Real Nice walk to a pretty falls. Good for a short family walk. If you are a serious hiker you might be a bit disappointed.

This place is hidden! Seriously. The Hubs thought I was plotting to abandon him in the wild based on my directions. It’s not far from the main road but you do go down some winding, one-lane roads. I have no idea what we would have done if someone was coming from the other way because there were parts where there was no shoulder on the road to pull over to. There is a small parking area once you get there. Please be advised the actual trail to the falls is permanently CLOSED! This was not a temporary sign but a very sturdy wooden post/fence they put up — though you can easily walk around it. There are 2 very large trees down blocking the path not far from the«trail closed» sign — big enough that while I was willing to attempt climbing over them my husband threatened to leave me there because he wasn’t about to deal with a wife with a broken ankle on vacation. But don’t fret — you can still see the falls quite well from there and it was worth the little drive to see it so you can say you visited the highest waterfall along the coast of Oregon! There’s not much else to do right at that spot but there are a number of other things in the area such as the Tillamook Naval Air Museum, Cape Lookout State Park(several nice trails) & Cape Meares lighthouse — so if you are planning a day trip to the area you have plenty to keep you busy.

After visiting other state parks and seeing lots of oregon waterfalls our party of three were somewhat disappointed when we arrived at Munson Creek Falls. The road is very narrow and harrowing and in terrible shape with lots of pot holes. When we arrived and hiked up the trail we found the main trail was closed. There were lots of fallen trees blocking the path so although one could view the falls you couldn’t get very close. There aren’t any facilities here either so if you visit make sure to use facilities before driving down the narrow path to the falls. Perhaps they will clean it up for the summer and fix the road. One can only hope. Maryjane

On a mission to see waterfalls in the area. Traveled south of Tillimook discovered Munson Creek Falls sign. Followed signs(easy to see) to the state park at the end of the road. Small parking area but not overly populated. The falls are visible approx. ¼ mile from trail head. Apparently, the winter has been bad, resulting in blow downs making it impossible to get a closer look at the base of the falls. It’s still remarkable. *Warning* There is a short section of the trail that has a huge graded hill. Good thing for the hand rails, because without them it would be impossible to get up.

Saw the signs while traveling from Alsea Falls toward the coast. The sign pointing toward the falls is quite small and can be missed — I did! On a small country road, you go toward the road’s end then follow the signs. Quite natural environment with NO toilets but a small parking area. Quite shaded and cool so be ready for cold if the weather is already cool. You have to walk up a trail beside the creek running from the base of the falls. once you get to the«top» of the trail, you can see the falls… quite impressive fall and height. Quite enjoyable. PHOTOGRAPHICALLYSPEAKING: Recommend strongly a tripod. Low light in immediate area of the fall but height is such that you can get a decent pix of the falls itself. Try sticking around and snap the creek and many little sights/details along the path if you look. :-)
