Portland Installation

We found Portland Installation on Unilocal when we needed a new microwave installed and our regular handyman was booked. Our crew was Jeff and Thomas and they were excellent — on-​time, efficient, friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. And they hauled away our old microwave so we didn’t have to deal with it. When we called with a small follow-​up issue (a rattling noise when it got really windy outside — apparently a common problem), they were very responsive and offered helpful suggestions. Highly recommended!

Jeff at Portland Installation delivered an on time installation that was smooth and complete. Portland Installation showed up on time with all the parts, properly unpacked and installed the dishwasher, and then went over Bosch’s recommended cycles with my wife.
Our previous appliance experiences have been so bad with (Home Depot returning 3 times for washer/​dryer, Lowes messing up our oven order so bad we gave up) that we assumed the dishwasher we ordered from Best Buy would be a similar travesty. Instead, Jeff showed up on time, with the right machine in new condition, and installed it in less than twenty minutes. He noticed my wife was home and showed her how to use it before leaving. He even left an extra install kit that we didn’t need intact so I can return it.
In the future, I’m going to call Portland Installation before I go appliance shopping, life is too short to deal with other install companies.

We purchased a new dishwasher from Best Buy when we moved into our new home. BB contracted Portland Installation to do the install. Our tech, Chris, arrived & noticed that we had purchased an ADA compliant dishwasher. While still a quality product it was significantly smaller than a standard machine. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated Chris’ feedback! I purchased the original dishwasher thinking that it had additional features and I know at some point in the future I would have become annoyed with the smaller size. After exchanging the machine to the proper size, we had Chris back out to install the correct dishwasher. Not only did Chris install the new machine quickly & competently but he shared his vast wealth of knowledge. He gave us a complete run down of the machine & it’s features. He also patiently answered our questions about every single other appliance in the kitchen. When we finally decide to replace our ovens, etc. we will definitely be calling Portland Installation. Because of Chris & his exceptional service.

I purchased an electric slide in range from a big box store and they contracted with Portland Installation to install and haul away my old gas range. I was sold the wrong electric cord but these gentlemen came prepared with the correct one. They capped off my gas, sealed up my old downdraft vent and cleaned up after themselves. As a bonus, one of the installers was even more familiar with my new range than the sales people at the store.
Fast, efficient, clean, friendly. I would definitely use this company again.

this is the best company ever… they installed our dishwasher and fixed a leak we had on our sprayer. very professional and polite… would use them again and recommend them to all!!! Jeff was our tech.

I bought a disposal on Friday and scheduled install on it for Wednesday the following week. Jim called me later in the day and said he could do it tomorrow (Saturday). They arrived on time, were friendly and professional… even gave our dogs pets and belly rubs. Got the job done right and in a timely manner. They also took our old one away so we didn’t have to deal with it. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs any sort for professional kitchen work done!

I had an excellent experience working with Portland Installation, and would recommend them without hesitation to everyone. They removed an existing Wall Oven and Built In Microwave, and installed a new Double Oven /​Microwave, and the workmanship was excellent, they were very professional, very clean, and were ontime when they told me they would be at my house. This company gets my highest recomendation, and in the future I will insist on them doing the installation on any new appliances that I purchase…

Portland Installation saved the day! When Best Buy delivered my stove I was told they could not install it (because of the type of wiring). I couldn’t get our regular electrician to the house for two weeks. I was disappointed to have to wait so long to have a working stove, but Portland Installation saved the day. When Jeff came to install my microwave range and dishwasher I asked if he could also install my stove. He was super friendly about doing the additional unscheduled work (even though it was already almost 5pm on a Friday night). Jeff and Stephen were very professional, they took the time to insure my stove, range, and dishwasher were all installed perfectly. They are a local family business, please support them.

Excellent, on time, meticulous, informative, didn’t damage our house. They were the installers for Lowes, we bought a new gas stove. They cleaned really well when they took the old stove out before sliding in the new one. Couldn’t be happier with their diligence to do a good job. And they did!

I work with Frigidaire appliances and Frigidaire had a television shoot at a home owners home who needed new appliances installed. I am in Atlanta, and needed to find someone to work with the schedule I had. I found Portland Installation, and spoke with Jim Allen. He was very pleasant, quick to respond and his team worked very quickly to get everything done. We had lots of bumps in the road along the way that were due to issues on my end, but Jim was very accommodating, and even went to an appliance store to pick up a new cooktop to replace the one that arrived via FedEx damaged. I recommend this business to anyone looking for an appliance installer in the Portland area. I just don’t know what I would have done without their help. They definitely bent over backwards to get my project done, and the home owner is very pleased.

Justice, sorry to read your review on this Company. It is sad, that unfortunately, you are at the mercy of bad employees, and the Owners are not aware. I had bad experience, and I approached the Owner of the Company. He went out of his way and sent the most experienced technician to my door. He was too friendly, courteous and I am so happy with the service rendered by Mr. Jim and thanks to his technician (Justin) who has done a wonderful job in installing my dishwasher.
I will strongly recommend this Company to anyone, they are very professional and respectful to their customers.

I don’t even know where to start… This company is a total joke. Avoid them if you can. Professionalism is not in their manual. First, they delivered my dishwasher broke… I had to reorder a new one, second they were late and the person I called was rude and unprofessional. Thirdly, they were late the second time with the new dishwasher. Called their number, but no one answered. Whoever owns this company needs to fired! I’ll not recommend this company. Stay away from them. Period!
