I’ve always loved my trips to BD’s. The fact that I can build my own stir fry is a prime reason for liking this place. The friendliness of the staff and the fact that the Grillers are fun to watch and interact with puts this establishment toward the top of my list for nice dinners out. While we have been to six or seven different BD’s, this location in the Franklin Park Mall is closest to us and we have been here at least eight or ten times over the past few years. The whole family considers it a treat when we go. The prices are not at all unreasonable for what we get. If you are looking for a fun dinner experience, give this restaurant a try.

Haven’t been in well over a year and unfortunately, probably won’t go again. Men’s bathroom was disgusting, women’s was clean. Pop was flat, rice was dry. The food we made tasted yummy. Service was pretty good but wow, have the prices increased. Overall, it was a mediocre experience.

I came here for the first time back on 12÷20÷14 right after my cousin graduated from The University of Toledo. This all you can eat restaurant is great. I really like how you pick whatever food you want and they cook it for you and you can watch them prepare it. I didn’t mind that they talked loud amongst themselves while preparing the food lol.

This place has gone downhill, but the price seems to increase. Dinner on a Saturday, and the restaurant was busy. However, that’s no excuse for just poor service. We had to ask for each drink refill… leaving empty glasses as we went up for a second bowl didn’t seem good enough. Sat with our first round of dirty plates and glasses through the whole meal. Took absolutely forever to get a check, then to have our waitress pick up the card to run. Restrooms, both men and women, were absolutely disgusting. Not worth the $ 17.99 price for one meal.

I’ve been to several different BD’s locations now. This is my favorite of the bunch. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the prices, they have gone up recently, I feel like the old prices were fair. Yes I’ve had a few«bad» dishes here, but that is of course always on you since you pick your own ingredients and make your own choices. Most of my choices have been good, and the ingredients are always fresh. Stopped in today for lunch again, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and my stir fry was great. I’ll go back, but not as frequently as I have in the past.

Got there on a Sunday night around 7 and the place was practically dead, yet all of the bins at the stations were mostly empty and didn’t get refilled at all while we were there. Prices have increased since the last time I was there as well, single bowl is now over $ 14 with tax. The food still tastes good from a quality perspective, but non waitress-based services have declined while prices have increased; there’s just no way to justify anything more than 3 stars unfortunately.

Mongolian Grill is just an awesome restaurant. Fresh ingredients, cooked right in front of you, and the staff are always super friendly. They ran out pineapple and the manager apologized profusely and even gave my kids a treat. Way above and beyond. TIP: If you don’t like seafood tell them you have an allergy so they keep the nasty shrimp from other customer’s bowls from jumping into yours! LOL

Took my family of 4 in for a dinner experience that was a bit different. The food and service was pretty good. The cleanliness of the place on the other hand was terrible. I went to get a salad from the salad bar and stacked six dirty plates to the side before I found a clean one. Then after I brought my food up for the cooks to cook it. The counter where you set your raw meat was sticky, probably from other peoples raw meats and sauces. So then i decided to wash my hands and the bathroom was disgusting. It smelled of urine, trash cans overflowing and counter had not been cleaned since maybe this morning. Never again!

My brother treated my family to a wonderful meal here. We found the stirfry and soup and salad bar to be delicious and satisfying. The service was also fast and friendly. I will definitely go back here. The food is healthful and flavorful, and the atmosphere is good for being able to communicate with the people at your table.

This is the worst Mongolian grill i have tried. Really bad! I don’t know why it has so high review. Kill me!

I’m sure I just have all the bad luck. I have visited this location and AA and both experiences were slow, at best. Perhaps my issue was that both times I was with a large group. We chose this place because we figured it would be casual, if people didn’t want to stay after eating they could grab their checks and go, or sit and talk as we were given our own room and two waitresses. One waitress was great, the other was constantly getting yelled at by her coworker because she wasn’t doing anything. We thought people could grab their checks and go as needed? Good luck getting your check in anything under a half hour there. Let me ask this, if the server doesn’t have to take your order, go tell the chefs to prepare your food, OR carry it to your table for you, what are we paying the servers for? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great deal for them. We serve ourselves and make our own food, but let’s just cut out the middle man here. Drinks took upwards of 20 minutes. We could see them sitting on the bar, so don’t blame the bartender! It was long enough that a frozen cocktail had all but melted by the time it came to our table. My experience with this chain is that they give the servers exactly as much training as their position requires… none. Don’t expect quick service or professionalism. Oh yeah, the food is so sub par that I can’t even remember what I had.

The grillers were good(the only good part) they were nice and friendly(yet not as energetic as in Ann Arbor), but the food was horrible(everything on the buffet was frozen!!) The server seemed sweet but was just not a good server(not attentive to us what so ever) and they weren’t even busy! There are far better places in Toledo to eat at then here. We won’t be back.

Management needs to have more staff during the weekdays at the lunch hour… my waiter was extremely overworked. As a result my service was less than expected… and I hold management responsible. This is not my first Mongolian Rodeo, nor my 20th either. I first experienced BD’s Mongolian BBQ at Store 001 where it all started some 20 years ago in Royal Oak Michigan. During these last 20 years I’ve been to the AnnArbor, Dearborn, Chicago, Denver, Grand Rapids and Okemos locations. They have been crazy busy and I have NEVER failed to have my drink, rice, and tortillas waiting back at my table upon return from the grill… till now. You had maybe 21 customers in there. The food is still awesome though. My visit was Thursday December 18 around 1 ish. 3 ½ stars for service issues. I still prefer the A2 location. They’re CRAZY busy and can rock it like pros.

First time here today for lunch, and won’t be the last. So many proteins to choose from and tons of veggies, spices, and sauces to add to your bowl. I highly recommend the yum yum sauce as it totally complemented everything. I learned from people eating and hear on Unilocal,I am piling that bowl as high as I can without tipping and running to the grill so I have a whole meal left over to take home with me. Smash your bowl down till you can’t smash it anymore. Lol.

I must have hit this place on an off day or something. I am a pretty picky foodie anyway. The staff and manager really did bend over backward to make my experience better, and they get a extra star for that. There is just no excuse for brown lettuce, mushrooms that looked like they were a day or two old, dirty dishes, and just a messy mixed together salad bar at noon on a Friday. It looked like a late Saturday night leftover bar just before closing. I was just grossed out. My bowl was so awful and burnt it was inedible. They gave me some off my meal and a free dessert, but it was still $ 30 after tip for 2 for lunch with no alcohol for food I didn’t even eat. As much as they tried to make me happy, I can do way better at home for a fraction of the cost. I was so turned off I lost my appetite. It had been a super long time since I’d been at one of these, and I just would not bother again. Even if it was decent, it’s still way over priced. I’m good.

I should have went into this place and enjoyed a meal sooner. I ordered their strawberry lemonade and it was delicious. The server brought us a refill before we could even ask. Although the first one tasted way better. The second tasted a little artificial. There’s a large variety of noodles, poultry, tofu, vegetables, sauces and spice available to put into the unlimited bowl of food. I had almost everything with teriyaki and pad Thai sauce with a little hot sauce. It was amazing watching the chef cook our food in front of us. They did burn my friends second plate a little but it was still good. For dessert, I had the red velvet cupcake. It was a piece of heaven. I went home and had a food coma. My whole meal was only 15 dollars.

Ugh, not sure if we had a bad experience or if I have very different tastes than other reviewers, but this place was bad. Awkward and rude host, stale crackers and salad toppers, gross broccoli cheddar soup, so-so main course, odd textured pot stickers, and a little pricey. The only good things were the friendly chef, charming waitress, and the salad bar. Will not be returning.

Love bd’s…since it is in the mall it can be crowded but if you go at the right time seating is quick. I have a seafood allergy and they are super helpful and make sure that I get delicious food without risk of contamination… highly recommend!

I love this place, seriously if you don’t like the food it’s your own fault because you pick it out. Don’t skip the salad bar it’s one of the best parts.

Oh how I wish Orlando had one of these. This is a must-do for our family when we are anywhere near a bd’s. This was our fancy restaurant to go to in college. I love that you can select your own meats/vegtables/sauces. It makes it really easy for me to be picky. If I don’t like it, try again. We always get the unlimited option for that reason. I tend to always stick with a similar combination but my husband always goes for something different. Yes they make you work a bit for your food, but it’s so worth it in the end.
