If you are looking for great food in a comfortable, welcoming setting, don’t miss this gem. Tucked away in the village of Tillson, you will find fine dining and a great staff. The steak is superb and the butternut squash soup sublime! And save room for dessert and coffee. You will never be disappointed here.

Really nice place. I felt welcomed the moment I walked through the door. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. I had an appetizer which was the BBQ chicken tenders, which were amazing! Very tasty!

Had a group of 15 to celebrate a birthday, made a reservation in advance and the table was ready when we got there. They even allowed us to bring our own cake and served it free of charge. I didn’t give 5 stars because the menu was very short and also not kid friendly. Unless you like fish or duck there really are no choices but the atmosphere is very laid back and we had a good evening.

No questions asked, best burger I have ever had. Great place to sit down at the bar and have a beer and a burger…

Good food. A bit pricey since the new menu change. And I’m not a big fan of their fish fry – seemed over breaded and rather flavorless to me.

Service was AWFUL as soon as we walked in the door. We were ignored until we asked the bartender if they could set a table for 8. He said, «No we are completely packed right now. There are no open tables.» Although clearly looking into the dining room there were open tables. We asked how long the wait would be and he said, «20 minutes.» There was an awful smell of fish and chips and a dirty rug. So we went back on Unilocal and traveled 5 minutes down the road to the Bywater Bistro in Rosendale where we had wonderful service and delicious food with a total bill of $ 127. So this business can credit their bartender with a $ 127 loss.

Don’t do it. Service was awful and switched servers halfway through meal with no courtesy mention.(btw, 7 tables with 3 servers + busser) Apps were obviously all frozen, pre-made and not very good. The steaks were grisley pieces of nasty, the flounder was loaded with bones and smelled awful, the veal was rubber, and the water tastes like sulfer. Wouldn’t have been my choice of places to go, but… family dinner is family dinner.

Nothing special at the Postage Inn. You can do better at the Bywater Bistro or even the Red Brick in Rosendale.

I love the Postage Inn. I’ve spent a lot of time in the past staying with friends in the Hudson Valley and it was always a special treat to have dinner at the Postage Inn. This is a small cozy restaurant that has absolutely delicious food. I love their baked stuffed clams for an appetizer. I crave them! The escargot appetizer is also top notch. My favorites for dinner are the seafood marinara and the seafood platter. Both offer very plentiful portions and taste so good. All of the other menu items I have tried have been exceptional as well. Be sure to stop into this wonderful place for an amazing meal.
