This is unbelievable… After making multiple attempts to take the incorrectly ordered items back to the store I was forced to PAY MY OWN MONEY for shipping to get them back to their corporate location in UT. Only to be insulted AGAIN by receiving one refund more than a MONTH later!!! W.O.W… This is just funny now…
Separately, read the review below mine and am sorry to see this ULTRA HIGH END farce affected someone else. Sleep number, you just disappoint.

Horrible customer service at this store. I would give zero stars if I could. Their new computer system went down when we were trying to place the order which I was very understanding about. After multiple attempts, we couldnt get the computer to work. So the sales associate promised me that they would call us the next day first thing. Then retracted it 5 minutes later as we were leaving, saying by the end of the business day, at the latest. SURPRISE, no call. When I called the following day to place my order on the agreed upon pricing, not only was the associate, Erik, rude and hostile but also denied my agreed upon quoted purchase price. He then had a colleague, Mike, get on the phone to also bully me and tell me they can’t honor the deal that was offered to me. How unprofessional. He was so unhelpful and also stated to me that he did not care if he got the sale or not. Was he not concerned who was in the store at the time to overhear him yelling at me? Let alone two people on the phone tag-​teaming me? I hope people left after hearing our exchange. Which lasted a little over 13 minutes. It was like he was mad at me for interrupting him with my phone call from the moment he picked up the phone.
I guess i should give a little background into this: I had worked with another store and got an initial quote. But we drove out to this store to see another bed the initial store didn’t have on the showroom floor. In the end, we made the decision to buy the I10 we had quoted initially and had them write up an order at this store right then to completely purchase the bed. We weren’t able to complete this due to new system issues/​computer meltdown, as previously stated. And they never called as promised to complete the order.
Which brings me back to dealing with Erik. Erik not only didn’t listen, he repeatedly stated he could not help me after my attempts to explain and proceeded to yell at me to call the other store and have them put the order through, «They can have the sale, I don’t care because I can’t help you!» Which had already crossed my mind to do since I wasn’t getting anywhere here. The issue was, he wasn’t listening to what I had to say. I understood what he was saying but my quotes tell a different story and should be honored. If I didn’t have the quotes, it would be a different story. At the end, I told him I will be talking to his manager and supervisor about this treatment, he then yelled, «Her name is Cassie and she will be more than happy to help you!» Wow. Again, horrible customer service. Second, does this company know or even care that this is how he treats their customers?! Seems like a trend for Erik. Perhaps he hates his job. Who knows. It seems like this is not the first time Erik had issues with customers and I wonder if Cassie, the manager, will actually do anything about this. I figured he is still employed despite previous issues so I would much rather talk to someone perhaps impartial to the store and the associates and place a complaint higher up. I will continue to complain until heard. No one should be treated this way.
I actually felt very upset by this and was more than just seriously thinking of not ordering a bed at all. Taking my business elsewhere completely. I called customer service to file a complaint. Against my feelings after the exchange, I ended up placing my order. I would not have placed my order if it weren’t for the customer service person I spoke with about my quote situation and the ordeal I had just gone through. She was not only in disbelief of my treatment by Erik and Mike but also the fact that two people were on the phone at the same time, bullying me. I figured I would see if they would honor my pricing quote. She was not only able to get me the order as quoted, but also a great deal. So I ended up ordering. We will see how this goes. I hope I don’t regret it.
One thing to note, I will not tolerate being treated in such a rude and hostile manner. I am sure I wasn’t nice at the end of my conversation with Erik. One difference though, I started off nice and friendly, he did not. And my tone changed after his actions. I am only human. If that is how Sleep number allows their sales associates to treat potential customers, then they must not really want to sell. They almost lost a sale just because of Erik and Mike. I wonder how many other sales were lost due to their attitude and this behavior? Forget training them, fire them. Their attitude cannot be changed. You might make more sales without them.
