i am doing research on solar options for my home. Gregg from SolarCity showed up at my house and went through the details. He did an excellent job providing me with details.

Do not use this company if you are going solar!!! We just used them for our home and we were lied to by every rep we spoke to about our project. They lied about how long the process takes, and rather than the several weeks we were promised it turned out to be 6 months!
They had to submit their plans 3 times before the City of Indian Wells would accept them which is totally unacceptable, since the City has a punch list of requirements. They lied to us repeatedly about having submitted documents to the City when in fact they had not and could offer no reasonable explanations for the series of delays we experienced.
They also NEVER mentioned that once they finally finish their part, it can take 8 – 10 weeks (for Southern Ca Edison) to come out and switch you over. We were lead to believe that it could be done immediately, which it cannot.
They are horrible about getting back to you in a timely fashion, and when they do the lie.
Going solar is great on so many levels, but please give your business to a company that will be honest with you and work with you professionally, and there are other tons of options.
If you google Solar City, you will see that several watchdog groups have them on their radar.
The only good thing I have to say is that when they finally get around to installation, the crew was great.

My Family has been looking into Solar for some time now and we have looked into many Solar Company’s. I was very pleased when Torrey from Solar City came out to our house and helped out my Family. My Uncle and Godparents are very old and he took the time to enplane everything correctly and we did not fell sales pressured to go solar with Him.
