River Jewel Suites

We stayed here for a long weekend may 2016 after a 2 week trip to all the area national parks. Needed a relaxing stay after a vigorous hiking trip. After the drive down from Wuksachi lodge in Sequoia National Park, the Annex at River Jewel Suites was just what we needed. The Annex is very private, furnished like a home, and has everything you could possibly need and more. Diana’s attention to detail cannot be overstated. How lovely to have fresh fruit, coffee supples, snack bars and even refrigerator items including half and half for coffee. Love the battery lantern and flashlight for evening strolls. The outdoor area is so perfect for outdoor eating and lounging by the fountain in a hammock. This area is also very private. It is a very short walk to the river where there are numerous lovely seating areas. If you prefer to be right on the river, there are equally nice accommodations right over the river.
We even had the opportunity to have a brief visit with Diana and family. Really lovely people. We have stayed elsewhere in Three Rivers but this is well named as River Jewel – it can’t be beat!!! Thanks, Diana

This place is absolutely amazing!!! We stayed in the Kaweah Gem suite to celebrate our 18^th anniversary! Once we walk in and the back yard!!! Oh my, I was speechless and Diana showed us around the property! It can’t get anything better than this!!! The river is just right there!!! You have the full kitchen right outside and everything that you need!!! We really enjoyed waking up in the morning having coffee right by the river! At night time in front of the suite the tree lights up! It’s beautiful!!! I have not seen so many stars at night! It’s truly a hidden gem! Thank you so much, Diana! We can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in the Annex, which is not on the river. Its is a beautiful and sizable suite, nicely decorated, body spray shower, comfortable bed with sheets to die for (Diane said they were i think 1500 thread count — felt like silk). No stove or oven, but everything else you’d want, and there’s a propane bbq. This is just a fabulous place to stay, and a short drive to the entrance to Sequoia National Park. Diane is helpful and welcoming. If you eat out, try the Ol’ Buckaroo. Good food, decent wines.

From the first moment we got here to the moment we left we were blessed. When we first walked in, we remembered why we came back. The room was tastefully and beautifully decorated.
This was our second time staying here and we were even more blessed this time! My wife, being 9 months pregnant, was in great need of some R&R. She got it! The bed was so comfortable, the bedding was beautiful. The sheets were so soft and silky. (Having three kids at home, she hasn’t slept a lot in six years. She slept more than 11 hours, the first night!)
The shower is also another amenity we love! There are two shower heads and a huge picture window looking out at the river. Taking a shower while looking at the river was spectacular.
The perimeter was also stupendous. There are ample places to sit and watch /​listen to the river flow. There’s a bbq for those who want it. There are even comfortable chairs right on the water. (My wife and I went to a local sandwich shop with what we feel is the best food in town and brought it back to sit our chairs right in the water. Our lunch was peaceful and cool.)
To add to all of this was the little details. In addition to a kitchenette with some dishes, silverware, cups and wine glasses, we also found cold water bottles in the fridge and some accessories like paper plates, zip lock bags and even some fresh fruit, coffee and food bars! It may not be the Ritz, but it is even better because here you didn’t even need to ask and your needs were anticipated.
To top everything off, Larry and Diana are awesome! They are considerate and kind and make you feel like they want you here. They say hello when they see you, and if they are home when you arrive, they welcome you like you are their close friends not seen in a long time.
My review does not give The River Jewel justice because there are so many things that I could rave about.
The only negative is the fact that we had to leave. Our checkout was bitter sweet because we didn’t want to go.
The River Jewel is, by far, the most comfortable place we have ever stayed. We are sure that if you give it a try you will love it just as we do!

We spend our anniversary here every June. It is absolutely the most amazing and relaxing place to stay for a few days. We literally hang out and swim in the river all day. Oh, leaving the windows open at night is a must. Hearing the river all night is awesome. We have always stayed in the sequoia charm on the top floor. Being up high you get to see more. Stay here. You won’t regret it. Diana is awesome. The keys are in the door when we get there and she always calls the room to let us know to reach out if we need anything. We are always sad to leave but immediately look forward to next June.

this place is so great. the river is RIGHT THERE. and the suite kaweah gem was so comfy. the shower was so neat, having 2 shower heads was so nice, no one had to wait to take a shower after the refreshing swim in the river. bikes are available to ride. it was a bad idea for us, 108 was too hot for a bike ride… we rode, and thought we would die. we visited sequoia, it was beautiful and then we got to come back here at the end of the day and go for a swim, and get pizzas. we saw Diana, the owner, a couple times, she was very nice and informative, couldn’t ask for better.

This was our first real vacation outing with the kidlet (she’s 8) in the grand tradition of family road trips. We flew to Calf. and this was our first stop. Totally amazing stay in the sequoia room. The room was spacious and comfy, and owners even included a fabulous nature kit for kids, just for her — she was thrilled. We had a great balcony with a perfect view of the river outside. So gorgeous. The kidlet loved swimming there as well. Each night we were lulled into dreamland by the sound of the rushing water. Small kitchenette, microwave, coffee, minifridge included. Board games, card games, and a chance encounter with Berkeley, the great leaning dog of the sequoias = mucho awesome stay.

Just got back from 3 rivers and you couldn’t ask for a better location.
The room we had was wonderful with a double shower facing the river with a picture window. Can’t beat it. Diana is a wonderful hostess.
Iphone lovers will finally feel good since ATT is the only service you can get in 3 rivers.

Yeah!!! I am the first one to write the review and is my birthday! We stayed at the kaweah gem room. The room is huge with an awesome shower rooms! Larry and Diana are very friendly. A private pathway to the river. Very nice spot to swim or relax.
