Bar IX

SO sad to see how this place has allowed itself to evolve :(
We came here during its first few weeks of business and we had high hopes. It seemed as if the management really wanted the place to be successful…
Now, the wait-​staff is EXTREMELY RUDE and there has been little, if anything to be done about the décor, seating, or entertainment WHATSOEVER! (Maybe that’s what the servers are so mad about?)

This was our first visit to Bar IX but it will not be our last. I arranged to have a gathering of about 15 people for my husband’s 65^th birthday celebration. I spoke to Heather on the phone and found her to be very accommodating. When we arrived we found the staff to be extremely welcoming. Carrie, our server was exceptional and has a great voice! She was extremely pleasant, patient, and very helpful with the menu. At first we were taken back by the brown bag service but actually found it to be quite charming. Karaōke started at 8pm (we visited on a Wednesday evening) and Big Johnson was very engaging. Most of our party participated in the festivities, which everyone seemed to really enjoy. There menu is not extensive but their food is quite tasty and fresh. With only one caveat, it could have been a bit warmer temperature wise. Not a deal breaker for certain. We ordered their beef sliders, bowl burrito’s and flour tortilla burrito’s. They were all equally delish! It was fun to create our own combinations and the possibilities are extensive. All in all, my husband’s party was quite a success thanks to Bar IX staff and chef! Definitely a great place to visit. You will not be disappointed!

On my first visit, there was live music with three different sets of performers. The night stated slow but was pretty busy by the time I left. And they had free Miller Lite that day for the UCF game.
Last night, I went in for a quick bite before Rocky Horror – it was crazy packed. They were hosting a wine & painting class. There were no tables open (not even outside), so me and my party ate our burritos on the couch, which was still cool. The class looked really fun, I may have to sign up for that later.
I’m not a burrito fan but I’ve had one of theirs on each visit. They’re pretty good. My husband, a burrito enthusiast, really likes them.
I’ll definitely come back. I hope they add tacos or tostadas to the menu.

This place is going to do very well. Each time I’ve been here I’ve been blown away by the service. While I’ve yet to try one of their burritos (the only menu item they have as of now — I’ve heard nothing but great things about them), I have stopped in for beers on several occasions. The servers are all very knowledgeable about the beers they offer and make great suggestions. The beer selection is WAY better than the brewery next door.
The last time we were there, we noticed a guy sitting at a table taking photos of sliders, presumably a new menu item. Later on in the evening, we got to talking with this gentleman, and it turns out he is the owner. He told us that the sliders were a new menu item that will be added soon, and he even had the kitchen make complimentary sliders for each person in my group for us to try. They were phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about this place. Definitely give it a try (especially if the brewery is too busy — which is how we ended up wandering down the block to this place one day).

Stopped by on Sunday morning on our way to the beach and picked up some fesh made kolaches. They were great! Made us miss Texas! Where we get these all the time. These are a bit larger but every bit as good! They make the dough there. The price is right at $ 2 each. We got one of each sausage with jalapeño, ham & cheese, bacon, sausage and egg, and one with pork. All were excellent. The bacon and pork were my favs. We will definitely go back & bring friends!

Once again even better than last time!
Server was engaged and ready with friendly fantastic attitude! We tried the sliders and we weren’t disappointed. The caprese sliders were awesome, the beef were great even with the Gorgonzola — next time we’ll ask for Cheddar.
The beers were off the hook! Cannot wait to go back for another burrito and of course beer!

The bar is very small, maybe ten seats at bar. Staff is new and very helpful with suggestions. The bar has only beer and wine. With a name like bar lX you expect a full bar. The beer selection is unique, however, they served the beer in warm pint glasses.
We ordered burritos because thats all they serve now, which were too huge and mine fell apart on the first bite. The burrito bowl is the way to go.
My suggestion is to wait till they work out the issues here.
