This restaurant is beyond Fabulous! Outstanding food, fantastic service! We ordered many different entrees to share with the four of us. I sure wish they were closer to my city! We got there when they opened and the parking lot was already getting full. By the time we left the restaurant was packed. I would have never thought I would have enjoyed this kind of Mediterranean food. It is well worth the wait and the drive! Cannot wait to go back!

This restaurant is a family tradition for me. I crave this food, I dream about the raw beef kibbi nayee(I’ve been eating it as since I could eat solid food as a child), I need the falafel salad in my life as often as possible. This is the food I must have whenever I come back to Toledo. The restaurant is unassuming — tucked away in a weird office looking building on the part of S. Reynolds where it starts to get a little sketchy. There is plenty of parking, though you might need to walk a little as the up front spots get taken quickly during rush times. The restaurant itself is on the second floor of the building and you can take either an elevator or the stairs. There is a beautiful mural on the stairs, so if you can take the short trek, it’s worth it to see the artwork! The inside of the restaurant is dark, intimate, and decorated in a cozy and welcoming way. If you have a big group, book the private dining area near the fireplace. Honestly, most of the time my family and I have Byblos, we do carry-out because we are a large group, which makes dining out expensive and there is NO difference in the quality of the food if you eat it at the restaurant or get it to go. My favorites here are the hommos, hot grape leaves(the veggies in my family don’t really care for the cold grape leaves by the way), the beef kibbi nayee(raw beef — the most amazing thing ever, spread it on a pita with a drizzle of olive oil, raw onions, cucumber, and radish and maybe some falafel), the kabob combo which includes kafta, tawook, and kabob, and the falafel salad. The Ari-Yes club used to be a big hit with me, but it can get a little soggy if you get it to go. If you choose to order super Americanized dishes at this place, do so at your own discretion. I will not vouch for anything other than their Lebanese food. This is where you come for fantastic Mediterranean. And they do it so well.

This is one of the best Middle Eastern places in Toledo. I have tried many items on the menu and everything is delicious!!! I would especially recommend the grilled chicken sheesh tawook?, lentil soup, and the lasagna! Rice would be great as a side with any grilled dish. I also love the ambience. Nice and quite where you can enjoy great dinner and private conversations at the same time. Would be perfect for a date or a business meeting!

It’s the most and close to middle eastern food you can get. Love it I will be back when ever I am around this area

Great filet mignon. Was cooked perfectly. The meat is halal also, even though there is no mention of that online or on the menu.

Wonderful atmosphere and authentic and flavorful food. I am on a doctor ordered grain-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free diet and they were able to accommodate my request for clean & safe food handling in all of those spaces. I got the steak kebobs and asked for veggies instead of rice. The veggies were just green beans but they gave me a ton of them. My kebob dish acted as dinner and then lunch for two served over a bed of lettuce the next day. Big portions!

I’m from Pittsburgh but have family in Toledo and every time we visit, we make a point to go to Byblos. The food is excellent, generous portions, and very reasonable prices! The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for a nice quiet family dinner. Highly recommend the shish kafta, sautéed mushrooms, and stuffed grape leaves! :-)

Good food, decent prices, but last time I was there it was about an hour and 10 minutes before close, we were the only ones there on a week day, they told us the kitchen was closeing soon, we felt rushed and got stared down all night. I work retail and I understand when you want to get out on time, but we left with 20 minutes still till close. No tip was left for the rude waitress.

Solid mediterranean restaurant in South Toledo. I have eaten here for both lunch and dinner. They seem to carry a solid crowd at both times. The service is hit or miss depending on the night and who you get as wait staff, that is the biggest downfall of the restaurant! The hummus and mixed vetables are great. When ordering I have tried numerous dishes here but typically gravitate to the Chicken Shawarma which is served with a slice of pita bread and rice. It is always on point and something I would definitely recommend. We have ordered their pizza’s numerous times and I would almost come close to saying it is one of the best pizza’s in Toledo. This is definitely a solid restaurant but don’t go expecting the best service all the time because you will be let down occasionally!

Had dinner here a few weeks ago. Overall — Not Turkish in any way. Pros — Can’t think of anything except large main dish portions. Cons — Cold bread; Appetizer: foul mudammas(fava bean with garlic, lemon juice and olive oil) — canned beans with some chopped tomatoes and onions next to the beans; vegetarian grape leaves were a mess(mostly rice). Main dish(2 orders) — shish tawook — nothing Lebanese about the dish; simply large amounts of charbroiled chicken. Service was fairly lax and inattentive.

truly awful. just had the lasagna that was literally layered noodles, nothing in between, mozzarella on top and a horrible dark red canned sauce. cross this one off the list.

This is a nice relaxing place with solid food. That said, here are my complaints… Theres no music at all in the dining room. On a Friday night with about 5 other tables, it made it a little awkward to hear everyone’s conversations with no background noise. Our food was very good. Shish kabob ordered med rare and one chunk was, but one was med well. As someone else mentioned, serving the kabobs with rice and fries is definitely starch overkill. Having to pay $ 7+ for a large order of fatoosh was the only option for a green side. The kabobs said green peppers, but there was literally one chunk of it on the plate. That said, it was tasty and rice was moist. I’ll try the shish kafta next time!

Had dinner with a client and the food was great. The kabob combo was huge. I have not had that type of quality in a long while. The only comparison was to a buddy’s Greek restaurant from years ago.

There’s no other Mediterranean restaurant in the area that compares to the quality and freshness Byblos provides. Although the exterior seems a little deceiving, the food is more than up to par, in my opinion. Freshness of pita varies; if youre lucky you get them piping hot and fresh while other times you receive them cold. Grapeleaves, Fattoush, and Kafta are my absolute favorites, while the Chicken Shwarma was mediocre. Grapeleaves are always a safe choice and have never failed me here. Despite having a little too much seasoning, the Fattoush is amazingly fresh and cold, a fantastic, yet pleasant, contrast to the savory Kafta. The Chicken Schwarma was a little dry and the sauce had a little off-taste to it. Nonetheless, Byblos is always my go-to place for great Mediterranean food in Toledo.

Oh Byblos, I miss you so! Truly the best Mediterranean with bonus of excellent service. I’ve looked high and low, and not found anything out West that comes close to comparable!

Let me first say how impressed I was with how comfortable and quiet the dining section in Byblos is. The ambiance is first rate. All of the food tastes like it is made fresh, and the chef really pays attention to detail. This is probably the best Mediterranean food that I’ve had in Toledo. If you go, you have to try their vegetarian grape leaves… they are seriously the best that I’ve ever had. They come out warm, and they’re all rolled by hand, so each one has a unique shape to it. Yum! Everyone at our table had a different dish, and we all agreed — Byblos’ food is very tasty!

Love Byblos. It’s the kind of place you get lost in for a few hours. Amazing food, a few drinks, big leather chairs. Recommend starting with some Raw Kibbi, Sautéed Mushrooms and Zucchini, and splitting the Shish Tawook. It’s tons of food. Take out is awesome also.

I went with old friends to catch up. The décor is outdated making me wish I had a silk flowered, half unbuttoned shirt and huge gold chians. I have to say the chairs were comfortable. The food was OK but there are much better places with better quality and less cost. Our server was so pushy which made us feel rushed. This was very irritating since we were catching up with friends we havent seen in a while. We ordered the Hommos, Feta Cheese and Olive platter, and Fatoosh. The Hommos was very paisty and dry, the feta and olives were just feta and kalamata olives not much variety for $ 7.00 app. The Fatoosh was good. I ordered Shish Kafta It was good but dried out quickly. We had rice and fries for sides I think one starch was enough? Good wines the busser was awesome! He kept our water glasses full. Man that server wow. I dont think I will go back., who knows.

Do not let the appearance of this place fool you. The middle eastern food here is absolutely fantastic. The hummus is over the top ridiculous, with a healthy amount of lemon(and garlic?) thrown in there and a splash of paprika on the top. The fattoush is absurdly tasty, a nice salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions tossed in a lemon, olive oil and parsley dressing, with toasted pita chips in there that soak up the deliciousness. I also had the Byblos Best, a nice dish of steak tips cooked in lemon and garlic and served atop another generous helping of Byblos’ killer hummus. These guys also accommodated our massive party of about 20 without a hitch on a Saturday night. If I had one complaint, it would be that I’d love the baskets of pita that come with each meal to be served warm. But nevertheless, this place makes great food at a great value.

The food was good but Byblos probably won’t be the first restaurant I choose when I’m craving Lebanese food. The portions were big enough to share and were satisfying enough but nothing really stood out. The restaurant was very dimly lit.
