What a nightmare! I had a small crack in my windshield. I contacted my auto insurance company(USAA) and they connected me to the fabulous folks at Safelite. Safelite told me they would send someone out to either repair or replace my windshield that day(Friday) between noon and 5:00 p.m. and they gave me a confirmation number. Well, nobody showed and nobody called. So, I called Safelite back and they apologized and said that the shop closed at 5:00 but they would call the shop at 8:00 on Saturday morning and reschedule the service for sometime that day and they would call me and let me know what time they were coming as soon as they called the shop. They also stated that the reason they did not come on Friday was because they never do same day service. Which is very frustrating because it was Safelite that said they were coming that day and even gave me a confirmation number via email. Well, I waited until 9:00 on Saturday and when once again nobody called, I called them back and once again they apologized and went on to tell me that they don’t do service calls on the weekends. The earliest they could come would be on Monday morning between 8:00 a.m. and noon. I told them I would have somebody else do it.
