed a turn. So we had to walk some to get back to the car. Throughout the whole hike, there are plenty of signs. But towards the end I was a little confused. But we got more steps in so not complaining at all. I loved this hike! I would definitely make the drive back and do it again at some point!
