Although the food here is always excellent they NEVER have it ready when they say, even for timed orders placed hours ahead. I order food every Friday and it never disappoints.

We have been to the Hot Sizzling Wok on many occasions and have yet to be disappointed. We’ve been there both for lunch and dinner. The egg drop soup is the best I have ever had. I went with a group of 12 and they accommodated us in a large room and at one table. It was perfect. There was not one complaint about the food or the service. Our waitress deserves a high thanks for her patience in dealing with a large group. Everything was served as ordered and In a timely manner. She was pleasant and so patient. They are willing to prepare the food to suit your taste for spicy, mild or anywhere In between.

I called to see if they deliver to me. They immediately put me on hold, but I could still hear them talking on the other end. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told that they don’t take delivery orders there and that I would have to call a second number to have my order faxed to the resteraunt. I called the second number and it just rang forever. Nobody picked up. I guess I will be crossing this place off my list for easy takeout.

Had the smoked tea duck last night, our second visit. It was the most marvelous duck I have ever had(except mine of course!). The waitress recognized us from our visit two weeks ago and truly welcomed us back. The duck was moist, tender and the smoke flavor came through without being overpowering. Their egg drop soup is top notch. Added as my favorite in Toledo.

Food was average. Forgot part of my order but offered to refund it after I called. A bit pricey for what it is.

Tried this place for the first time today and was not disappointed. We told the waitress we had never been there, so she told us about all the different foods and brought us a sheet that explained everything that went into each dish. We tried the wonton and egg drop soups and both were very flavorful. We also got some of their shrimp puffs, crispy outside and creamy center made them delicious. For our entrée I had the pepper steak combo and my wife had the double pleasure combo. If you leave hungry it is your own fault, the portion sizes are extremely generous and have great flavor just as everything else does. You can order food to go, but I recommend eating there the décor is very nice and up to date. They even have a banquet hill, so if you have a party you can get a whole room to yourself so you don’t need to worry about offending any other people that go to enjoy the amazing food.

Literally the BEST Chinese food in Toledo. Insanely attentive to my vegetarian dietary restrictions; the food is always made super fresh to order, and the flavor profiles are second to none. We eat here at least twice a month, if not more. They make us Cantonese vegetable soup with a vegetable broth every time we come in. They serve delicious sugared wontons with it to sweeten the deal. Our spicy green beans, satay tofu, and avocado spring rolls are always on point. Definitely worth a try! Family owned and operated for 20+ years.

Very good service, perfect spot for a quick bite and inexpensive lunch. The Szechuan Chicken is my favorite(extra spicy) and the egg drop soup is top notch. Good sized portions on the lunch menu, and the combinations make it a great deal for a lunch under $ 8.

This is one of those hidden gems that I am always surprised people have never heard of. I stumbled across it myself on accident and really love it. Everything I have gotten here has been good, but my one true love is the rib appetizer. Wow. Best ribs in town, period. I am always half tempted to skip an entrée and just get 4 orders of those.

Our immediate and extended family has been coming here for almost 20 years. We get almost exclusively take-out. We’ve also ordered very large amounts of food for events and parties. The food is consistently very good. We’ve tried many other Chinese places and always return here. A very friendly family runs this place. The chef(and I presume patriarch) will often come out to greet us with a big smile.

per the advice of Fen Z. I tried the salt and pepper pork chops here, and WOW are they good! Can’t say much about the rest of the menu but the salt and pepper pork chops are amazing, although it can be an adventure to order it sometimes as not all of the waiting staff is aware that this dish is even available.

Ahh Hot Sizzling Wok, how you took me by surprise with your downright delicious dishes and humongous portions. That in itself merits an update! The Guangzhou inspired cooking puts zing back in the authenticity of Chinese dishes. Ya know the phrase ‘Looks can be deceiving’? Well, I can directly apply that to the gourmet hot pot that we ordered. While served in a small hot pot, it was filled to the brim with shrimp, chicken, scallops, bbq pork, and all sorts of veggies — all in a delectable and unique brown sauce. The ginger beef came out piping hot and mighty delicious; it, too, was piled high with meat and veggies. Apparently we had misordered the salt/pepper pork chops this time and ended up with salt/pepper ribs instead. So while the idea of eating fried ribs may not be too appealing, surprisingly, it was quite savory. So there you have it – another addition to good Chinese eating in Toledo. A whopping three places, I should add.
