Bread came wrapped in a dirty cloth. The Caesar salad had wilted black edged leaves of romaine. Go to the grocery store and get some fresh lettuce for heavens sake. The dressing was pretty good. The chicken was dry in the piccata The spaghetti carbonara was good. The service was excellent. It is difficult running a restaurant so I am giving it a pass.

We’ve been going to Vitello’s for a couple of years. We decided to have our son’s rehearsal dinner there… entertaining 40 people from out of town… Vince put together a perfect menu, the wait staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic… Even the guests from the east coast were amazed at how good the food was. Thank you Vince for making a special occasion a special memory.

Wow! What an awesome place to eat. It was a very beautiful restaurant with an upscale feel. This is the place you go, when you’re wife wants a fancy dinner! Such good food, and atmosphere. Vince, the owner, was very kind and came and checked on us! Definitely recommending this place.

Great food! Was totally authentic and tasted just like my moms recipe. We had a party of four and the service was prompt and friendly. Differently recommend this place for a date night but also to bring the family as well. Met the owner Vice and he was an awesome guy.

I have driven past this restaurant for years and we decided tonight to give them a try. I am so disappointed that I waited so long to go. It’s a small quaint place which seemed to be filled with regulars, which I know why. The service was very personable and the food was very good. We had the Mediterranean Shrimp and a chicken dish, which I cannot remember the name but was very good. I also liked their caesar salad, since it the dressing wasn’t the typical creamy caesar dressing, and it was very favorable. The prices are about what you expect to pay at an Italian restaurant, maybe a tad higher, but worth it!

January 18th2015 I held my daughter’s bridal shower at this restaurant and was extremely satisfied with the venue for many reasons. For one, the location provided privacy in a beautiful room in the back of the restaurant with room for people to walk around and socialize. The owner Vince, was very accommodating, working around our schedule and providing the extras necessary to make everyone comfortable and the tables necessary to handle gifts and handouts. The food was great and very reasonable. Vince again worked with us on the menu and provided variety and a vegetarian plate for those requesting it.

Went to Vitellos with my daughter after looking at cars at the auto mall. We just showed up with no reservation but with the great smells coming from the restaurant and being Italian with my taste buds formed by my familia, I was ready for the best and I was not disappointed. I had the veal parm and my daughter had the eggplant, we shared a chopped anti pasta salad… all was as good or better than mama made(sorry mama)…the gravy was great and the veal was fantastic… This is a great place and I highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

Very cute place. Nice ambiance! I had the pizza and I didn’t think it was very good. Tasted kind of like a frozen pizza to me. I saw some people eating pasta and it looked good, but the price for it was a little high! The spumoni cake was fairly good. The staff was excellent, very polite and helpful!

On March 19, 2015, I went to Vitello’s w/a group of ten girlfriends. I had a house salad w/chicken. Very delicious! The portion was so big, I asked them to bring ½ in a to-go box. Our table ordered everything from salad, pizza, pasta, chicken parmesan, etc. From the service, time meals arrived and tasted … not a complaint amongst us.(And, some of these girls are pretty H.M.!!) I am going back to night, will let you know …

This little place is filled with regulars… and it has a new applicant. Cute, pleasant, and delicious — it’s just south of a 5.0 star. Front room, at night, is dimly light and intimate… borderline romantic. The back, a partially enclosed patio with 10 – 12 tables, and can enjoy live music each Thursday night and is ideal for a group. The menu is wonderful. Filled with 8 – 12 items in each category, it has many commonly unfound on the west coast: Chicken Francese, Veal Saltimbocca, Carciofi, Sausage & Peppers, Braciole, and Homemade Cannolis. It reminded of me New York(and I miss it so), so this quaint little place also immediately shot straight to my heart. Service was warm and friendly, responsive and efficient by Mary. Later, the owner and head chef, Vince, came out. He’s wonderful, both hospital and charming. What I tried: 1. Margherita Pizzetti di Stefano($ 9.95) — Ultra thin crust. Nice!(4.0 stars) 2. Chicken Francese($ 20.95) — Scallopini dipped in egg batter and sautéed with fresh mushrooms in a white wine sauce. Portion large, quite wonderful!(4.5 stars) 3. Saltimbocca($ 21.95) — Sautéed veal medallions with prosciutto, fontina cheese, fresh mushrooms, and spinach in a white wine sauce. Amazing! Winner of the night.(5.0 stars) 4. Homemade Cannoli($ 5.95) — not your standard ricotta-filled, these little fingers are delightful and creamy.(4.5 stars) I will return, often. I must try: Braciole, Penne Al Forno, Ravioli Tre Formaggi, Lasagna, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Cacciatore, Chicken Piccata, Filet of Sole, Linguini with Fresh Clams, Shrimp fra Diavolo, Shrimp Parmigiana, Mediterranean Scampi, Sausage & Peppers, Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza. Oh yeah: Homemade Tiramisu, Homemade Cheesecake, Homemade Cannoli, Spumoni Cake — whew! Yes, I have lots to do.

Overall excellent. Found out thanks to On Star’s suggestion. Good service, large portions, great food and good ambiance. Had the veal masala, salad, zucchini fritters followed by a canoli. Made my birthday better :-)

This restaurant was a recommendation from friends who frequented the venue in Studio City and are friends of the family who own Vitellos. I can’t say it was great and it wasn’t awful. The restaurant is lovely and has a very nice inside/outside patio located in the rear part of the restaurant. Here’s the story; it’s a small, «quaint» atmosphere, located in a small shopping area on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in nearby Westlake Village. The service was great. Our waiter, Corie(sp) was wonderful and her support staff was also great. The food was good… but, not great. I had Chicken Marsala and it was enough to feed 4 people. We also had Spaghetti with meat sauce and a meatball and it was great. When the bread arrived it was so hot I wanted to go to the burn unit! This bread may have been hot but not worth eating. One of the owners sat down next to our table to chat with three girls whom he obviously set up. He never excused himself for me having to move aside for him and he never took into account that my husband and I were even sitting next to him! We were in a booth! He had an opportunity to greet us, say thank you for coming, etc. nothing. Also, I took a stroll to see the outside patio and he was out there. When I commented on how pretty it was he said, «yes it is.» Jerk. If this restaurant wants to remake itself they should get a better spokesperson. The one with whom we met is a looser.

Quaint little lunch spot with charm. Loved the ultra thin crust margarita pizza. Enough for two if you ordered two house salads. Really good vinaigrette on the generous house salad, garbanzos, tomatoes, cukes. Piping hot bread, crunchy crust-soft insides. Hubby’s meat ball sandwich was huge and packed with tender, well seasoned meat balls. Rave reviews on that side of the table too. Service was timely and pleasant.

A very enjoyable Italian experience, whether with your significant other or your entire family. I don’t rely on them for overly sophisticated dishes(there are better for that), but the chicken/veal parm, pasta dishes and pizza are great. Great food, decent prices and very friendly staff. Recommended.

Be sure to sit in the patio! The patio is roomy, not noisy and can seat your large groups. The shrimp parmigiana dish I ordered was AMAZING! Giant shrimp prepared like chicken parmigiana, some red sauce and spaghetti. SO Good! The only reason this place is not 5 stars is the prices were a bit high. Otherwise I would be here all the time!

I think this restaurant offers tremendous value for the money. The food is terrific and the prices are very reasonable. I love a place where the owner comes out to check on everything. Shows he has his eye on the ball. I usually get chicken parmesan over sautéed vegetables. There is so much chicken, I always have to take home some leftovers. The service has always been good every time.

I just had lunch at this adorable restaurant. The waitress was extremely attentive and helpful. The cook even came out and thanked me for coming in. I had a dinner salad which was excellent and perfectly made to my specifications, and a hot bowl of minestrone soup! The soup was superb! Their bread is always delicious and fluffy and hot! Thank you Vitello’s for being exactly what I needed! I am excited to come back again :)

We decided to partake in the Conjeo Valley Restaurant Week. So at $ 20 bucks a person we got a tasty 3 course meal. It was packed but the service was still good. The Minestrone soup for starters was delicious. I ordered the Gnocchi and it was okay, I wouldn’t order it again. My man’s dish The Veal Simtibocca was so tasty! This is what to order. The menu is huge so deciding was difficult. I would like to try their seafood portions out. Daughter got the regular plain cheese pizza and the sauce had a nice sweetness to it. For dessert-It was like a gelato cake with layers of different flavors in the middle– yes… oh yes… they had me with that fantastic thing. Than there was the dark chocolate truffle looking beast with succulent chocolate gelato just ozzing out with one bite through that chocolate shell it was divine! If anything I’d stop by just for the desserts. Oh… and homemade cannoli’s…why not? :) See my dessert pictures :)
