I love supporting local businesses and buying local products and Arruda’s Dairy is a great way to do so. The coffee milk is amazing!

I really hate living in the middle of nowhere. However, living in the country does have some small perks, and this one of them. I like the fact, that you can’t get much fresher than this. From the minute you step out of the car, you can smell the manure. This is a tiny place, and I have only gotten plain milk here. The cool part about this is the fact that when you walk in to pay, you can tell this is where some of the equipment they use to pasteurize the milk sits. I have only one complaint, and that is, the first time I ever came here I came to look for freshly made ice cream, and they didn’t have anything like that. I think they could make a mint if they did that. I know I pay a lot more for ice cream that hasn’t been sitting around for days on end! The poor young girl that was working must be so bored! But she was pleasant enough. The inside looks like a true working barn, so I can’t really rate the cleanliness, but the equipment looks clean enough.

This review may be a little bias, I grew up in Tiverton and love that it’s a local family run dairy. My favorite thing is the coffee milk, I usually stop in once a week or so for a half gallon. Although I think the best way to get it is at one of the coney island hot dog places around that serve it, as they have these really cool machines that serve it ice cold and that’s the best way to have it… as for the regular milk, they have it, but hey fresh milk is fresh milk. It’s the coffee milk that I crave. Also makes a real nice drink, a little coffee Patron and some Arruda’s Coffee milk on ice, doesn’t get much better.

The lady that works here is a little rude, however the milk is fantastic. Coffee milk, strawberry milk, chocolate milk are where it’s at. Orange juice is made from concentrate, so no biggie there.

COFFEEMILK! I know most of you are familiar with Lattes, Cappuccinos, and Nestle Nesquick but in Rhode Island the official state drink of choice is Coffee Milk which is simply a mixture of Coffee Syrup and Milk. I came to Arruda’s Dairy Farms which is located across the street from ITSELF but the one more Home feel rather than Barn feel is the one where you’ll find the small store or otherwise a small display of fruit and vegetables then a fridge full of Flavoured Milk. I got my Coffee Milk as the lady told me they milk cows twice a day really early morning. The Coffee Milk has a distinct taste where I can pick out the Fresh Milk but at the same time I could taste the bold flavour of the Syrup that almost tastes like Chocolate Syrup with Milk which most people are more familiar with.
