We have been running our air nonstop since we bought our townhouse in December 2006(three stories, it gets hot up there), and have never had any problems until yesterday when it stopped working. The pipes were frozen and the unit obviously needed more Freon. I called Total Comfort Systems on the recommendation of my husband’s co-worker. They gave me a same day appointment, between 12 – 3, and David showed up at 1. He was very nice and polite, fixed the problem, and was done in about an hour. Reasonable price and great service… who could ask for anything more! :)

We recently had Total Comfort install an air and heating unit. They had some amazing ideas that we went with which saved on space and gave us 3 separate zones in our house to help us save on electricity. The crew that did all the work was friendly, courteous and always cleaned up after themselves. After talking to 3 companies, we couldn’t be happier with our choice in using Total Comfort!

I had them out to inspect my heater because the gas ignition was not working properly. They said there would be a $ 75 house call cost which they would apply to repairs if needed, which all of the heating companies say they charge but this was the ONLY company who actually collected the other companies in good faith came out and gave free estimates. I did not choose them even though their prices were similar to other repair companies, because they charged for the estimate, if you use this company you would be best served to have them do the repairs or you will be out $ 75 for what amounted to a $ 200 repair.

I used Unilocal to look for an A/C tech since our A/C quit pumping out cold air. I called a highly rated company to come out and take a look. They recommended a new compressor at $ 1800. I was afraid of this as this is usually what takes place with these guys. They come out for a service call and push you to spending thousands of dollars with them. Fortunately, I was put in touch with Total Comfort who came out and found the real problem with the A/C. Much less expensive than a new compressor and they did not take advantage of me in a difficult situation. It is good to know that integrity and experience still exist in this industry and you can find it at Total Comfort.

My AC wasn’t working and I knew it would be expensive to repair. I had made the mistake of calling Pacific Aire first and they came out to quote me $$$$$$$ just to repair and of course said I should replace the unit for 7k. I then called Total Comfort Systems to get a second opinion. The technician was on time, friendly, and detected the problem immediatly. The same three parts needed to be replaced like Pacific Aire had told me, but at HALFTHECOST!!! The technician went out to get the part and had everything fixed in about 2 hours. There was no smooth talking salesperson trying to get me to replace everything, and did not make me wait to have it fixed. It is nice to know that you can call a company who knows what they are doing, provides great customer service, all at a decent cost. THANKYOU!

I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor with vaulted ceillings in Westlake Village. Needless to say, this unit got quite hot during the summer months. From the very beginning of my tenancy here, the AC was just not operating well at all. We would get some cold air, but not nearly enough to cool the unit properly. I spoke to my landlord and she sent company after company to take a look at the problem. The first technician spent 5 minutes up in the attic and came back down telling me that we needed a new compressor($$!!). The second technician spent a little more than 10 minutes only to tell me that we needed a whole new AC unit, as the one that we had was not big enough. The third technician spent 10 minutes only to tell me that there was nothing we could do as there was nothing wrong. At long last, my landlord called Total Comfort and they sent me David. David arrived in a timely fashion, did not give me attitude when I asked him to cover his shoes while in my apartment and was overall, a knowledgeable and professional representative of his company. David spent 1.5 hours searching for a problem. He noted that the air filter needed to be changed and that the freon levels were low. He immediately remedied both of these issues and told me that he would call back with more information.(The only reason I did not dole out 5 stars is because I never received that phone call back. I had to call them myself a few weeks later.) A few weeks later, I called Total Comfort to check back in with them and the Pat(the lady on the phone) asked if they could come out one last time. Seeing as I had been visited by 4 technicians, resulting in zero solutions, I was initially reluctant to sit around and wait for yet another tech. I agreed to this last visit and I am thankful I did. David arrived once again, in his timely professional manner. He already had covers on his shoes as he remembered that this was a preference of mine. He spent another hour up in the attic and finally emerged with an answer! The ducts were crushed and most of the cold air I was paying for was cooling the attic, not my apartment. He told me he was going to the hardware store and that the problem would be fixed that day. Sure enough, David returned from the hardware store with the necessities and within 2 hours, he had TONS of cool air pumping into my apartment. He then offered to vacuum up the debris that he left in the vents! In short,…I am very pleased with Total Comfort. Not only did they find the solution to a seemingly obvious problem, but they attacked it professionalism, integrity and patience. The problem was not obvious at first, but they took the time to seek it out, and then solve it quickly and efficiently. All service based businesses should learn from this model! David, you are a rock star! My husband and I are now in the market to buy a house,.and Total Comfort will be the ONLY people we call to service our new home.
