Summerlake Dog Park

It’s a nice spot. You drive through a suburban neighborhood to it, there’s a parking lot with plenty of marked spaces. It’s not huge, but it’s not tiny either. We took our 11 month old puppy there during the day on a Monday. We didn’t notice any poop laying around. There were some toys like balls & ropes, but of course I’d advise you to bring your own. Water dishes, poop bags & trash cans. There’s a covered area with picnic tables and some random lawn chairs here & there. Yes, there are patches of dirt, grass & even some muddy parts. But, we enjoy coming here to tire out our doggy & socialize her.

One of the better parks in the neighborhood. Not super large, but definitely 2−3x larger than others in the surrounding 10 mile radius. Also, has a fresh water hose! Overall, much better than the ones I’ve seen nearby. 5-​stars in comparison to the others in the area.

Definitely one of the better parks in the Tigard — Tualatin area there’s a pretty good section of grass for them to play on the rest is sand and looks like it could get messy when it rains, well fenced in area and wash off «station» two picnic tables under a canopy and a few benches here and there. There are also a few on leash trails around the park for the pups to enjoy.

I’ve taken Suds here a few times because its only 5 minutes from my house and it has a nice shady picnic table area to sit and watch your pooch run his or her little heart out. My only complaints are the dirt (which can get in your shoes if you wear sandals) and kicks up quite a bit when the pups are running around. The area is nice and wide to play but the grassy area is on a bit of a slope which makes it hard to see your dog from the seating area. Also the last few times I have been there people have left old dog poo, which is not a knock on the park perse, just an observation. There are free doody bags and trash so must just be lazy pet parents. Free water bowls for your dog too. The fence latch was a little busted too, so if you have a bolter keep an eye out for that. Not my favorite park so far, but it is nice in a pinch.

I love this park! A beautiful oasis in the city. Great place for a picnic, soccer, run or to bring the kids. They have a dog park and lots of playgrounds. In the spring you’ll find many families of geese with the cutest goslings!

I see a lot of hate reviews from the past few years. Complaints about poop everywhere, careless owners, no grass all dirt, no small dog section. I’m sure that might have used to have been the case three years ago, but this park is pretty sweet now! Yes, when you walk in there is dirt on the front half of park, but the second half is a lush grass field. There is a mini dog section fenced around this great shade tree in the middle, the people were very nice or normal, not careless or uptight… And there was no more poop laying around than any other dog park where an owners missed it. I walked around entire park and maybe found 2 or 3 non tended to poops. I walk around the much praised park in Lake Oswego and found more than that!
I had to give 5 stars because the parking is ample, the crowd is minimal, my dog was happy, and everything I saw giving this park a bad wrap was non existent.

its a fenced in area where dogs can hang out, no frills. There are covered benches and water onsite and the other dog owners are usually friendly. Beyond that, its a dirt pit and I have a white dog that comes home filthy from here. There isn’t any grass because that area is fenced off. All the dogs are in the same area so smaller or timid dogs can get scared because they don’t have their own area at this park.
If you have at least a medium sized dog and it’s a sunny day, when it hasn’t rained recently, and you have time to wash your dog afterwards… its a good park

Nice park in the Tigard area. Plenty of parking in lot and on streets in the surrounding neighborhood.
What the park has:
* play structures for the kiddos
* open areas for sports playing
* large covered picnic areas
* bathrooms
* nice walking paths
* a «lake»
* plenty of scenery and forested area
I have been here a couple times now and although it’s not super close to where I live its a fun stop to take your dog to or have a picnic.

This is an awful excuse for a «dog park.»
It’s a giant dirt pit with dog poop everywhere. Owners are careless.
Owners bring aggressive large dogs that then cause fights.
Rumor has it that this place will be shut down. Good riddance.

My dog and I go here often. The park is on the smallish side and there isn’t a separate area for little dogs. While I do wish it was a little bigger, it’s a nice park. It has a double gated entry, which I think any good dog park should have. Most of the dog owners are really good at picking up after their dogs. All of the «regulars» are super nice and fun to hang out with.

This place is just one area for all dogs.
I have two large dogs and I can see how intimidating it can be for smaller dogs.
Also, the place is mostly dirt; hardly any grass. If your dogs are as active as mine (thus get SUPER dirty when they play in dirt-​only dog parks), I don’t really recommend this park. The aftercare each time from washing your dogs to vacuuming the car is waaaay too time consuming.

One big area for ALL dogs where people don’t pick up after their dogs.
We do not go here anymore because of dog poop everywhere, and because it is mostly all big dogs or at least overwhelming to a puppy.
I recently heard it might get shut down because of the sanitary issues which means it is pretty bad not just annoying. If I stop back over I will take photos and upload them, but not likely anytime soon.
