Lots of good food. Feast for One could feed two easily. I got the chopped pork entrée, which was enough for me. I had greens and Mac and cheese as sides. The feast for one had ribs, chopped pork and chicken with beans, corn, coleslaw and fries. Both entrees had a corn muffin. Yum Yum. We also had the special sangria. The eating experience was very nice. Service was not great despite the place being empty on a Sunday afternoon. Most servers were in the bar area hanging out with their phones. I’m noticing this more and more. We tipped our server $ 10 despite her not checking back soon enough. T’is the season to be generous despite the service. Go for the food!!!

This is my second time going to Famous Dave’s and both times were at this location. I had the ½ St. Louis style ribs and ½ baby back ribs my first time but decided to switch to up this go around although the ribs were hitting!!! This time, I got the sampler appetizer as my entrée and added a side of burnt ends(oink oink) and I loved everything on the sampler. My eyes were bigger than my stomach but I got to take home most of my food which was a perk. I dug in too fast and forgot to take a pic. It was my son’s bday and they gave him a big complimentary sundae to celebrate which was enough for three of us. Our server, Kristen, was really observant, attentive, friendly and professional. I love good BBQ and for a chain restaurant, it hits the spot.

The food here is great! However, the service was pretty slow considering it was dinner time on a week night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe they were having an unusually slow day but weird that it would be so empty.

Went for lunch. Ordered the dinner size sassy salad. Nice handful of smoked pork on it, but there was only a small handful of greens. It had more cheese than greens. Not a good deal for almost $ 11. When I complained, they did take $ 5 off, but if that’s their standard price and standard serving for a salad, it’s not for me anymore. used to get almost twice as much greens. Server and manager both blamed corporate for changing the bowls it is served in, but the bowl it came in was not much more than half full.

Our waitress was very slow and did not have the best attitude. Food was okay. I ordered the nachos and they were a good deal during happy hour only 4 dollars and the plate will fill you up. The rum punch is also delicious. I would have given more stars if we received better service.

I decided to try Dave’s again recently. Tonight was the 3rd time I went since my last review 8 months ago. I don’t want to purely base my review on tonight’s experience. If I did, it would probably be a 2 star! The service was just alright. For a slow night especially, the service was kinda weak. It was almost rehearsed, not sincere. I especially get annoyed when a place offers spicy condiments but doesn’t check to refill drinks. The Texas Brisket is my fav on the menu and it hit a new low tonight. It was chewy! I just couldn’t get into it. Not sure if it was sliced wrong or cooked wrong, maybe both. Either way, very uninspired grilling. In the days of brine, smoking, BBQ sauce, rubs, and marinades this brisket was just far from good BBQ. My other dinners were better. The mac-n-cheese and the cornbread are show stealers! Even the fries are awesome! My past 2 times there they also put the BBQ sauces back on the table. Good move! Before that you could see people searching for there favorite Famous Dave’s sauce lol If I were to judge Dave’s based on tonight, I wouldn’t go there anymore. That brisket was bad, and also they put BBQ sauce all over it now. Why would they do that? They offer 6 kinds of sauce, but they dump 1 kind all over it. It kills the experience for people that want to enjoy the sauces. I hope Dave’s gets more consistent. I enjoy them more than Mission and other big name BBQ joints and I don’t want them to fall apart. They need to upgrade there training for cooks and servers and put the passion back in this place. I hope things get better for them soon.

I hesitate to review based on one experience, but was so impressed that I’ll give them props. We went during weekday lunch shift. Some negative comments revolved around dinner service so I can’t comment on that. However lunch service was great. Very pleasant server and maintained excellent service throughout. Even the manager came over and spoke for 10 min to answer questions. Pork bbq and ribs were great. Brisket was good. Loved the sauces from Habhot to sweet with nice smoky sweet heat alternatives. Devils Spit was my fav We had Mac n cheese and collard green sides and both were above average in flavor. According to the manager it’s all homemade not packaged. It tasted as such. Looking forward to trying dinner service. Atmosphere was spacial albeit lunch service. Had always gone to Corner Stable for ribs but we ended up having a better experience given food, service, atmosphere and price.

This location has quickly went downhill. We were coming here at least once every other week as we live and my husband works nearby. We tend to go for happy-hour as they have an extensive menu options and you can’t beat the price. Over the past few months we have never left satisfied or even somewhat satisfied with the service. We have went in multiple times now and been ignored while the servers chat to each other gazing occasionally in our direction while we stare right back, and we ask one another if they are ever going to come over. The last time we were there(about 3 weeks ago) we waited for ten minutes before being acknowledged. There was only one other table in the bar area and they were sitting at the booth. We couldn’t help but to listen to them ask to return the food because it was not what they had asked for — not shocking as this has also happened to us! Even when placing to-go orders which we occasionally did there would ALWAYS be something wrong. You simply ask to add a side, they forget. Or asking to have romaine instead of mixed greens seems to be the biggest inconvenience of their lives(with to-go and when Dining-In). In addition the past few times we always had to ask for refills and I recall the last time our nachos were brought out cold. We aren’t the type to complain in person out of fear of what they may do to the food, but the service can not get worse than what we’ve experienced. We have not been back or places and online order since our last visit. It’s disappointing bc this used to be a favorite.

OMG– for the love of God never ever ever eat here! Food tastes like feet. It’s so bad. Drink selection is good. Service is great. Food is so bad it’s funny. Do yourself a favor. Keep on driving right on by. It’s better to be hungry than to eat here.

I’m not thrilled with this location. I have been there for lunch twice and the food took seemingly forever. The first time I went, no one even bothered to point out that there WAS a lunch menu. The food was good the first time. I ordered the chopped pork, which comes on a slice of white bread that is soaked in the juice and sauce. Mmmm. The second time, I asked for the barbecue chips as an appetizer. I was told they no longer have barbecue chips, which came free, like chips and salsa at a mexican place, when I first started going to Famous Daves(which actually was only about two years ago since I used to live closer to a Red Hot n Blue, much better). Now, there are really no viable appetizers for two people, as their salads are terrible(they come with like fried potatoes and diced egg on top and super small diced tomatoes, just a mess!) and everything else is really heavy: wings, meat sampler, nachos. So, today I ordered the lunch portion of chicken. Since they didn’t ask whether I wanted white or dark meat, I assumed it was a half chicken. It was a quarter dark. While I dig a nice, crispy skinned roasted thigh, I do not like legs at all, and the skin on a smoked thigh is too flabby to be appetizing. So, with the skin removed, I was left with a very small portion of meat. I’m also not happy that there are now only two sauces to choose from: the Devils Spit, Wilbur’s Revenge, and Georgia Mustard were gone. The collards were good. My husband’s Mac and cheese looked really runny, but he seemed to like it. The cornbread muffin was way. Too. Sweet. I like it sweet and yellow, but this was like a donut. I wish they had put a Mission here instead.

This place is consistently good. The food is always fresh and hot, and the wait time is never too long. Service is really good, too. I highly recommend the brisket or the baby back ribs. Mac ‘n’ cheese has a nice kick to it. Corn muffins are perfect. I’ve been here several times, and I will continue to come back. Yum!

(11/14/2014) Have had Famous Dave’s several times before in other locations(and other states). It’s on the York service road up a hill that leads to the Tile Shop and the La-Z Boy store, had a hell of time trying to navigate to it. We were there at around 8:00 pm on a Friday night with dry weather and the place was near empty(although, we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table(someone explain that one to me). The lack of turned over tables should’ve tipped us off. Most other Famous Dave’s are on major thoroughfares in the midst of box store central, just ripe with the right kind of suburban dwelling lemmings. This one is seriously lacking location, location, location. It also seems like it’s run by a renegade group of teenage girls, braces, hiphuggers, verbal diarrhea(as our server self-proclaimed) and all. Hostesses were ditzy, server was efficient and attentive, if unprofessional. Got a Feast for Two, and it was enormous ‘Murican-sized portions, probably could feed a family of 6 in any other given country. On the hubcap: Texas Beef Brisket(dry, overdone, nice rub), which came on a slice of white bread; ½ a roasted chicken, wan and pale flabby skin, but moist and flavorful meat; 1⁄3 rack Ribs, in a sticky sweet sauce; 4 chunks of corn on the cob from frozen and overboiled; 2 cupcake-like corn muffins; Wilbur Beans very spicy, likely made with their Wilbur’s Revenge BBQ sauce which obviously has habaneros in it; coleslaw was decent; Famous Fries were battered and extra crispy, but ours oversalted. Best of the 4BBQ sauces we tried was the Devil’s Spit, good flavors, not sweet and decent kick. I wouldn’t call myself a chile-head, but I’m no slouch to heat. Wilbur’s Revenge was mostly habanero which drowned out most flavors of anything. The other two were pretty forgettable, overly sweet and no spicing to speak of, more like dressed up ketchup. Place reminds me of dining in Disney World, some ersatz recreated corporate experience that may or may not be based on a lie, but a calculated perception. I think there are several fine rib places nearby that are locally owned if you’re looking for a fix, that’s probably where we’re headed.

I have never had a bad meal here. The service is very good(I seem to always get a bartender named August when I go!) and the food is excellent. I love ribs and they offer several different options – all of which are delicious. Good place to stop for lunch during the week or take out during the weekend.

I’d been to one of these out in Montana so I knew it would be great! But down, here, I stumbled upon a coupon for I think a free appetizer so I brought along a few friends! I have one complaint. Just one. Why did they get rid of the drunken apples??? That’s a crime. Seriously, bring them back. Everything else was solid BBQ, though. We got boneless wings for our free appetizer which were yummy, if a little spicy for me(but I’m a wimp). For my entrée I got some type of pulled pork, but it wasn’t normal pulled pork, it was chunkier but still really good. I think I like the Montana location better in terms of the quality of the food and also the décor. The Timonium location was really industrial while in Montana, it’s like a big cozy cabin. All in all, for a chain, they’ve got some darn good BBQ!

We originally picked Famous Dave’s only because it was the only place that could seat us in under 30 minutes. And I’m glad we did. The food was good. We all enjoyed the burnt ends. I got the St. Louis style ribs which were very good as well. The only advice I give you is to watch out for the pickles. I hadn’t realized they would be so damn spicy! My wife laughed when I ordered a glass of milk. Then she tried them and grabbed and chugged half my milk! I got the last laugh on that one.

First visit to this brand new location. It has only been open for a few months. Upon entering I can already say the design is more modern looking and spacious compared to other locations that tend to look overly packed. The menu since the last time I went to a Famous Dave’s had a brand new look but seemed to highlight a lot of the same items. I did the two meat combo and it seemed like portion sizes were far less than I remember them which was very disappointing. But in the end was still enough to fill me up so I didn’t complain too much. The same great taste was still there, still amazing food. Even the addition of the mac and cheese with jalapeño was great. I’m not much for anything too spicy but the mac and cheese was great in that way. Their sides always seem to be spot on anyway. The staff was incredibly friendly, quick and attentive waiting on us. Not only that but it probably took only about 5 mins for our food to come out. No wait at all! I was shocked. This is definitely good if you are really hungry. Overall a great experience with a decent price for BBQ. Amazing service and speed was probably the highlight on this night. I’m definitely coming back soon and often if I can have a repeat of the same experience each time.

A good choice for basic barbecue. Visited for a family supper on a Sunday around 3pm. I wasn’t thrilled about the choice because I am not a fan of chains, and I’m trying to eat healthier so teh word«barbecue» should not be in my vocabulary right now. The Cedar plank salmon with steamed broccoli, grilled pineapple steaks and a side of cornbread seemed like a wise and safe choice. Ok… the cornbread was still cornbread, but I thought that it would be a good substitute for dessert. It was. I was pleased to see that lighter side dish options were clearly labeled on the menu. My selection left me satisfied without feeling guilty, gluttonous, or lethargic. On a side note: The atmosphere is more open and less cluttered than most restaurants in this chain. The service was friendly and prompt. And, the men in our party were delighted to find that each television displayed a different football game. Definitely a solid choice for a group of folks that have a hankerin’ for barbecue(plus one relatively healthy food snob.)
