My uncle order Barbeque chicken topped with ham and cheese. I tried it and the taste was excellent. I ate the shepherds pie was good missing a little taste did not seam as if it was seasoned. Appetizer was Thai chicken over rice with a spicy peanut sauce. Excellent choice. Service was good and price very fair. They served ALaska Amber it was great. We both liked the place.

Not sure why we come here. Food is good but service always is so poor. They only have one server on a Sunday and she has to wait tables and play bartender. She can’t handle the place by herself. Never got a refill on our coffee, I had to go up and get a box for my leftovers from the stack myself. We sat FOREVER before we finally got our bill. Seriously lacking in any kind of customer service. It’s just a very frustrating experience. There are better places to spend my money where they actually acknowledge that you are there.

I’ve been to JB O’s a few times in the past few years but never again. My roommate and I went there to watch football on a Sunday, play some darts, and eat some food. The food has been good in the past so we were optimistic. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t begin to review the beer or spirits. Apparently the dartboards are for decorative purposes only. My friend went to the bar to get some darts for play and the two bartenders working acted like he was their long lost addict relative asking them for money. They ended up giving him the one dart(I kid you not) in the whole place which was enough to get him to stop making such difficult requests. Now I’ve been to some places that have dartboards in much seedier places than Tigard, Oregon and you know what they always have… DARTS!!! Anyway we moved on to our highly anticipated dart game which took forever and not once were we asked if we wanted food or drinks. A woman and her son were sitting near us trying to watch the Denver Broncos game and it took a couple of trips for the bartender to get it on but there was no sound. Having the same God forbid you ask someone to do something for you experience with the service personnel that we had the mother and son decided to just deal with it. My roommate offered to use the app on his phone to raise the volume for them. Instantly after raising the volume to a relatively low level a gentleman who I only assume was the manager or owner(beer in hand) gets in my friend’s face and shouts at him using profanity not to «f@*k with my TVs.» Anyway, it’s obvious no one working at this establishment cares about customer service so I won’t be spending any of my time or money there ever again and I suggest you do the same. Hell, I don’t care if you have to go to Applebee’s just avoid this place.

I recommend sticky wings, ahi salad, Kerry burger, Verde enchiladas, Servando’s burger, artichoke dip. They sound like typical items but JB’s does them above my expectations. It’s food my boyfriend and I think about and crave and HAVE to go get in order to feel better. Good drinks, you can order a lemon drop or something without fear. But getting a Jameson or Guinness is more festive and makes you blend in with the mismatched Irish bar/all sports/American diner décor. No frills, unfussy, comfortable, Cheers-style neighborhood bar with plenty of TV’s.

Their prices are a bit higher than most of the other bars in town, but i consider this to be an investment in an improved experience. For one, they almost always have something interesting on nitro. For two, the staff are friendly and funny. Finally, there’s the food. In particular, the sticky wings. Kinda spicy, kinda salty, kinda sweet… they might just be the best wings on the west side(it’s a hoisin-chile-garlic-honey sauce, if i’m not mistaken.)

My girlfriend and I relocated from Denver a little over a year ago and were pretty excited to find a pub just blocks from our house. Initially, our first few experiences were great, then we experienced Lauren. She’s absolutely horrific; from her terrible attitude to her ineptitude as a sever. She disappears for a half hour to an hour at a time, it’s infuriating. My advice, get rid of her… until then, we will not be coming back.

We don’t have any where in Tigard that’s a bar with great food, service etc… Used to go to JB’s all the time. Food was usually good, service sucks, bad and uppity attitudes. Needless to say we don’t go there anymore.

A bit overpriced for cheap bar food but nonetheless, the customer service was really good and the drinks were reasonably priced. I would not recommend getting the fried calamari; It tasted like potato chips. My friend ordered the patty melt and enjoyed it. This is a really good place to come after work and hang out. The place doesn’t seem to get too crazy and there’s outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

Decent service by what I think is the general manager by my first couple of visits. After that… Since then it has been down hill like a shit filled avalanche. Tonight was an extra saucy special by not being acknowledge in the first 20 minutes of sitting down for a drinks while I write this sucky review. Food sucks. Drinks sucks. Go somewhere else!

I came in after work to meet a friend to have a single beer. When i came in the bartender, a young woman came up to me and i handed her my id. She said quote«i cant serve you… you look fucked up.» I was shocked for a few reasons, the main one being I had not had anything to drink yet. Outside people were waisted and yet for some reason she singled me out. I think that she judged me based off my ethnicity and possibly the clothes I was wearing. I will never go back here again.

We were very disappointed in the to-go service. We asked that the food be ready at a certain time as we were taking a much craved hamburger to a friend in a physical therapy facility across the street from J.B. O’Briens. We stressed how important it was to be nice and hot for her. A very sassy woman that we spoke to on the phone, said they started the meal early, but it would be warm. It was not warm and she was quite rude about the fact it wasn’t keep warm. Can;‘t say how the cold food was. We wrote to the manager, with no response.

If you are the only one seated do you maybe think the bartender or server would greet you or take your order? Can’t rate it because we left without even a hello after being ignored for 15 minutes

We will never return. This place is busy, why? Most of the servers are talking with old man that stare at them like they’re pieces of meat. When other patrons are waiting patiently for just some damn eye contact to know their drink order will be taken sometime today. Some of the regular patrons are rude. Disrespectful cocky sons of guns they are. So word of mouth to my friends who are reading this on the book. No no no! Go somewhere where they want your money and show some respect and treat everyone who walks in the door equally.

I dont give too many 1– star reviews but on 03 – 25 at about 8pm the service was well below average. Not sure if the waitress was annoyed that I ordered my drink from the bar but if i hadnt i wouldve walked out with no drink or food. At least they got $ 5 out of me. I walked out and it wasnt even that busy. I was really hoping to like this place as a newbie to the area. I may give them another chance and update this but not for a while.

Great local bar and a must if you’re an Eagles fan. Good selection of beer on tap great food and friendly service, especially once they recognize you’ve been around before. Beer prices are a little high for the area but the food is fair and the entertainment makes it work the little bit extra.

Overpriced beers. I’m a long time off and on customer here. Sometimes they host local bands. Always busy, reliable food, good décor.

Wow! The Santa Fe chicken salad was to die for! It could easily feed 2 people but I wasn’t sharing and kept eating until I had to unbutton my jeans. I was hung over from the night before and car sick from our drive to and from Newberg so this salad with all it’s nummy toppings really hit the spot. There was so much food, I took the pieces of cheese quesadilla(served on the side instead of bread) home for lunch the next day. My friend ordered the full chicken quesadilla, but doesn’t like onions so I got to take her pico de gallo home. Yum! The service from our bartender was excellent(the place was crowded so we sat at the bar) and she earned her 20% tip. I don’t get out that way(King City) very often, but I’d recommend grown-up’s going to this Irish bar if they are hungry and looking for a huge meal that isn’t greasy like most pub fare.

Attention, if you are a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and live in the Portland area… then where are you? Why are you not here in Tigard? This bar is the home of the Portland Eagles nest and it is plastered all over the place. John, who runs the place, I guess became an Eagles fan by default. Does some good bbq with a well-used smoker out the side of the building. Tri-tip, sausages and ribs. As for the crowd? Well I was happy to be amongst my own kind. Gotta love hearing the«Dallas Sucks!» Chants. The whole place is covered with Eagles banners, signage and of course the Dallas Sucks banner. John makes a really good tri-tip sandwich nicknames: The Shady Sandwich” for Shady McCoy on the Eagles. Smoked tri-tip that he throws on the grill, sautés it with barbecue sauce, red onions and shredded cheddar cheese and it all goes onto a soft roll. At the time in the morning when football games are on, it’s mostly breakfast items and everyone who I saw eating, seemed to enjoy their meals. It is a place I will be going to quite a bit during the football season. Enjoy. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!

Wow. just wow is all I can say. Stopped in on Saturday during some shopping in the Tigard area. They had just changed shifts I think. Not many people in the bar, everyone outside, it was a nice sunny day. My bf and I went in ordered one beverage each. My bf by nature is a really loud and rowdy guy– not shy. NOT afraid to have fun. I guess the gal the was waiting on us didn’t believe in that, we were cut off after just one. I guess I would understand if I had been falling down drunk or something but really? Here’s the worst part of it, were completely ignored when that new girl came on for about 30 min, then when we asked for another around she says«I can’t serve you any more» WTF? I hurried up and paid cash, I left a tip but probably shouldn’t have– she did not deserve. What made me upset about this scenario, wasn’t really the cut off part(although that perplexes me) but the fact she just let us sit there and waste our time, I at first thought maybe she was a little busy. Nope just RUDE. You could have just said, sorry I can’t serve you any more and we would have promptly left the premises. If you don’t want someone to sing with the music, say so. don’t just cut them off. My man was NOT drunk, he always sings, most of the time people are ok with it. Won’t be back to this place.
