Classic Lounge

The classic is easily toledos favorite «Hole in the wall» type bar. It’s smaller then most in a cozy way… It’s like the black version of cheers, you’ll see the same faces there week after week. Drinks are cheap, Raina is a great bartender and very professional.
The food is AMAZING but it’s easier to go in and order bc they don’t answer the phones consistently due to sheer customer and music volume. The only thing I really really don’t like about this place is the bathroom. If you put aside the fact that it’s small, it’s extremely unclean. I’ve never once been in there and there NOT been flies, urine everywhere and it not smell worse then a portopotty other then that I recommend it

2 stars for cheap good drinks. This is a primarily black dominated bar though I have seen some other ethnicities here during happy hour having a good time. Happy hr 4 to 730 with no drink ever over $ 6 even at regular price. They have top shelf liquor domestic beer and Sutter home type wine.
If you tip, they will remember you and get back to you faster. Most of the time anyway. Just be patient. It is a hole in the wall type bar but head to the back. Theres a kitchen with the best fried chicken wings Ive had in life. Made from scratch mac n cheese, collard greens are my favorite sides but they have chicken gizzards fish pasta and most other soul food you can think of. I come sometimes to just get food
Music during the week is more r n b with mostly over 30 crowd until about 9 then it changes to hip hop and the crowd gets younger. Ive never any problems here but Im rarely here past 9 and never on weekends. If nothing else come early evening and get some of these chicken wings
