Well I was tired of going to Super Cuts in the Home Depot Center since they give about the same haircut my dad could give years ago. I did a bit of looking around and discovered Honeycuts nearby. Seemed a little different but certainly worth a visit. The free scalp massage and hair wash seems to be advertised everywhere and I figured it would be a nice touch. Upon walking in, I was asked if I had been there or not before. After saying no, I wondered if they would be a bit friendlier to a new customer in a smaller franchised business. Eh, not-so-much… One of the girl’s just said«Over here…» and had me sit down. What worried me most was I asked for a basic taper on the sides and back of my neck, and a bit of texturing(with a razor) on the top since I spike my hair. Her reply? «Uh, so do you want me to use clippers?» Before I knew what was really going on, my whole head just got a single clipper size all-around. Granted I should speak up, I’m used to being asked about sideburns, necklines, and length throughout the whole cut… and am still surprised that taper and texturing seemed foreign to her. Pro? The massage(while feeling a bit forced, and quick) was a nice touch with shampoo. Almost felt like I was going to fall asleep. Certainly not free as a basic cut costs $ 20 + tip. SuperCuts runs about $ 13 and they can texture and taper. All-in-all while I may give this place another shot, I wasn’t impressed with my haircut and will continue the hunt for a good guy’s haircut. You decide whether you want a good massage, or a good cut.

Good cuts. Nice people awesome scalp massage. Overpriced. $ 20 is too much for a haircut, even with the massage. I enjoy the atmosphere and the workers are very friendly. Also, they give discounts to military members and seniors on some days. Glad to know they support their troops. I would definitely recommend this place to someone who doesn’t get their hair cut frequently or has long hair(goes every 2 months or more). However, if you’re like me and go once every two and a half to three weeks, you should probably find somewhere else. Overall, quality is great, and the people are nice. Would definitely come back.

Well it’s not your average haircut place, it looks like they misplaced barber chairs in a construction shop. It’s an interesting theme that I’m assuming is designed to gear towards the man in us. However I like it, there’s nothing fancy about it or pretentious about it. The staff is pleasant to deal with and easy on the eye’s and the cuts are good. Amy cut my hair and was very pleasant to deal with, however what sold me was the wash and massage after the cut. The shampoo they use is some kind of eucalyptus that first feels warm but then feels like you just dumped you head in ice water. As this is happening on your head she massaged my head and neck… if she would not have stopped, just 2 more minutes and I would have fallen to a deep sleep. Oh the best part is that it’s only $ 17, a steal.
