I’d give it zero stars if I could. A friend of mine raved about this place, so while i was in town to visit the botanical garden we decided to stop. The view is great and that’s about all this place has going for it. The back of the dining room backs up to the field where the Mud Hens play. We were able too watch batting practice which was cool. I ordered the sliders and curly fries. Fries were just frozen fries. Nothing great, but ended up being my meal. I ordered the cheeseburger sliders. You get 4 with the order. They looks good, but the shape led me to believe the mat was frozen. Tom my first bite and the texture was HORRIBLE. Usually with burgers, you can see the texture of the beef. This was just… weird and almost tough! Then the taste. The only thing I can compare it to is the«flame broiled» taste Burger King burgers have only stronger. It tasted fake and almost like way too much liquid smoke or something. I ate 1 slider and took a bite of another and couldn’t do it anymore. I had a pit in the bottom of my stomach that i couldn’t force myself to have another bite. Service was slow(in the middle of the day with only 3 other tables there). Thankfully the beer was cold, so they had that going for them… Never again.

First, we are sitting down to eat and drink. My friend asks to order an extra 50 piece wings to go. They tell him the price is for dine in only. Most reasonable places will offer the whole ticket at the special price. Not here. Second, I order wings and ask to split it for 2 sauces. They don’t do this either. They just lost out on my entire order. This is no Pluckers!

The Boneless Wings in Killer sauce knocked it out of the park for me! This was my 1st time @Fricker’s bein from Omaha & all, I was so impressed with the tenderness, unique flavor, quality & even the service! Amber was a great server, very sincere in the kind of way you can only hope to experience. Needless to say, change nothing. But do consider expanding as well as bottling your sauces for retail. I’ll definitely be back!

Poor service. Cured the craving for wings but barely. Beer was cold haha. Only go back if in the same situation… It’s late and we need wings.

I had heard a lot about this place while living in Florida. Ate here a few times on visits. I was never all that impressed, but SWMBO liked the boneless chicken chunks, so I could find something so she could have them. Been to one in Defiance, been to the one on Reynolds a handful of time and to this downtown local probably 6 times. Living downtown, we are looking for places with good food. I gotta tell ya, this ain’t one. I have never eaten anything that impressed me here, and lately the experience has been deteriorating. I will say we have always had pleasant servers. Tori today was a dream, especially when dealing with a rare occurrence of my wife returning something. First thing is our result of ordering for our daughter. Can you believe that the kids menu does not include a burger and fries? Chicken chunks, cheese quesadilla, hot dog, mini corndogs and chicken strips. No burger? When we asked, Tori said no, but she could just get a regular burger. She pointed to it on the menu. A 1⁄3 pound burger. Way too big for a 4 year-old. Molly doesn’t finish a 2 oz kids meal burger. What irks me a little is the fact that they have sliders on the menu. You’re telling me you couldn’t make a kids meal with one slider on it? Makes NO sense. And while we’re on the subject of sliders, let me mention the disappointing visit to Reynolds Road the trip before this. They have this new special they call the«Three For All’. I think it’s 2 sliders, boneless chicken chunks and fries. You pick the sliders. But… heaven forbid you would want to pick two DIFFERENT sliders. Oh no! We can not do that! SERIOUSLY? I kind of wanted to try their pork bbq slider, but you know my taste with BBQ. I wanted a burger with it so if the ‘cue was bad, at least I had a small burger to appease me. So, I had two bad BBQ pork sliders, and the boneless wings were not so good either. Seriously, how can you advertise choice of sliders, but make them both be the same arbitrarily? Bad service. Plain and simple. Today, Jackie tried another of their oh-so-cutely-named specials. Beef and Bird: 6oz sirloin steak and chicken wings. We had gone to Fricker’s today partly because Jackie was in the mood for a steak and she had liked the one we had this summer during one of their daily specials. On Wednesdays, they have a nice little steak snack of a 5 oz sirloin and a side for $ 5.99. It was good then. i did have a few beers though. Anyway, there are two choices of steak on this menu. The aforementioned Beef and Bird or a 1-pound porterhouse with or without shrimp. No way Jackie is ordering a 16oz hunk of red meat. She also said she wasn’t hungry enough for the beef and wings. I told her to order and just take the wings home for a light dinner in the next few days. I’m sorry I did that. She ordered medium and got hammered. No red or pink in that sorry sliver of cow. She tried eating it anyway and it was like chewing a piece of salty, cheap gum. i still had to practically beg her to return it. What she got back looked better, but was still on the high side of mid-well. She tried, but could only eat about two bites. it was still chewy and weirdly seasoned. She ate the wings. Now my food was not any better. I order Mississippi BBQ Nachos. Advertised as «Traditional Southern Pulled Pork served with our Signature BBQ sauce and melted cheese on nacho chips.» My first mistake? I had forgotten I didn’t care for their pulled pork, but that was not the only problem. Being next to the ball field, we established a theme with this dish: About 4 ounces of pulled pork with not much sauce(pretty dry in fact) — strike one. Maybe two ounces of melted cheese(not much cheese for nachos) — strike two. A heaping plate(way too many for the toppings, so bare and dry) of house fried nacho chips. Problem/other than the obvious? They appeared to be whole wheat chips because of the dark color. Messed up as that WOULD have been, it was much worse. They had been fried in oil that was a good day beyond the point that it should have been changed. Very greasy, nasty, burnt flavor. umpire? STEEEEEEEEE-Rike Three! On the way home, Jackie said a dozen words that made my day. I don’t think we need to go back to a Fricker’s again.

This is my favorite local Fricker’s location because of its proximity to 5⁄3 Field. The service is good and there’s some nice views inside that allow you to enjoy a live Mud Hens game. Good prices and a menu with a nice variety of choices. This location is also next door to the upcoming«Hensville» district project that will be under construction soon!

Fricker’s is always good. This location is great though! The back right table has a great view of the Mud Hens stadium which is pretty cool.

There’s nothing that especially stands out about this particular Frickers, either good or bad. Food is consistently tasty, service is plenty passable, and this location has a nice view of the ballpark if that’s your thing. It’s on my short list of weekday lunch locations to hit with my downtown co-workers, both for the convenience of the location(walkable from downtown offices) and its lunch specials. No complaints!

Ate here before going to MudHens game on Friday night. Boneless wings were tender, sauce(Garlic) was pretty good though a little too greasy. Had some great beer specials especially for a Friday night. Will come back the next time I’m down in Toledo

Positives: — Downtown Toledo is a great location for a place like this — The wings are really tasty — Beer specials are reasonable compared to other downtown bars Negatives: — Service here plain stinks. It’s pretty clear the management doesn’t care that the waitresses are stuck up and rude. — The food is really overpriced and fairly generic. The big problem with Frickers in general is the company’s refusal to provide nutritional information for their food. You can contact them and ask for it but they will plainly tell you that they are unwilling to share that information. That tells me one of a few things: Either they want to hide what’s in their food as if people knew what they were eating they’d likely not eat it, they do not stand behind what they serve, they think they know best and should make decisions about what their customers eat for the customers, they are so profit-driven that they don’t want to spend money to get the food professionally tested, or they think so lowly of their customers that they cannot waste their time with giving them this information. Whatever the reason, flat out refusing to provide this data makes the company look SO shady. Why spend money with a company that operates that way when there are many other better places who will gladly tell you what you’re eating?

Our road trips leading to Toledo usually end up with a stop at Frickers. this one did. We stopped in during a Mud Hens game and were not hard pressed to find a good seat. Service was a bit slow, but the place was packed, and they seemed a bit short-handed. Loud, but expected, and baseball on every TV in the house including live feeds from the Mud Hens game(yay!). A quick look at the menu and I immediately noticed my Huckleberry. the X-Scream wings. The hottest wings Frickers had to offer. A decent beer menu set my entrée up nicely. Only drumsticks for me… didn’t feel like ripping through wings(extra charge). The hot stuff come out tossed in only their second hottest sauce, with a cup of X-Scream on the side. Prior to eating, all of the drumsticks were«X-Screamed» with the sauce. 10 wings… X-Scream…went down like butter. In the past, and at other establishments, I have had much, much hotter wings, being advertised far less. «Wings» were decent sized, not too small, and not overbearing. Heat needs to be upgraded in my humble opinion. Beer specials were had by all, and food left us stuffed and satisfied. The tab was reasonable, considering the great view of the Mud Hens game. As always, we will certainly hit Frickers when we make it back to the lovely downtown Toe-leeedo.

Frickers… a name that only a seven-year-old me would find amusing. I haven’t been here for a couple years, but I sometimes pay a visit if I see a Toledo Mudhens game… these reviews are about right with what I remember. The place isn’t a total pile of bollocks, but it’s not that interesting. I think of it as a Buffalo Wild Wings with food that isn’t quite as good. It’s in a pretty nice location in downtown Toledo, but there are a hell of a lot of better options in the city.

As far as sports bars go, its got location, beer and wings. They excell on the first two. Wings are nothing to brag to friends about. The service is good, but the wait staff is not very personable. Most sports bars have an atmosphere that draws you in. Other Frickers I’ve been too have that. This location falls short on the«hang out with us cuz we are a happening cool place to be» factor. They rely too much on their location next to the field to make up for their short commings inside. My recommendations: Bubble up the staff, try smiling, little accent lighting goes a long way and add some flavor to the wings.

We had a coupon for buy a pot belly sandwich and get another for a penny. However, we forgot to bring the coupon but decided to try this place anyway. When I walked in I was not at all impressed. The tables were sticky and it was dimly lit. I looked over the menu and asked a few questions and decided on the grilled chicken wrap with medium sauce on the side and a side of ranch. My husband chose the Mississippi BBQ Wrap with kicker side sauce. My daughter ordered the cheese quesadilla. My wrap was OK. The chicken in it was dry and the medium sauce was not good at all. We all have different tastes and my tastes did not like that sauce. My daughters cheese quesadilla was just that. A cheese quesadilla. And it cost 3.99 and did not include a drink. Really??? My husbands BBQ wrap was the best out of all the meals. He liked it. I didn’t. But we both agreed the side kicker sauce was different. We did not care for it either. It had a vinegar taste to it. If I an ever in the area again I know I would not go back. Just not my thing.
