Dr. Spayde is a great doctor, but I am thinking of changing doctors because his office staff is awful and just plain rude! You can at least expect to wait an hour to get into see him on your appointment day, but my last visit I waited an hour and forty minutes ! I swear they treat you like you have nothing better to due than sit there and stare at the wall! It is almost impossible to get appointments when you need to get in and they tell you it will be 2 months out and I just had surgery and needed to see him. I had to have my attorney call to get me in. It is really unfortunate how his office is run because he is a great doctor, but his staff makes it miserable to come there!

Dr Spayde hardly needs Unilocal accolades, nevertheless I’d like to report my experience with him, his highly professional assistant, and his staff, if only to balance the record. He is simply the very best. His staff is as courteous & efficient as any I’ve ever encountered. This judgment is based on my personal experience over several years.
Any physician who is able to continue to operate an independent private practice in the face of the all out assault by Obamacare regulations can only be described as heroic. Most have surrendered or will surrender and take their place in the nameless, faceless, utterly indifferent clinic style medical apparatus which is the future of healthcare in this country. If you don’t like waiting an hour or two, see what happens in a few more years.

Dr. Spayde is very sharp and clearly knows what he is doing. A big part of your care though is those who help the doctor. His office staff is the worst. Wait time average 1 hour. Longest I waited was 1:45 minutes before I got into an exam room. His office staff cannot process request for tests, schedule appointments properly, return call etc. I write this as I sit waiting for an MRI. Once again his staff dropped the ball and did not fax the order to the imaging center. Workers comp is actually more efficient than his staff which is not saying much.

Be prepared to wait 2 months for an appointment and at least an hour once that day arrives. Doctor Spayde ordered an MRI which I had the next day. Took 2.5 weeks to get an appointment to go over results. After waiting for an hour in the waiting room I was told the doctor left for the day but I could see his physician assistant. Never felt that I was anything but a nameless, faceless source of income in this office.

I am an RN and had always heard high recommendations regarding Dr Erik Spayde for back surgery from other highly respected Doctors and Surgeons. He did micro discectomy on me 3÷28÷14 for a large 10 mm lumbar disc protrusion; only one inch incision in one hour successfully. He went to Harvard and remains thoughtful and not ego centered as some may become with his degree of state of art surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Spayde to anyone!
