I had been trying to sell my house for a few months and I got really lucky — someone gave me an offer! I accepted and everything was set to go; all that was left to be done was the inspection. I lived in the house for a few years and everything had been inspected in the past so I wasn’t worried. But after the inspection I got the news that the buyer was rescinding her offer. She did not give a reason why. I was able to get a copy of the inspection report, and it basically was a bunch of lies. The inspector said there were leaks in the hot water heater, and cracks in the furnace. She said she thought there was a gas leak in the oven. So of course the buyer backed out — it would cost a lot of money to fix all of those things. I had an expert come in and take a look (which cost me money out of my pocket) and he said everything was 100% perfect — no problems! I don’t understand how an inspection company can just make up stories and say there are things wrong with a house when there is nothing wrong with it at all! She was the reason why my house didn’t sell. I surely hope that no one gives this company the time of day.
