Courtyard by Marriott

The loudest Courtyard I’ve been to, and I’ve been to over 50. Thin walls. You can hear everything everywhere. And worst of all there’s a loud nagging vibration that resonates throughout the room throughout the night.

Yes this Marriott has been recently updated and is clean. So overall condition is very good and very nice pool. Down side is the parking isn’t the best especially coming in late have to park in back and walk around and they don’t have a breakfast buffet any longer like some of the older pictures suggest. But the reason I gave this Marriott a low score is that the service was not good. Not friendly and welcoming. Every interaction with the stuff fell short. I want to stay in a place where I feel welcomed and comfortable and this property did not meet basic courtesies. I was more of an interruption than a guest. And due to the poor service I will not be back or recommend it for others.

Great hotel. Room is extremely comfy, I only regret not staying here a few more days (if it was cheaper). We booked for about $ 170/​night. The staff is friendly and the room’s come with microwave, fridge, and a comfy mini couch you can relax on. Highly recommended! You will have a good night sleep.

This place is what you expect from Marriott. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Friendly workers. I love the chain. The Bistro menu needs a little more for a dinner option. Breakfast is good and so is lunch but maybe more dinner plates would be better IMO. It’s across the street from a business center and there are no dinner options without a drive. Not a far drive but you will more than likely have to get in your car to drive for dinner.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. The amenities are lovely and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. There’s a Starbucks across the parking lot and the hair dryer they provided was nicer than the one I brought with me. They’ve got a really nice fitness room and décor that makes the room feel like more than a hotel room. Having a Keurig in the room was a nice bonus. I would try to stay at this chain again.

This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. It’s very clean and welcoming. The front desk ladies are respectful and genuine. The room is clean and spacious. I really love how I can actually find outlets where I need them. The bed is so comfortable. I just love this place, the only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t free breakfast but hey, you pay you play. There is also a clean indoor pool and jacuzzi. I loved that there is a reading chair in the room. It’s definitely worth the money. And when I have money to blow I am going to spend it at a Marriot. I won’t ever go to another hotel again.

Calling all big groups, from baseball teams to dancers, the courtyard accommodates big groups with ease, making you feel right at home! Having played baseball for Seattle University and currently a Division III hitting coach, I have two concerns when traveling. One is whether or not the hotel has a complimentary breakfast. Two is are you getting what your paying for!
Breakfast is a big part of an athletes day because we spend hours upon hours on the field, starting sometimes at 6 am. This particular Courtyard has the best breakfast buffet I have ever had, even during my days as a player. They have a wide variety of options! You can enjoy anything from eggs, bacon and home-​style potatoes to something light like fruit and yogurt. In addition to many food options, they have cranberry, orange, and apple juice to wash down your food. Along with coffee and an espresso bar in the lounging area.
Now let me make it clear, the rate our college gets may be different than other groups. However I have suggested this hotel to my work and they were able to get decent rate for the group including the breakfast buffet. I believe if you are traveling alone there is a fee you must pay for the breakfast but it is well worth it!
The service is awesome! There is never an issue with accommodating our 40 man roster. For example, there was one time where they had ran out of cot to be able to accommodate the 4 or 5 players we had in each room. So what did they do? They went and bought air mattresses to make sure we were taking care of! Now that is service!
Rooms are updated and the hotel is very clean! I highly recommend the courtyard for any kind of business! You are definitely getting more than what you pay for!

The hotel was super clean and very quiet. I got up too early and they still fixed my breakfast. The room was very clean. Comfortable. Everyone I met was very nice.

Nice friendly staff. The place is spotless nice indoor pool and hot tub and the bistro is nice and comfortable. The breakfast sandwich was great.

Very clean, comfy bed, large sitting area in room. Close proximity to Bridgeport Village Shops and Theater. Less than 5 minutes driving distance. Will be back in the near future. No breakfast included, but safe to say the breakfast restaurant will be edible.

This is a little above your typical Courtyard. It is a great location for my business travel and it is right near Bridgeport and Starbucks! Score!
A typical Courtyard would get 3 stars from me however — 1. The staff is very friendly and 2. The beds seem a little more comfortable than many Courtyards. The four star rating is comparing it to other hotels of its caliber.

So my Husband and I stay in hotels all over the place. So we thought lets stay in Portland Or. For the night. I go to check in. And the lady was very nice she says do you want us to park your car. I say sure. Never thought to asked if it costed. Figured for $ 209.00 it came with it. So we give the guy our keys and go to our room. Our window faced a Huge building no view what so ever. The room is tiny. I wake up in the morning and I have our bill under our door saying we owe $ 271.00 … wtf! $ 209.00 for the room, $ 32.00 to park our car, $ 4.18 for a City Fee, and $ 26.13 for there taxes! All the girl told me was the price of the room. Most people are a little more informative about the total cost…

I had an excellent stay here. However, I deducted one star due to the two cons below, which just made me feel like I was being ripped off.
Pros:
1) Very clean
2) Friendly service
3) Good-​sized fitness facility (two treadmills, two ellipticals, one bike, and free weights)
4) Cute patio off of the pool area
5) Comfortable bed and linens
Cons:
1) No free breakfast. They have a restaurant on location and they want you to go there and pay for it. Not cool.
2) No «to go» cups for coffee are in your room. There are the mugs, and that’s it. This seems like part of a ploy for you to buy the coffee from downstairs, but it’s lame. Every hotel gives to go cups in their rooms.
Note — This whole hotel appears to be recently renovated. But it seems that they forgot to renovate the bathrooms. While the lobby to the bedroom was all nicely redone, the bathroom felt very sterile, white tile, white this, white that, with one picture of a flower hanging on the wall. This is extremely minor, and it probably wouldn’t have bothered me at all if it weren’t for the fact it stood out when compared to how nice everything else looked.
A few people have commented on the slow internet. I used the internet for browsing, facebooking, checking email, and searching for flights, and I had absolutely no issue with the internet being slow. Granted, I wasn’t skyping or downloading, but I had no issues. I was also happy to have free wireless that didn’t require a passcode or anything.

Im sticking to my guns on this 3 star, because nothing negative i experienced was really there fault.
Apparently, the Sacramento girls high school basketball team was in town. Totally filled the place up and all i heard was running up and down the halls, facebook acronyms in the lobby, and high pitched giggles and loud obnoxious screams from the 4 corners of the building.
The hotel is alright, nothing exciting, and nothing non exciting. I deducted a star because you have to pay for your breakfast, and after being in 1.6Million hotels where they comp breakfast and dinner and even sometimes a snack hour with free alcohol. Paying for breakfast just sounds outdated, or maybe im just spoiled.
I didnt notice untilbit was to late s Residence inn right down the street. Ill checl them out next time. Maybe ill have better luck.

Stayed here for trip related to sporting event with kids so crowding and kids chaos was expected. Wireless was terrible, pool smelled like you walked into a room of bleach, and no free breakfast. Aside from that rooms are nice very friendly staff, food is decent, and parking was ok.

I showed up to this place with a bunch of luggage and they packed it all in and were a great help. Very friendly. The room was clean and was in a good location right in the downtown area. Starbucks across the street. I had a great time here.

Stayed here last night and have to say this could have been a 5 star Courtyard Marriott (outside of a major city) had it not been for the one major con below. Definitely recommend staying here if having a good internet connection is not a priority for you. Here’s the rundown:
Pros:
–exceptional customer service from every person I interacted with (4 – 5 people)
–onsite gym and free (no BS) pass to Bally’s across the street
–free shuttle within five miles if you need to run to Jamba Juice, Whole Foods or somewhere else in the plaza a mile away
–clean and well-​maintained property
Cons:
–Brutally slow internet connection in the rooms — wired and wireless. Wireless was so slow,
just timed out. On a wired connection, I tried a couple times and the best I got was .23 Mb/​s up and .22 Mb/​s down. Called ibahn and they said the hotel caps all connects at 384 Kp/​s. Wish there was an option for a better connection. Ended up being a huge time waster. However, the computer in the lobby does have a good connection with 1.59 Mb/​s down and 1.19 Mb/​s up.
–Breakfast is not included even if your Platinum… if it’s not in your rate, you pay extra
–this one is minor, but odd — the magnifying mirror in my room was 3 feet away from the sink… someone wasn’t thinking…
