Got here at 630 for a 730 show. Garbage fries and Knockout burger were fantastic. The bartenders are great, but very slow service by waitresses. I don’t know if it’s because there’s not enough of them or what. Still waiting for the show but so far it’s not terrible. Prices are comparable with Bdubs.

Laffs Inc Entertainment and Sidelines Kitchen make a good pair. Good good and the best comedy in Toledo. I dont like the automatic gratuity during the weekends but that’s because I normally tip more than 18% but everything else is good. I love the improv events.

We went to see a friend perform during open mic night, the first Thursday of every month. I liked the way they set it up, there’s really nothing different from the way club soda was when it was open but it’s a nice venue for a comedy club. The service is VERY slow. There was maybe one bartender for everyone ordering drinks at the tables and there was no waitress at all. I’m not sure what the other 3 people behind the bar were doing but I know what they weren’t doing! I had a few drinks and bought some for my friends. Spent about $ 50 total. Drink prices weren’t great but also not horrible for a comedy club. I’m sure we’ll visit again!

Full disclosure right up front, I was comped tickets for their grand re-opening July 31, 2015. The club has been open for about a year and a half, but«reopened» with a full kitchen tonight. The kitchen is serving a portion of the menu from Sidelines restaurants. It was a private event, mostly friends and family of the owners and staff, and people that worked on or with them for the remodel. I was given tickets because I have favorably reviewed a Sidelines restaurant in the past. —-Now my honest opinion of the night — - The food is very good, high quality just as if I was in the restaurant proper. I expected nothing less, and they provided well on that front. The space is wonderful and set up perfectly for a comedy club. I had a very enjoyable evening and greatly enjoyed the opening act and the headliner for the night. Based on the schedule of who the club has brought in in the past, and who is scheduled in coming months, it’s a great spot for comedy. Service was adequate, not great, not but bad. It was clear the waitstaff didn’t know the menu as well as they should. Even for an opening night, the waitress didn’t even know what type of french fries they served. We were told waffle fries, to which one in our party chose to order something else. Then when other orders came to the table, it was regular fries. The waitress apologized for her mistake. It honestly wasn’t a huge deal, but it does detract a bit. Waitstaff should be better educated. Sticking with service, the waitress brought out bill during the show, which had me talking to her briefly instead of enjoying the show. Again, relatively minor, but it shouldn’t happen. There is a «two item» minimum for each member of a party, which for dinner and a show should be expected. We each had a meal and a soda as none of the three of us are drinkers. We were either under charged or overcharged depending on if soda’s have free refills. The three of us were charged for four drinks. Not factoring this into the review either way, just noting it. At the end of the night, the bill was almost $ 68 for three of us and no alcohol. It’s stated at the entrance, but I’m not happy about it, there is a mandatory 18% gratuity added in. I don’t like being forced into«gratuity.» Add it to the price, or let me decide how much the waitress was worth, you can’t have it both ways. Tonight my waitress definitely wasn’t worth it. Had I had to pay the cover as well, it would have been over $ 100 for about 90 minutes of entertainment for three people. More than generally fits in my budget, but if that’s worth it to you, you won’t be disappointed. The food is good and the space is great for comedy. It is a little cramped, they really packed in the tables, but that effects the waitstaff not the guests. I take off one star for the forced tips, and another for the waitstaff training. That said, I now follow the club on social networks and when the right comedian comes to town, I’ll go back. Just can’t be a frequent visitor due to the price.

The wonderful staff only accents the amazing acts that come through Toledo’s #1 spot for comedy! Great for first dates, and groups of friends. Come to Laffs and laugh!

Went there tonight to see the final performance of The Amazing Jonathan. The show was sold out. They were even sitting people around the whole bar. We were seated at a table on the side with another couple. There’s only about 6 – 8 drinks to choose from(or beer or wine) and 4 food items(appetizers) And that’s it. You can’t order any drinks that’s NOT on the menu. NODAIQUIRI The server finally came over to the table after 15 minutes. She finally came back with ¾ drinks. The server must have been taking care of at least 20+ tables and she could only handle 1 table at a time. The other couple at the table ordered 2 appetizers. She brought 1 out and 10 minutes later brought the other one out. They have the seats and tables so close together we couldn’t get up. Towards the end of the show the server brought the check to the table and she put the whole table on one bill so she had to re do it. 30.00 for 2 drinks and 2 sodas which they include 18% gratuity(tip) which they don’t tell you about. You pay the bill AFTER the show. Good luck trying to get your server in a timely manor. Every other comedy club I have been to you pay the bill BEFORE the end of the show so that you may easily leave. FINALLY they had the comedians sitting by the door do that they could sell their merchandise which made it that more difficult to get out. The comedian was 5 stars. The club(atmosphere and service) I would give 0⁄5 if I could but the lowest I can give it for this review is a 1. Every one else was complaing about the poor service. Unless they get their SH*T together I will NEVER nor would I recommend anyone to go there EVER!
