This is the second time that we hired Jim Katen to do an inspection for us. He will find everything that is wrong with the house you intend to purchase! He will crawl into the corners of your attic and will inspect the crawlspace as well.
His report will be delivered very quickly and it’s beautifully written. You will get a great impression of the quality of your home and will support you in a decision to purchase the property or not. The report will then serve as a list of ‘things to fix’ later on.
Would definitely hire him again, if necessary!

I just bought my second home, and since this last one is a total fixer-​upper, I knew I needed to find an Inspector who was EXTREMELY good. I did, I found Jim Katen after weeks of research. I couldn’t be happier with the professional, prompt and courteous service he gave my fiancé and me.

If you need a house inspection done, Associated Master Inspectors is the company to use. We were purchasing an older home in Lake Oswego and requested a thorough inspection to be done. Our inspector spent 6 hours checking the house, photographing and documenting all problem areas and defects. The report consisted of 38 pages of Observations and Recommendations. Upon reviewing the report (arrived by email the next day), we concluded there were too many major items that needed to be fixed and did not buy the house.
