This is a nice mom and pop candy shop. The owners are very welcoming and you can find all kinds of candy there. Definitely worth stopping by of your in Toledo. They also have a nice array of different types of cream soda ;)

Great little candy store. Little. It’s little. REALLY little. But like Dr. Who’s TARDIS, it’s a lot bigger than it may seem… they have a ton of stuff… great old style candy, like Turkish taffy, bubble gum cigars, hot dogs, etc.(And yes, they also have a lot of the high fructose corn syrup shizzle that passes for today’s candy). Best of all, IMO, they have a large selection of «craft pop,» some of it locally made! I find that one or two of these bottles seem to be the perfect thing to drink with a takeout pizza from Inky’s or Rival’s! Definitely stop in, and bring your kids. Let ‘em load up on candy. And then take ‘em to Biggby’s for a shot of espresso!

There are few things in life now a days that bring back the feeling of being a kid again. One walk into Boyds, and you are quite literally a kid in a candy store! The selection is affordable and amazing! There’s old timey candy you can’t find anywhere else and also modern day brands. The staff are all super sweet also! If you haven’t visited this store before, I highly recommend it!

I love this little shop. If there is a candy you want that they don’t stock, the owner will order it for you. He will get any quantity you want as well. Helped me with a Halloween costume s couple of years ago, and with Christmas presents this year. Very friendly service, my only complaint is that the store is small.

Oh yeah. So awesome. This is an old-time time candy store, like with the candy in glass containers on the shelf, like the old-time pharmacies. Lots and lots and lots of candies, stuff you haven’t seen in years, It will really take you back to childhood. So amazing. It’s small, but packed with lots of different types of candies. And if you tell the clerk what type of candy like, they can recommend other types of candy for you to try. This place is the best!

I went to Boyd’s Retro Candy Store on my vacation. Boyd’s is a great place to get candy. The prices are reasonably Low. The Staff is nice and will to help you find things. You can get packaged candy or make a bag up your favorite candy’s. I LOVE there brand Caramel candy. The Aisles are a little tight but it is worth it for the candy vast selection. They also have candy maid with splenda. If their is something that you want that they don’t have they will order it for you. You can also order candy off their wed sight at . I would go again.

Cool little candy store. Emphasis on little… Hard to maneuver around but the selection is great!!! Thinking ahead, a nice place to get candy for stocking stuffers. Kids would love this place. Parking is a bit of a challenge but they are open for longer hours than one might think. A walk back in time!

From the cute exterior to the selection inside, Boyd’s is a Toledo must. When I first moved to Ohio my mom found it on a list of «Toledo sites to see» and we all made a trip. The inside is very small and cramped, but don’t let that deter you — every possible space is crammed with candy. From the retro stuff that your parents have probably told you about(or maybe you’ve told your kids about) to the newer stuff and even things I would never think of, Boyd’s definitely has something for everyone. We spent well over an hour just going through the selection. I, personally, don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but even just visually it was so much fun to be there and read the wrappers and listen to the people reminiscing. The prices were good, too.

Nice little candy store. They have a lot of candy from your childhood that will bring back memories, as well as new candy and stuff you’ve never seen before. Some of the prices will be high especially on common candy(snickers, reeses etc). There is a huge selection of bottled beverages from Faygo, Coke, and a bunch of unknown manufacturers. Excellent place to go to get your sugar fix.

I have an incredible sweet tooth. I came across Boyds while doing my thing on the streets of Toledo. OK, get your minds out of the gutter because my thing happened to be driving a hack. Boyds has almost every candy ever made. Ok, maybe I’m overstating it a bit, but you will not leave here without something you remember from your childhood. Remember when your allowance was a dollar and it was plenty to give Godzilla a toothache? Boyds has penny candy, Jelly Bellys and lots of other candy I am at a loss to name. In case you don’t live in or near Toledo. they also do mail order which is a plus. They are a very friendly place, and oh yeah, before I forget they also sell retro sodas, stuff you thought was gone forever. I, like Radar O’Reilly am nuts for Grape Nehi. I had never experienced it, and when I did, I was in love, or maybe lust. I looked all over Toledo for a source of the purple nectar, but alas, Boyds turned out to be the only place that has it in NW Ohio. Next time youre in T-town looking for something sweet, go to Boyds and step back into your childhood. Yes, you can drop a few bucks here, but not too many and hey, you might just find yourself a little younger and yes, those grape stains on your lips will eventually come off.
