J.Crew Factory Tanger Outlets: Tilton

I was ripped off by the employees of this store. I signed up for their promotional credit card deal to get 10% off my purchase, but told them I would pay off the credit purchase immediately there at the store. They said «no problem». But, what they did was pocket my cash and still charge my card. I, of course did not know this, and a month later I got my bill. Customer service would do nothing as five weeks had passed since the purchase. Very elaborate plan to steal from their customers. I asked for them to view their security cameras and they would see me handing cash to the cashier. They said they would not do that as to much time had past.
Be very aware to not fall for the same scam I did.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! I have visited many J Crew locations around the US and this particular store STOLE my $ 64.56. What happened was while at this location I decided to open a J Crew Credit Card to save an additional 25% on my entire purchase. My intentions were to cancel the card and never use it.. I signed up for the credit card and was instantly approved. To avoid receiving a bill and again with the intent of cancelling the card, I payed cash. Little to my knowledge, I singed what I was told was an approval for the credit card and unknowingly was actually a credit card purchase receipt.
I later revived a bill in the mail for the amount of $ 64.56. Furious I contacted J Crews customer service department to dispute the charges and after many attempts to plea my case I now have to pay this charge that I already payed cash for. After contacting
J crews very unfriendly customer service department in which I was told I should have saved my receipt, to which I replied «who saves cash receipts» … In all, a very valuable lesson was learned, never open a credit card to try and save yourself money. The cashier obviously pocketed my cash and charged the credit card. I will never ever shop J-​Crew again. Stay away from this location!!!

On my latest visit to this J. Crew Factory Store, I found the place empty and very expensive for an outlet. J. Crew has figured out how to make clothes and accessories specific to the outlet and charge non outlet prices for said items. In other words, outlet quality merchandise for near retail price.
I am not impressed. In the past, J. Crew outlets were a great bargain but not so much anymore. I’ll continue to check it out but only a quick walk through.
