Came here for the first time tonight! The blonde girl working was very sweet to all the different customers(the place was packed). I had«spouse like a house» flavor and it was awesome! Every town needs a place like this! Hope I come to town again soon to try a new flavor!

5 stars for old fashioned goodness but with tons of new flavors. This place celebrates 70 years this year. Prices are great. 4 scoop sampler is $ 3.95. Banana Split $ 4.76. Pints for $ 4. Tons of toppings on their splits. Worth a trip for good old fashioned fun. There was always a line while I was here. Chubby Hubby. That’s a flavor. Not what my wife thinks of me.

The ice cream is incredible. I mean, it tastes literally amazing. The only problem is that the prices are beyond ridiculous. I had to pay five dollars for a peanut butter Sunday where it was basically a scoop and a half of ice cream with some peanut butter sauce and whip cream and some candy. That seems like a three dollar item to me, not w five dollar plus item. But it was very good ice cream. The price makes me prefer Timbo’s instead though.

The best chocolate peanut butter malt I’ve ever had. The perfect balance between chocolate and peanut butter. We sampled each other”s ice cream flavors, and they were all phenomenal– praline pecan, banana cream pie, coconut cream pie, strawberry cheesecake crunch, spouse like a housel. If you get the four scoop sampler(only 4 bucks!), eat your favorite flavors first. You’ll get full. Quick, friendly service. Great prices.

Chocolate ice cream plus banana ice cream = Elvis milkshake. Extra thick of course. My favorite. Five stars every time.

Awesome service and great malts! We went a little out of our way to go to this place because it was handmade ice cream and it was totally worth it!

You know how sometimes you get pissed off when the guy behind the counter making your burrito gives you too little meat… or sour cream… or cheese? Like what-is-your-problem-give-me-another-scoop-of-that…thanks. It’s not going to be a problem at Handel’s. They give you that extra scoop… and then some. I’ve been to Handel’s a whopping two times this summer and loved it. Both times I ordered a «Hurricane»…medium. First time I went for the Strawberry Cheesecake Chunk and then the Caramel Pretzel Crunch. I also wasn’t shy about it and asked for a little bit of «extra» like cheesecake chunks in my Caramel Pretzel Crunch. UH-mazing. I loved… the guys and gals behind Handel’s counters because they do not leave you short of such crucial ingredients on a hot summer day. Turns out, I overestimated the amount of great ice cream I can eat so I may try really hard to just order the small next time. Along with trying all their other homemade flavors!

I am not much of an ice cream fan; I would much rather have a savory treat over ice cream. Still, my wife loves the stuff and will often drag me someplace to snag some. This was especially true when she was pregnant, during which I think I put on at least ten pounds, all the result of consuming something that I don’t like all that much. Having said that, there is no doubt that Handel’s offers the best ice cream that I have ever eaten. It’s rich, delicious, and reasonably priced. There are several dozen flavors to choose from and the customer service is top notch. I highly recommend one of there peanut butter and chocolate varieties(I believe there are a few)!

Went to Handel’s a week ago to get some ice cream. They have been in business since the 50’s and make their own ice cream. They usually have about 40 on hand at any time and it’s GREAT! I usually get a cone or a chocolate malt but the sundaes are really good! The nice thing about them is, for example, if you want a hot fudge brownie sundae but don’t want vanilla ice cream and want something else, just ask for it. My buddy gets mint chocolate chip i.c. all the time and it’s okay with them, no extra charge to switch. Or you can get a couple of different flavors if you want. It’s a walk-up service like a DQ. They have tables and benches outside to sit at if you don’t want to sit in your car or aren’t taking it home. Delicious treat, I wish it was closer to home but maybe that’s a good thing.

This place is a scoopful of tasty goodness! I love the homemade ice cream-its creamy texture is to die for and the amount of mix ins are unbelievable! The four scoop sampler is a great deal for indecisive folks like myself and with a long list of flavors like Handel’s, who can only pick one anyways?! The to-go pint and quart prices are also good to fulfill those midnight cravings. Flavor-wise, you can’t go wrong as they’re all delicious but my favorites include any of the cheesecake flavors, chocoholic chunk, graham central station, cake batter and chocolate peanut butter brownie. Another good thing is that Handel’s is open year long– if you’re like me, ice cream is definitely more than a summer treat! Check out Handel’s, you won’t be sorry!

Here’s the scoop: 5 on variety of flavors, 4 – 5 on quality of the ice cream(flavor-dependent), 3 on ambience(pretty quaint building but on a busy main drag). All in all, well worth a visit to satisfy that craving on a hot day.

Very easily the best ice cream place in this part of the state. Nothing else comes close to it. And it’s open ALL year long!

Handel’s when it’s hot/Handel’s when it’s cold/Handel’s whenever the heck you want/It’ll never get old! Fresh and delicious… the Banana Cream Pie flavor is THEBEST. The Handel Pops are coated in pure heaven(AKA Belgian Chocolate). Red Skies at Night(Raspberry Ice Cream with Chocolate Chunks) is frozen lust. Even plain ol’ vanilla is pure and sweet(to paraphrase my favorite baker, Dufflet Rosenberg). The Four-Scoop Sampler is the best deal — four mini-scoops for under $ 5. You can try some crazy flavors!

Some of the best homemade ice cream around the country. Every time i am in town I try to stop in for a Cone. Spouse like a house is one of my favorite kinds. I had peanut butter and peanut butter filled pretzels mixed in the vanilla ice cream. One word = delicious!!!
